January 2010. . . Anyone else going???

That's one thing I remember about going in January - the restaurant list is always being added to. It's because the non-disney owned restaurants have to renegotiate contracts each year and some aren't done until late in the year. I know it drives a lot of DISers crazy in planning, but I heard that they pretty much always are renewed.

I hope all of you have a Happy New Year!! Especially since you get to go to WDW to start it off!!

am I the last to notice that they have added a second showing of F! on the two nights that the show runs the last week of January?! I was planning on skipping it altogether this trip, but now with the extra shows, the crowds might not be so bad for the later shows. I hate it when they do this! I feel like I have to revisit all our plans now. Am I the only one going through "last-minute-panic-itis"?

Happy New Year everyone pixiedust:

Glad to see they are adding more restaurants to the dining plans. I was a little disappointed in the 2010 selection. Have fun every one leaving this weekend, great way to start off the New Year!!! 24 more days for me

That's why we don't overplan....you can get very frustrated when the calendar of events changes-even sometimes for the better! For all our trips we have never done Fantasmic! -maybe in January, we too will take advantage-I try not to sweat it out too much.... :goodvibes

They did this when we went earlier this month too. I didn't know until I got there! It didn't change our plans too much, (we had hoppers) we did go to a later show, and while it was crowded, it wasn't full.

I wish we could go we went 4 times last year so we need to cool it a little. We are going in the fall for sure

Noticed this earlier this week, and yes it may or may not help me! If I was "winging" my DHS dinner plans it would be great, BUT of course I booked a late HBD! Plan backfired now ???:confused3 We'll have to see.

And I still don't have that email !!!!:headache:

Sooooo excited! Only one more day until we leave for Orlando - 2 before we're actually in the parks. We're staying at POR Jan 3-10. A little stressed about the weather forecast - it looks like it is going to be chilly. So much for escaping the cold. Oh well, better to be cold in Disneyworld than at home!

We're leaving tomorrow too! We check into BWI on the 3rd, and are staying til the 9th. Yup, it is looking like it will be chilly, so it was hard to figure what to pack. I think I only have 2 t-shirts, and the rest being long sleeve and sweaters. Oh well, looking forward to it nonetheless. Safe travels all!

Happy New Year!!! Only 8 more days for us!! I just need to unpack from our Christmas trip so I can start packing for Disney!! Looks like 67/70 for our first two days if the forecast holds..

Happy new year snowbirds! Can't wait for our trip, 16 days away!

I was just reading my recent email from Disney and saw the Photopass discount. What is the least expensive 'package' you can purchase? I'm looking at the CD now and I think it's listed as $99.95. I honestly can't decide if it's worth it just for DH and me. However, we usually just have a couple pictures of the two of us, the rest are individual photos where the other is taking the pic. Thoughts?
You could always get the photopass people to take picutes with your camera as well. Then when you get home you could have the pictures from both. If there were a couple of PP pics that were really great that you wanted you could just order those

I am right there with ya! I am very happy about the extra showing of Fantasmic. It is a must for us and this will make it that much easier if we stay for the 2nd show instead ( I hope!!) I was worried about not getting our specifics done and making it to the show early enough to get some seats. Good luck with your last minute re-planning!

I was thinking that might work out better for us, considering it's just the two of us I can't imagine needing $100 worth of photos from the CM photographer. We'll get a card and will see which ones we like best, I don't see needing a full CD of photos from them, my camera takes great ones. Thanks!

Happy vacationing.

We are going to Disney this month! Woohoo!

I really need to get started on the packing and final planning.

Have you thought about looking for a photopass share? I found one through the TGM site, not sure if you can find other people through the DIS to share a CD! Just a thought...

Monday after the kids get out of school we will be on our way. So only 3 more sleeps and then we'll be on our Way. I guess I better get packing soon. LOL!!!

Everyone who's leaving soon, have fun!!!!! We have just over 2 weeks to go . . . 10 days of work . . . but who's counting??

Hey all you January tripsters!!!
This is YOUR month! Wish it was mine too. (I know I sound like a whiny ungrateful kid - I just went).
I hope you all have a great trip!
