January 2011!!

:surfweb: Okay.
So I know half the fun of going to disney is tinkering w/ your dining ressies, making slight adjustments to plans here and there. I assumme most people stop that at 45 days out and just anticipate. :rolleyes1
I am 39 days out and I've been thinking and looking at a few things.
Right now our agenda to drive to St. Louis on 1/23 spend the night and catch the 6:30am flight and arrive MCO at 10am. It's all booked and paid for. .... so I was just thinking, in the grand scheme of things how much more would it cost to stay at Disney instead of STL that night? only about $30 taking meals and all into account!!:thumbsup2
:cool1: So ... if sometime in the next 35 days SW puts their flights back on sale and I can get the flight on the 23rd for close to the same price as I now have on the 24th ... and if they have room at the Pop on 1/23 (which I'm assumming should not be too far fetched in late Jan. :thumbsup2), then we will catch the 1:30pm flight on the 23rd, arrive MCO about 5pm grab some dinner at the Pop. Our luggage should be delived between 8 and 9. We can unpack that night, get a good night sleep and hit the parks bright and early the 24th. :woohoo: AND we won't have to get up at 4am to catch the early morning flight. :dance3:
So maybe this all does hang on a lot of "ifs" :rotfl2:
Doesn't this sound like a good idea? :thumbsup2
:cool1: am I completely nuts or does anyone else tinker this late?

29 days left and I'm still tinkering around! Last night we were so ready to go I priced out staying at POP for the next month! Told DH it would be around $4K without tickets and he was ready for me to book it! Unfortunately, I then explained that our bank accounts would not be happy seeing that we would not paid since we don't have enough vacation to cover it.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one out there!!:woohoo:
And may I tell you how BRAVE I think you are for going w/ 20 family members!! :worship:
What wonderful memories you will make!!! It reminds me of when the whole family would get together for Christmas. :) There will be scwables, Uncle Fred will get drunk and do something stupid, but there will SO many fun things. And with Disney magic all mixed in!! No wonder you are so anxious!!

I don't think brave is the correct word.....more like CRAZY! :rotfl: I seriously think I have lost my mind! To the point that I actually applied for a job at Disney last night! I really think getting it is a long shot, but as my DH said you never know unless you try!

Anyway, on top of all of this my MIL suffered a bad seizure yesterday. Just hoping now we can all make it! She was pretty much the biggest reason for this trip. I'm not looking forward to next week when we have our last real meeting before this trip. Everyone just seems to not even care. I have been asked numerous time (lately) what the dates of the trip are. Seriously, we are a month away and you have clue what day we are leaving!

Hope you have a good trip, ours ends just as yours begins!

We are planning on going from 12/31/10-1/7/11 we have all the ticket and reservations but things keep going wrong. Cross your fingers for us, we need this vacation!

Looks like things are back on track, sorted things out at work about the time off mix up. I had to pick up more hours now to make up for the hours I would be taking off but come on its for Disney! So I got my time off and all looks to be headed in the right direction once more... less then two weeks, lets see if we cant keep it heading in the right direction, no more misshaps please!!!

Our ME info. arrived last week, and we were kind of stunned, since it took longer to get it for our last trip. Plus, we're still in recovery mode from the last trip! Anyway, it had a small mistake in it, but that doesn't matter because we'll be getting new ME paperwork since I just upgraded our trip to a Deluxe Dining package with a stay at WL!

Got all my ME and travel info this weekend, it's hard to believe it's so soon. With Christmas on the horizon I don't think I have let it all sink it yet!

:thumbsup2 What Disney job did you apply for? That's too cool!!

I hope your MIL heals quickly. Nothing is better for the soul than a Disney trip! :yay:
No one is worried about when they are leaving, because they know you are handling when they leave and what they are doing when. All they have to do is show up! :goodvibes

I applied for a Sr. Financial Analyst position with the resort. I would love to get it! I've always wanted to work for Disney. My dream was to go to UCF and then do the college program, but my mom put a stop to that! She didn't want me to go out of state for school. I want out of the cold! I finished my MBA last year and I've been a financial analyst at my current job for about 3.5 years.

Doctors gave her the go ahead when she got out of the hospital on Saturday! They said it will be good for her. I think anytime I can get her out of her house is good for her. She seemed better Sunday, I'll see her again tomorrow.

And we're still tinkering at 24 days out! We're trying to see when everyone is working the day we leave and trying to leave a little earlier than scheduled. Not much just an hour or 2, but it makes a difference to me! The sooner I cross into S. Carolina and hopefully feel warmth, the sooner I become happy!

Just booked last weekend to take advantage of free dinning!

We leave in exactly 5 weeks from today. Staying 5 nights at POFQ. First time at a mod and first time on the DDP. :thumbsup2

I'm in January too..... the 24th thru the 29th ... hoping to do some tours, maybe Cirque du Soleil, and adult activities that I don't get to do when traveling with family. Looking forward to some "me"time.

Just found this site. We leave Jan.2nd!! We are telling our kids on Christmas morning. DH and I are bursting with excitment.
We are staying at the Fort Wilderness cabins. 6 days of Disney and one day at Universal.
It is our very first family vacation. Myself, DH, DD 14, DD 10, DD and DS 7.
