So, who's going to DL or WDW in January 2011? Thought I'd ask, seeing as we've just got past the October school holidays!

Plus I'm showing off my cute new ticker, which says officially that I have less than 3 months to go!

We fly out 8th Jan for DL. I finish work on the 23rd Dec, and am hopefully not due back until the 24th Jan - a whole MONTH off work!!! I was going back for the 1st week after New Years (our plant always shuts down for that period), but on talking to my brother yesterday, I realised that I might as well have the 4 days from 4th - 7th Jan off! Just waiting for my boss to sign it off...

So who's with us???

I'm potentially going to DLR in January.

DH has to be in San Francisco the week of the 31st January for the whole week. It is still school holidays...well, school goes back on the 4th; so we are having a look at coming back on the Sunday 6th and DS missing that day.

We're thinking we might fly out around Australia Day, head to LA and spend a couple of nights at Anaheim. We would then take a slow drive up PCH to San Francisco. It's been years since we've driven up the coast and DS is keen to see Hearst Castle and the "beach" where a number of Disney shows seem use as a backdrop.

We won't be locking anything in till probably closer towards Christmas.

Me!!! ha ha. I need to get a ticker but I don't know how - and Heidi I notice you updated my age - I was enjoying still being 35 according to you.

Woohoo!!! We'll be at the Boardwalk Inn for 1.5 days of "down" time (Jan 2-4) so no parks unfortunately. DH is planning on using the resort facilities and go putt putt golfing. I've been given permission to go outlet shopping for one whole day!

Not there yet...:rotfl:

How exciting,Princess! I wish we could spend more time looking around California. Thanks, I thought the ticker was cute, but i only figured out how to get one based on your know-how! Yes Tan, I did update your age. I love being 34 LOL. I will tell you how to get a ticker tonight or tomorrow, just call me.

I would love to say we will be going but no we are trying to put some money on the mortgage but I am definatly going back maybe before what my tickers says.

Who knows what will happen.

I'll be at Disneyland from the 12th and celebrating my 40th there on the 15th. Will then have a few days in SFC and Vegas before back to DL for another 3 days before heading home on the 25th. Short trip but packing heaps in!

Luisa, I've been waiting for you to come along LOL.

Our paths may cross somewhere b/w the 12th and 15th (my daughter and I head to Hawaii on the morning of the 15th, but Aust will still be there all of the 15th before flying home that night).

So, when are we officially allowed to get REALLY excited?

I officially got excited when a frequent flyer seat popped up with Qantas and I got a great deal on HoJo through Agoda! Am so excited I sit reading the Dis most nights on my tiny iPhone screen while cooking/eating/watching tv so I don't miss any news! :)

Aust and Luisa - Love :lovestruc the new tickers.
Thankyou, have noticed it doesn't show up when using the Disboards app though. Kinda makes it obvious that I'm continually checking the boards rather than something constructive like the washing up!

We're officially booking our WDW vacation TODAY for the week of January 9th!!! :jumping3: We'll be doing a Grand Gathering of about 20 of my very closest relatives, LOL. It'll definitely be the trip of a lifetime!

will be in Disneyland 20th Jan for 6 days after cruising the Hawaiian islands and visiting LA this is my first trip to USA and Disneyland

We are leaving Syd to WDW on the 20th Jan.Havent booked our acc yet still looking at Carribean or Boardwalk.Has anyone stayed at either or recommend one ?

I hope for all of you going to WDW in January 2011 that the weather is kind to you. We were there from Jan 1st to 16th this year and I could not begin to tell you how cold it was. One day it did not get beyond 3 degrees celcius. We wern't prepared for it, so we layered most of our clothes each day and had to buy more jumpers, as well as hats, scarves and gloves. Still freezing in WDW is better than being anywhere else (exept maybe DL) :rotfl2:
