Ugh! I'm still in the funkiest of funks! We are supposed to close on Monday and it's just starting to feel really sketchy. I went home at lunch and packed up out dresser drawers. I wanted to cry my eyes out. I'm really going to miss our place. We've talked with two builders, but are waiting until we close to make a decision. On top of that Belle was sick last night, so I didn't get to sleep- probably explains my grouchiness.
Anyhow- to make myself feel better I ordered Belle two new outfits for our next possible Disney trip.![]()
I'm crossing my fingers everything goes smoothly for you on MondayI'm having a better day today. I heard from the closing people today. They said the plan is still for Monday. We have a big weekend of moving ahead of us!
Emma (AGPrincess) made these for my PTR-

Which one do you like better? Mouse or Fairy?

My vote is for Go Go !
Those are beautiful! My mom crochets but I think things that are knitted look much better! Crocheted things have too many holes in them for me.Sure, just find some yarn that you like, and PM me and I'll PM you my address. I thought about a lime green Mickey, but I'm not sure how it will look with the colors. I'll add pics below of what it looks like so far. I thought about embroidering it on by hand, but I haven't done that much of it. Since I can be a perfectionist, I don't know if I want to try and them mess up the entire scarf. I may just go and see if I can find one in a store and then just hand stitch it on, or maybe borrow one of my mom's sewing machines and do it that way.
Luckily, I come from a family with women that sew a lot. In fact my mom made all of my barbie clothes. She would even make me matching outfits with my barbies. She can see something in a store and go and make a pattern for it. Actually, we both used to sew professionally. She started working for the company first and then I worked for her. It was a company that made all African American dolls named Daddy's Long Legs, but the company is now out of business. Now that I have learned to knit, the only thing left I really want to learn (sewing wise) is tatting. I had a great grandmother that could do it, and I have some of the lace that she made.
Ok, so here are the pics of my current project:

My sister in law is my daughter's Godmother and she gave her a beautiful child's cross necklace for her baptism. It's silver and has one little "diamond" in the center. It's so delicate and I love it! It's definitely a keepsake. I pull it out for her to wear when I take her each year for her birthday pictures so I have pics of her wearing it at her baptism, age 1 and age 2 so far. She's also continued the jewelry tradition- for her first birthday she gave her a jewelry box and for her second birthday she gave her a cute little bracelet.Soleil, I think I'd go with Mickey! She is adorable!
Question...what would be a good gift for a baptism? My goddaughter is being baptized on July 5 and the only thing I came up with so far is to start a charm bracelet for her.
So how is everyone's summer so far?!?!
