I hate to say it but I have to leave the snowbirds group!! We have decided to go in early December and take advantage of the extended free dining.

I have offically gone Disney crazy I was planning on doing a solo trip but a friend of mine decided to join me and run the marathon too I was booked at ASM but then we decided to rent points and stay at SSR but now with all this talk of possible good deals I am thinking we should just book a MOD hotel and keep our fingers crossed that we get a really good deal I don't know what to do. SSR seems so quite and relaxing but I do like to save money

I would be taking advantage of it to if DH had the vacation time left in 2009. At least you get to go before the rest of us!

Honeymoon 1/27 - 2-10 POR
Been trying to scope out all the fun and romantic things to do and see!

I've been before but this will be his first time!

Congrats! My DH's first trip was for our honeymoon too! Make sure you wear the hats for brides and grooms or at least the pins! You never know when they'll throw somethign special at you. We got lots of special desserts and it was nice to have everyone wish us a happy marriage.
We didn't do too much for our honeymoon except a nice dinner at Alfredo's (now closed) and the Luau at the Poly. The luau was nice because they recognized everyone that was celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary by inviting them to come up and dance to the Hawaiian Wedding song. It was sweet!

We are going to share a room so that helps a lot! but all this free dining talk gets me excited!

Okay, I will be sure to let you know. I am nervous about getting LeCellier for a decent time at dinner. DH's co-worker called at his 90 day mark and could only get it at 8:45 or something like that.

Is that because of the +10 for on-property people? But you're on-property. I don't get where all the ADRs are going.

I'm going to try for CRT, but expect to get Akershus for breakfast. Our 90 days will be Oct and I'm getting nervous too. Plus we only have a three day (in the parks) stay.

In my opinion it's because it is 90 days now. It used to be 180 days. I never had one single problem getting exactly what I wanted at 180 days. Why? Well if you think about it, not everyone has their vacation planned 6 months in advance. Therefore not everyone was calling on the same day. Now that it's 90 days, I think most people have their vacation planned at 3 months out. And that means everyone is calling on the same day.

But we'll see. . . This will be my first experience with the 90 day thing. I will let everyone know how it goes!

So, here's something to stress out all you (over)planners.....

I think we are going to get our plane tix this weekend. We're flying on miles and want to get that booked ($15 for O'Hare to MCO, not bad). Anyway, I think I may wait to book a hotel until some discounts are announced. I know!

Now, we're looking at Swan/Dolphin. Yesterday the lady gave me "teacher rates" that were not so spectacular, but still a discount from what I find online. Today, I called about a different weekend (earlier) and he said teacher rates have not been released. Period. No checking or speculating. But he did think they would be out soon.

I think we'll book that, when rates come out, and if Disney comes out with something better, we'll change resorts.

But we did change weekends. There are no 2-Queen beds at the Swan and no garden view at CR for the last weekend of Jan. That smells like conventions to us. But both are available the weekend before.

Too Funny. We're flying out of Grand Rapids, MI and we're praying to the snow gods as well.
