January 2009

First of all, your parrot outfit is FABULOUS!! :goodvibes I love the hair feathers. Sooo sorry that the dessert was not good. That's a huge bummer. I get so excited about food, and I hate it when I get my hopes up and it's just plain un-tasty. :sad2: I agree--at least ONE of the cakes should have been fresh! :confused3

The Pirate Party looks so fun! Too bad about the desserts though!

Can't wait for more!

I am really loving your TR. I came off a 4 day WONDER-ful cruise less than a month ago.

We had table 15 at dinner... pretty much the same rotation (A, P, P, T). I ate the same thing you did at Parrot Cay. :) One of our servers was Attica. He was pretty cool.

The corned beef hash was To. Die. For.

What a gorgeous view of the island from the boat! That view could certainly cure any bad feelings I was having. I can't wait to hear more.

Nooo not the camera!

Awww! I was admiring this pose of Mia's and the next moment I was reading about the camera tragedy!! :sad1: So sorry... poor little camera... you gave your life so unselfishly for the DISboards!!

Castaway Cay looks dreamy....

The Ariel/Mia picture is one of my very favorites! I'm so sorry about the camera though. Ironically, I did the EXACT SAME THING when G and I cruised before Belle was born. We were stuck buying a $40 disposable on the ship and he's almost forgiven me for that.

Seeing Castaway Cay seriously makes me want to book a cruise!

So sorry about your camera! I have a Canon Elph too and am going to replace it soon with a more SLR like Canon. It's a great camera though!

Breakfast looks yummy! With that view and a day at the Private Island on a hammock, you'll feel much better about your camera!

Great update!;)

This picture is so tranquil and beautiful - I love it.

Can't wait to read your full report on Castaway Cay. What a great place to distract you from the fact that it was your last cruise day.:goodvibes

So sorry to hear about the camera.:sad2: I hear you on not wanting to wear the camera strap and lookin' like a tourist. However, have you seen these:

Not only do they protect your camera, but you will be making a fashion statement at the same time!;) But beware: they are addictive. Pretty soon you will want a bunch to coordinate with different outfits!

Looking forward to more!:goodvibes

Awwww, that's awful about your camera! Sounds like something I would do. :lmao:

I'm so glad your mom had the other one along...Can't wait to read more!

Oh your poor little elph! :sad2: I am so glad that your Mom had a backup camera for you to use! Yay! :yay:

I love the mermaid photo, very cute!

Look at those pictures of Castaway Cay! Amazing!

I love that picture of Mia and Ariel! What a perfect outfit and a perfect pose :goodvibes I'm so sorry about your little elph. Have you replaced it yet? It's a good thing your mom had an extra!! Oh my goodness--that beach is just amazing!!!! I would LOVE to be there right now :thumbsup2

Oh no! I've come to the end and you're not done yet! I'm so surprised I caught up with you. I started reading this TR a few weeks ago, and just found it so wonderfully entertaining that I kept it up on my browser at all times so I could come back to it and pick it up where I left off. I thought surely I would come to the end and there would be no reason for me to comment because you'd probably never be back to see it - but I see you are still here and writing! Yay! Now get on to the next entry, I'm impatient!! Just kidding! But seriously, I am sooo loving your report. You are a great writer and I love the way you weave all the photos in to your story. This is so much fun , I really truly feel like I'm almost experiencing it myself - thank you for giving me such and awesome escape hatch from the real world!
