January 2011 Scrapbook Challenge - PJLLA is the WINNER!!

thanks for figuring out my total Buffy!!! I'm sure my "lead" won't last though...I don;t think I'll be scrapping any more this month, doing my swap stuff now!

6 more for me today. I've got to get the house under control tomorrow--the clutter is about to make me go CRAZY!!! If I get time after that, maybe I can get some more done. I think I lack about 30 in DS's album (since I underestimated). Hoping to be done by next weekend. . .maybe!

8 MORE FOR ME!! I hope that we are counting digital scrapbooking. I started this book July 2010 and I am finally getting something done!

I also completed my girls Epcot Passports this weekend too! :woohoo:

I did 4 today. - Technically, one still needs an embellishment, but I know it will be hard to find, so the pages went in the book anyway (I hope that's what counts!) and I'll add it when I can find it.

Lana,
Cleaning your room is 1/2 the battle!! I have to do mine tonight too. I have paper everywhere! It's time to trim down scraps, reorganize and get back to work. I need to get out of the 1990's this year!! I'm stuck in 1997! LOL

Holly, Of course we count digital!! We count all pages. :thumbsup2

Polly the missing embellie is fine. I do that sometimes too if I can't find something right away. Just make sure you make a note so you don't forget and use it on something else.

Updated to here!!

I got 4 full pages done yesterday and today. I also need to know how you would like to count the Epcot Birthday Brag Book I made for my daughter. Twelve 8x8 pages with matted photos, single line handwritten text, no embellishments (with the exception of the first page that has some flower embellies). You decided how many it counts as and I will post pics soon :)

10 for me tonight! The Branson trip book is halfway done :)

I completed 12 more pages last night - woohoo!!

Everyone is doing great! I'm back home today with another sick little one, and I'm hoping to get back tot he scrap table for a little while.

when did you do to Branson? we lived there in July 94 - Aug 95...Jim built the "Top of the Rock Country Club" for John L. Morris (Bass Pro Shops owner) did you like it? the only part we like was Silver Dollar City, hated the traffic, we got out of town a least one weekend a month.

DH and I had a great time. We stayed at a B & B outside of town and drove the outside loops (mostly) to get to shows. I hated it the couple times we drove through town on "main street" the traffic was awful!

I'm taking the girls to Branson for spring break. I think it will be fun for them, as they are both interested in being performers of some type after they graduate from college. Nice to show them options other than New York & LA.

they were just finished the Loops a couple of months before we left...the don't call the main drag "the longest parking lot in the world" for nothing :lmao:, we did see a few shows....Tony Orlando & Dawn, Helen Reddy when she visited, Osmonds and the Will Rogers show, we loved that one, the other were eh, not Jim's thing either...but I'm sure the girls will love seeing them.
There used to be a dinner show boat that went out on Table Rock Lake that was pretty good, not sure if its still there though, the lake is pretty!

Small World. I went to college in Springfield, MO, right outside of Branson. I lived there from Aug. 1995 until May 2000. Everyone in Springfield called it "Steal Your Dollar City". I do love it at SDC during Christmas though, amazing!!! We went two years ago for Christmas and they have revitalized the whole downtown area of Branson, not on the loop. It was really cool!!

we went to Springfield a bunch...usually one a month Jim would call me from work Sat morning (usualy worked until noon) he'd say"pack a bag and pick a direction!" our big trips were to : St Louis, Eureka Spings, Hot Springs, Memphis!
that's good, downtown needed a big boost.. one time I was following a car down the strip and the driver was video taping while she was driving, traffic was moving like 3 miles a hour...always thought it was funny when the tour buses came to town and they would stop at the Wal-Mart for one of there "tourist stops"...
the best story, I worked with a girl who's sister worked at one of the hotels that was locared on the "Blue Route", she had a family coming in who got lost, they kept calling, the couldn't find the road that was "blue", they thought the road was actually blue...when they checked in, they were amazed that it had an elevator, they never been in one ! they were from way up in the Ozarks mountains somewhere and this was their first trip to the "big city".
It was just a bit to small town for us and not enough for us to do! but a great place to visit!

Agreed, Springfield was too small town even. I can not imagine that someone would think Branson was a big city-LOL As soon as my husband graduated we moved to the STL area. I need to be closer to an airport-LOL

Please add 26 pages to my total. I really need to take less pictures while at Disney, all those pages were from Epcot and that does not include the 10 pages that I had already done.
