HEY EVERYONE!

So sorry that I haven't been around much! We have had an unbelievable string of bad luck since the moment we returned from our trip! Seriously, we have had literally no time to even sit back and reflect on our wonderful trip! Things are starting to get better right now so hopefully we will be able to start our TR very soon! Anyways, I just wanted to pop in and say HI and let you all know that I miss y'all so much and think about you often! Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day!

Happy Saturday. Sorry I won't say "Valentine's Day" because basically, I don't like this day, never have. To me, it's just Feb. 14...nothing else.

I'm not big on V-day either. My kids are into it, but I don't do anything. I told my DH not to dare spending all that $$ on flowers or candy. I can go buy it 50% off tomorrow! I'm so cheap about stuff like that. I just don't like that the powers that be created this commercial nonsense to tell me when and how to say I love you. Plus my DH has to work tonight! We really haven't done anything big since we got married.
So I'm going to hang out with my girls, who have been playing at the neighbors for the last 5 hours! I think I'll bring them home for dinner!

DH has me planning a little to try to get a 3 day cruise on 11/19 with our bounceback offer and then going to WDW over Thanksgiving week. We're contemplating WL. I might have to get a 2nd job!! No more eating out for us!

Has any one stayed at Swan or Dolphin? Can you be on the DDP?

Nope, haven't stayed there yet! There are a couple of good threads on the resorts boards for them though. I have been looking into the Swan. No, you can't be on the DDP or use ME. But you can use Disney transportation and EMH's. . . I don't really understand all that, seems like you should either get it all or nothing. But that's the way it is. They run some good specials sometimes!

My favorite thing(s) I brought back were - scrapbooking supplies. Where I live in Canada we can get Disney supplies but I find them very limited so when I was in Disney I went a little crazy but that's ok because I have 500 pictures to scrapbook Now that I am thinking about it - I should have bought more

QOTD: My favorite souvenir just arrived yesterday from PhotoPass! I got my CD with all my pictures and my mug with our picture on it. I drank a hot cup of tea in it this morning. I wanted to buy a mug while we were there but believe it or not I forgot. I was so upset when we got home and remembered that I didn't buy one that I bought one off of Photopass. I'm glad it happened that way because now I have a very special mug with our family in front of the castle on it.

I'm off to do some of this... and a little cleaning- where's the smiley for that one?

Hi all!

I think I must be suffering from post-disney depression because I keep meaning to check in, but don't. There's no future trip planned! 8-0 I did think of Meghan when I heard about the plane and when I saw some message scroll by from her on facebook, I've got to say, I was totally relieved.

Oh Quick Question (I miss the QOTD by the way. We should reinstate those!)

QOTD (or a few days ago): I always by an ornament with the year. It's so much fun to look back at them and "remember when." This year, my DH picked out a regular ornament and had them add the date to it... which was cool, because he's usually "yeah, yeah, whatever, sure thing" when it comes to the ornaments.

My Friday the 13th was a pretty fun day! A friend who owes me a large sum of money got a check to me for part of it (to be honest, we'd kind of figured we wouldn't see the money again and... we were mostly okay with that). I found out that MY FAVORITE BAND IN THE WHOLE WORLD (see: my last.fm account) is touring the US this summer (CAN WE SAY ROAD TRIP?!?!), AND!!! My shiny new toy arrived: a new netbook - which is one of those mini-laptops. It's so cute! It's so light! It's so portable!!!

We don't do much for Valentine's, either. I'm the grinch in the household - DH would like to do more buuuuuutttttt... as I'm always in need of weight loss, I don't need the candy, and the flowers are always so pricey. Instead, we went out on Thursday (which was exactly 6 months to the day after our wedding anniversary) and had a nice quiet dinner, just the two of us. It was pretty cool.

My Mom and Aunt just left to head back to Buffalo... had a nice weekend. Yesterday was my 23rd Anniversary.. as well as Valentines Day. I made us a wonderful meal... couldn't get me close to any dining establishment...

Hi all! I know no one remembers me, I posted a while ago about my spur of the moment trip in January with my new husband. We had a great time, went to all the parks and LOVED the AKL! I was worried that he'd be a little too cynical to enjoy it, but by the end, he was getting all excited about seeing a character! Now my dream is to return with all my kids, which would be quite expensive since their all grown now. Oh, well, I can dream!

About the previous QOTD-I bought a really prettycollage picture frame-now I just have to select the photos for it.

Also, I'm on Facebook, my daughter made a page for me against my woshes, but now I have so much fun with it and have reconnected with family and friends. I'll have to try to find the Snowbirds group.

Good afternoon, all! Did anyone try to get on last night? It was sooooooo sllllooooooowwwwww........drove me nutso!

Have the day off thanks to Pres Day. Home alone with the 6 yr old who had the vomits yesterday. Feeling great today, you'd never know it except for all the laundry still piling up downstairs from soiled towels, bedsheets, my shower curtain, I think we even threw away a large pillow that wouldn't have fit in the washer. ICK! So much for our lazy day off yesterday. Today been fighting with Turbo TAx to finish up our taxes. I was in tears earlier because it kept finding an error and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I even tried calling the IRS who, thanks to Pres day, is CLOSED!! I finally just deleted the whole portion of that entry then started it over and IT WORKED! whew! I was ready to pack up everything and make a CPA appt!

OK, guys, I need advice, and I know I can count on you!

1) I've booked bounceback at 30% for September (solo trip). I only booked September because that's the end of the bounceback period.

My birthday's in December (as some of you may remember ) and I'd really like to go then (also a solo trip). I might be able to get my 20% AAA discount. So the difference is 10%.

WWYD?

2) I've been thinking about driving from New England to WDW. I drive a Prius, so mileage isn't that much of an issue. I want to get some books on DVD and listen to them; I just got a Garmin. It's about 20 hours, according to AAA.

Has anyone done that? Am I nuts? OK, let me rephrase - am I nuts for wanting to do this (we all know that I'm nuts on other grounds!

Hey there! I had today off too - as did DH and the kids. It was actually a really LONG day - not much to do. Sometimes that can be a problem, since the kids decide to whine and fight more!
We did our TurboTax yesterday - such fun. At least we're getting $ back from Fed. Have to pay a bit to state. Just like last year!

It's so quiet around here - we've been on the same page for a whole day!! I've been checking out some TRs and resort photos. We're really excited to try WL or Poly. WL is a bit more affordable, but not by much. It'll depend on how long we stay. My dream is to someday stay at all the Deluxe resorts!! I better live a good long time!
