And booking ADR's online is SO COOL. I love being able to see different options if what I want is unavailable. Get on and "practice" to see how it works before your 90+10 day arrives. I can't wait till Oct. 9th...that is my 90+10 day. I have my list already made in priority order! : )

Unless you put a reservation number in it will only go 90 days out. Then, if you put in a request and it doesn't have it available it will come back and tell you there is nothing available but it will give you different options that are available at alternate locations. If you play with the times you request, it might have options available at different times. Try searching some of the not so popular restaurants to practice. That way it is more likely to accept your request and find a time available for you. If you are searching for Ohana's or Chef Mickey's you aren't likely to find anything. That is why I hope to use it as early as possible on the 90+10 day for my trip. I've practiced because we are going in September and I have been trying to arrange our "Free" dining. It is nice because you can book, but then you can also cancel if you find something that works better for you. No more long distance phone calls and sitting on the phone for 45 minutes. (Unless there is something special you need). If you have more questions just ask and I can try to help. Or there is a special thread going about the ADR online system.

I just read on the CODES board that someone was told by their TA that VERY LIKELY the 7/4 deal will be happening again for JAnuary- June 2010!

Just wanted to put in an update...just changed our December 26-January 2 trip from BLT to GF. We are very excited and cannot wait!

Since we were discussing ADR's yesterday, I thought it would fun to 'practice' by making a list of our priorities.

Here are mine-

Akershus (Preferably our first night. It's alot to ask, I know, but my DD Belle has a Belle gown and has been asking about this for months already.)

O’Hana (Our favorite place- as well as the other 90% of travelers.)

CRT (I wishing.... but if it doesn't happen, I'm okay, too.)

Yak & Yeti (Our 2nd favorite place.)

Les Chefs (For lunch. Dying to try the grilled ham & cheese.)

50’s Prime Time (If I don't get this, I will not be hurt at all. DHS does nothing for me food-wise.)

Last November, Disney released a deal where if you bought 4 nights at a resort and 4 day MYW tix, they would give you 3 nights and 3 days (tix) FREE!!! We went in January using this deal and it was GREAT!!! We were able to upgrade to a deluxe! Plus, if you booked for Jan-March, they threw in a $200 gift card FREE!!!

Yes, you still pay for the DP for 7 days. That would be VERY nice, though.

That's a great list so far! Belle would be in heaven to go to Akershus!

I may need some guidance from those of you who have tried so many of the restaurants. I'm still undecided on where to take my DH for his birthday dinner. We aren't big ADR people- used to be but then we had kids so the only restaurants I've eaten at are Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, and the Luau at the Poly before it was Ohana's. I guess I should start studying those menus!

what if a person is only going 6 nights....do you think they would let us pay for 4, and just get 2 free??? Anybody know how that worked last January?

I have a room only ressie set for 6 nights for Jan.

I know I know, we're crazy for not wanting the full 7 nights....but last trip, we were disney'd out by day 6.

Darn it! I was hoping it would be free dining..that would save us soooo much more $$. oh well.....I'm not going to let it stop us from going!! Woo hoo!! We're almost down to the 5 month count down!

You don't have to take all the free nights but you do have to pay for the first 4!

We only did 6 last year, although I was tempted to book 7 since it wouldn't have cost anymore so we could 1) not have to check out by 11 since technically we had the room another night, and 2) to add an extra day of the DDP. Didn't end up doing it though...felt too guilty thinking I may be taking someone's room!

If it is the 7/4 deal again, we will be staying for a long time. I'm planning to arrive on Jan. 2, which falls on a Saturday and last year the deal didn't start until the following Sunday. So we would be there from Saturday-the next Sunday. Wow!

For anyone that took them up on the deal last January, was there anything additional if you were staying longer than 7 nights? We are going for 9 nights in January. I'm thrilled to have a 4/3 special, but I wonder if we will be paying full rack rate for 2 more days then. I'm sure not complaining, but just wondering and planning. : )
