HEY SNOW BIRD FRIENDS!

I just wanted to pop in quickly and say bye for now! We are furiously packing away and getting everything ready for our departure tomorrow! What a long list of us heading down this week! I will be on the lookout for as many of you as I can! I wish everybody a safe, warm and wonderful vacation! Thanks for all the great times! I will definitely be checking in when we get home! My DH and I are already planning out our "HE SAID, SHE SAID" TR! Should be a hoot!

How exciting! I'll look for you at the WL - we arrive the 22nd (just look for the stressed out mom with 4 yo twins!) and we're eating at Biergarten on the 24th, too (our ADR is for 1:00, though).

Welcome back, WE'VE MISSED YOU! I know exactly how you feel about your hubby! I know exactly how much needs to be done in the next 6 days (not only Disney stuff, but we have to pay sales tax on my car, get DH's car inspected and licensed and his drivers license expires while we're on vaca, and we STILL haven't taken down the outside Christmas decor). Do you think he has any plans for any of this??? UGH!!!

It looks like our DHs are similar. You have much on your plate too with real life and Disney. I know we will all have it come together even if it is right at the end.

We have one evening all to ourselves since his mom is coming for 2 days to be with us. She offered to babysit one night. I was going to plan it all out just like the rest of our vacation but then I told DH that it was all up to him. He gave me a shocked look but I think he should be able to handle one adult night. I told him where to find the park hours and other info. I can't wait to be surprised at what we do. I don't know what it is going to be (I think he is going to be doing this by the seat of his pants) but we will make the most out of it. It will be weird not to have the children but they are in excellent hands. His mom has already planned out their evening.

I cannot wait to go! We leave on the 21st to take the long drive down. I just want to thaw out in the warm sun. I do like how the weather seems to be getting better the closer we come to our arrival date. Thank you Momma Snowbird for keeping us up to date on that.

Good afternoon everyone. Hope all are warm and well.
I'm just finishing up with laundry and now getting myself ready for the day. I have to work tonight at 5 and I should have a "slow" week of work, so I might actually be able to do a full-blown Trip Report cool1: ).

Here's a peak. This picture was taken on Jan. 7 at about 5pm.

pamouselover: I love the pictures of the castle from that angle! It makes it seem more "majestic" to me.

This is another great photo of the castle. Excellent job!

I can only hope my photos turn out this well. I love seeing all the different photos. I also like the different times of day that they are taken. I cannot wait to see the castle all lit up.

Thank you to all that post photos too. It makes the last few days go by even quicker to see what we get to experience soon.

Hi all!

We're back - our flight landed early today and we made it home, despite the weather.

So while it was cool in WDW, especially yesterday, it was miserably cold here in Michigan... glad I was south! DH and I are thinking we might become snowbirds somewhere- anywhere!- every winter!

Short wrap-up:
DH ran this marathon 14 minutes faster than his last one. Can you imagine?

Unfortunately, he missed qualifying for the Boston marathon by (get this!) NINETY FOUR SECONDS. But did I mention the 14 minute improvement?

The parks were WAY WAY more crowded than the same week in 2005.

We were on the DDP - it was a lot of food. The lowlight was Rose & Crown - overrated!, followed by the breakfast platters at any QS location. Spoodles was aiming for rock bottom, but we spoke to the manager and got moved/better waiter, and it was a much better meal. I really enjoyed Boma and Crystal Palace.

The weather was cooler than we'd like BUT it was so much warmer than home.

I never did manage to see Kayte - I think time just got away from me.

I'll have a much longer write-up at some point!

It's funny how fast the time goes...

...it was, like, 55 with sun yesterday? So chilly, by FL standards, but when schools were cancelled here in Ann Arbor due to the temperatures, I just put on my hat and kept going.

We landed right as the snow started to fall this morning. Talk about a harsh re-entry in to reality!

How long is your drive? We're driving from StLouis (UGH!) and it supposedly somewhere between 16 and 20 hours, depending upon which map guide I use and how many times/how long we stop. We're leaving on the 23rd and arriving the 24th.

I am sooooo on Cloud 9, all done at work.....did the last minute Walmart shopping. Folding laundry.....Making a packing list. wow first we did beat the weather out. Better yet Chuck called POP while we were driving & they changed our reservations to Fri till Thu. Awesome got to check in Fri night.

Sat DHS YOU HAVE GOT TO DO TOY STORY MANIA!!! Ride it fastpass it but it is awesome!!!

Epcot The KIM POSSIBLE tour is awesome!! Go to a KP terminal & get your mission!! They are fantastic!! We did all 7 in one day. We saw just as many "grownups" doing them as kids.

Crowds sat & sun kinda busy for Jan but it was a weekend. Mon- Wed awesome no waits multiple rides great times. Thu insanely crowded for Jan. We ended up only doing a few rides & leaving early. But it turned out to be a good thing. Drive back frigid & roads closed due to black ice!!
