January 2010. . . Anyone else going???

6 days until we leave for WDW! I'm starting to get a bit concerned about the long range forcast for our area. They are predicting snow the day before and the day we are due to fly out!! Here's hoping that the weather is wrong!

I'm right there with you worrying about our departure date. We may have to drive to KC a day ahead and spend the night. Unfortunately that won't guarantee the flights will leave. Maybe it won't be too much snow THIS time!

I've starting packing!

Still need to place my grocery order.

I want to go watch princess and the frog.

Two more days left until we depart. Snowing here in Kansas, so not going to miss that at all. Highs of 55 make the 4 degree temp we have this morning feel like the Bahama's!!

Have you stayed at CBR before? Am thinking about switching from POR to CBR...any thoughts? :confused3

We have never been to CBR before, the kids wanted someplace new. I think we have stayed at most all the resorts. A friend just got back from CBR in December and loved it. I love WL the best, I think.

we are leaving at the end of the month for our first stay at GF!!!!! let the countdown begin!!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9::woohoo::jumping1:

Where are you from in KS? We are going in 4 days so we will be there at the same time. I'm thinking we live very close based on that Jayhawk for your avitar...also your name is sounding quite familiar!!! We live in Eudora.

One more sleep for me!!! :cool1:

Am meant to be packing but couldn't help just popping on the disboards!!

This time tomorrow we'll be on the plan :goodvibes

To all my fellow January snowbirds have a fantastic vacation might see some of you there! :wave2:

I also think jpierce sound familiar from some basketball talk! Go jawhawks!! We are also leaving on the 7th. Hoping the snow doesn't hit to hard and delay our flight that day!!

Is anyone willing to share their packing list with us? :teacher:

We are coming from Ontario, staying at Disney for 7 days (Jan 14-21) and then to the cruise for 3 days (Jan 21-24). It's our first trip and I'm feeling overwhelmed. We are looking at the weather and it looks cool.

Help?!?

What types of things do you order and how long is your stay???

Enjoy your trip!

I am packing mostly summer clothes a couple pairs of jeans and long sleeved shirts and then a sweater. Being in Canada their cold is still warm to us.

I packed that way last year and it worked out great for us.

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Woo-Hoo. Only 6 more days and we would just now be arriving at MCO. I cannot wait to get to some warmer weather. It is so cold and windy today in PA. On this trip it was so last minute (we literally booked it the day after Christmas...:rotfl:) that for some reason I am more relaxed then when I booked months in advance. :confused3 Oh well, I think I may have to do it this way every year! Cannot wait!!!!! :goodvibes

So I pulled out out suitcases yesterday - only to be reminded - our last trip the wheel broke off the one case, and the zipper on the other. So I have been luggage shopping and I am not liking anything I see. Anyone have reccomendations for tried and true luggage?

Hi there! I'll share my grocery order... For an 8 night stay we order, seltzer water, bottled water, a few apples and bananas, clorox bleach wipes, lysol, milk and diapers. We use Garden Grocer and love their service! It is nice to have some drinks and snacks in the room for the convenience. And it is soooo nice not to have to pack diapers!!

ENJOY your trip to WDW and your cruise!

Don't buy black!!!

I was trying to figure out the sMe thing, 60s is warmer feeling in the spring bt chilly felling in the fall

I have mostly legging and dresses or tops and jeans for my daughter. Didn't know if it will be warm enough for shorts?? We will be coming from Chicago with temps in the teens so I am sure 60 will feel like heaven!!

I am going to bring polar fleeces and jackets for the evenings

Same thing happened to us, the wheels and handle on the larger suitcase broke last year. I just gave DH his anniversary gift (it's today, 6 years), a Delsey Helium Fusion 29" suitcase. It's really nice, sturdy, and inexpensive online. The reviews I read on it were very good. It is black but I always put some obnoxious ribbon on it, but they also have a bright blue. Good luck!
