MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you Snowbirds. We are REALLY looking forward to our trip in 13 days after having a foot of snow here overnight. This is the first Christmas I can ever remember having this much snow on Christmas. It is beautiful, but sure putting a crimp in travel plans. As long as I can get to the airport and that airplane can fly me to Orlando on the 7th I will be a happy camper!

Hope Santa brings all of you what you were wishing for.

Ha ha ha! If there was such a program I know for sure that my father-in-law would have me put there!!

He asked to see my Disney "bible" as he calls it while they were here for Christmas dinner. Yeah, he laughed until I handed it to him and he started reading it - it's a binder with all the information for our upcoming trip...all in assigned tabbed files with page inserts and page protectors. I think he might actually have been impressed! Or it was just the "Christmas Spirit" that finally got to him!

Now that Christmas is done, January the 25th cannot come fast enough!

renting points for a BCV studio Jan 11-15 to celebrate our 25th and to see our son's college perform at one of the Downtown Disney stages on Jan 12 (good excuse for a trip)

Kind of playing it by ear, not a lot of reservations as is our style. Did book a lunch at Chefs de France for lunch to hopefully see Remy and also booked the segway tour at Epcot. Probably going to do the counter service meal plan.

any weather tips besides layers? Will we have the showers like happen in the Spring?

Christmas is over now I can really get excited about Disney!

Oh I hear that! I keep thinking, it's not too soon to take down the Christmas Tree is it? After all, it's been up for a WHOLE WEEK already! Trying to get all the gifts sorted out, organized and put away so I can start cleaning up bedrooms and THEN pull out the summer clothes bins and start doing laundry and packing!

Hello (I joined this group minute ago!), we are first-time Disney tourists and we are going Jan 27 - Feb 4/2010! We are staying at one of the Fort Wilderness cabins as my wife & I have 4 kids (groups over 5 have limited Disney Resort accomodation options). I was unsure what to do with the Dining Plan and ended up buying the one with a snack, counter-service meal, & table-service meal per person per day. Any pointers please?!?!

Make your table service reservations ASAP. If you don't have park hoppers, look at the daily calendar and figure out what park on which day (we try to go to the park that had pm EMH the night before). Then plan restaurants either in or near that park. If you're looking for a character meal, book it first, as they tend to fill up. Many people were able to book their TS meals months in advance, so it might be hard to get some places that are more popular. You can check out menus at allears.net or on the DIS main page too.
