We were able to get a midsize from Alamo for Jan 14 to Jan 22 for $101.27. We used the Insider special 20% off on Florida/California rentals and the $40 off coupon from Mousesavers (AD4027JDO). I was surprised that it would go so low!

As others have noted, the price has gone way down over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, it'll go down a bit further before we get there!

We got a full size for $88 using the same codes, 1/17-1/23
I was also pleasantly surprised at how low I could get my rate!

It's free, so all you have to do is sign up through Alamo's home page. I've got some pretty good discounts from them.

I was really hoping to try National's Emerald Aisle for this trip, but the lowest I can get with National for my dates is $145 using the Amex codes. I've been watching it. The week right before mine is lower and I keep waiting to see if my week drops too. I arrive on the 16th. Congratulations on your great price. Right now it for pickups prior to Jan. 11th. It should change any day now, just hope the direction is down and not up.

Bummer....they just released last minute rates for my timeframe (National) and the rates are higher instead of lower. Oh well. I got a rate I'm happy with. It would've been nicer to save even more. I still have 12 days left. Maybe next weeks last minute fares will be lower.

I managed $237 total for a 2 week full size reservation. The same full size would cost me $219 with Alamo, but I'd rather pay the extra $20 to use Exec. Aisle and score something bigger. I'm still watching.
