January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part V

OMG....that is SOOOOO freaky!!!!

DH and I thought it strange that we NEVER saw any of our neighbors ~ we must have all been on different schedules. I KNEW I should have put a LGMH in my window! Did you see the window right around the corner from you? Both parents were marathoners ~ the sign said "Go Mommy, Beat Daddy! " That was cute.

Your dh ran too, right? How'd he do? Mine did fine, actually ended up running it faster than he'd planned ~ 3:47 I think. We are terrible ~ we did not end up spectating AT ALL.....we went to the MK instead. :-) He joined us in plenty of time for CRT!

Oh, and we never heard a thing thru the walls.......you probably heard us "encouraging" the girls to HURRY UP a lot ~ they are both huge slowpokes!!

Yes, I did see the signs for the family that had both parents running. That made me smile!

So far as I know, we didn't hear you guys, either. There was some family that generally had a screaming young child nearby. Never screamed for too too long, though. And we were definitely slow starts every day. We're getting old! ;) We probably made it out of our room between 8 and 8:30 each day.

We did see our 2846 neighbors only once. We probably only walked by your door about twice, so that didn't help. Probably wouldn't have helped if you'd had up a LGMH, though it would have if *I* had. I did carry one around for a few days but we saw NONE.

Who knew that one was RIGHT NEXT DOOR all week, sharing the TV wall with us!!

My DH managed to run a 3:17.54 for his marathon, which was 14 minutes faster than his last! We saw him at mile 9 (TTC), mile 12.5 (Polynesian), and the finish area. The start line/mile 4 was a nightmare to even deal with, so we didn't. People were super-rude, so it was probably better that you and the girls went off and had fun!

(I'm not getting any sympathy here at work from dealing with the cool weather there, let me tell you!)

AUGHHH! One day, one day, one day on my ticker! See? How cool is that???

Have fun!!!

thanks for all your prayers... you guys are the best...

We have something packed.... the golf clubs.... yes as far as the men in my life are concerned that is the most important thing.... clothes... who needs them... toothbrush... for what.....:confused3

Three days for me and I haven't started packing AT ALL! Can't even blame DH - although he won't pack until the night before we go.

Part of me is scared to even start. My kids will just unpack what I pack. Last night my son took his airplane carryon (a backpack) and filled it with Wii games. nice.
:rotfl:

I'm planning on being there!!

Relax? :)

I'm off today!! Only 3 1/2 work days left...these are going to be the longest, most worthless days! I'm sure I'll get nothing accomplished and my coworkers will be glad to be rid of me so I'll stop talking Disney!

I finally got DH to get some stuff done. He informed me that yes, his packing was all done in his head, he knew exactly what he was wearing to which park. So he got some things out for me to pack and told me what else he needed washed...FINALLY!! And he started working on our tshirts! He printed the boys' pressed penny wraps and made some color changes to some of the designs I'd picked (I didn't want all of our t's to be black, white and red-We don't have that many bottoms to match, I needed something to match blue :rotfl: ). So he started printing and left me instructions...we'll see how that goes!!:confused3 I better buy some extra transfers when I go to walmart today!!

Have a great day birdies, and for those of you getting ready to go...:cool1: :cheer2:  :yay: :woohoo: :wave2:

Morning Birdies to those that had losses this weekend my heartfelt sympathies.

To those leaving have a great time. Yes do the Kim Possible missions. The kiosks with the booths are at the bridge going into Canada still in Future World, by the UK, Italy, Sweden for sure. Those are the ones we hit. The missions are the same but they change the order that they go in with each Kimmunicator. Also raise a glass to Senor Senior Senior ( Ricardo Montalban) who passed away this weekend.

Shelly~cleaned the fridge out and take out trash.......?
I always wash the sheets the day before we leave, so they are pretty fresh when we come home!! Stick a dryer sheet in there too, after you put them back on!!

And yeah, good luck on sleeping tonight!!!

Oh, do you have your mail stopped or is someone picking it up for you?

Hi all! I can't believe that the next few days so many of us will be gone!! I however, do not leave home until NEXT MONDAY!! The agony!

I have to work Tu- Th Big time! I have so much to get done since I missed last Thurs to stay home with the kids. So yesterday and today we're packing everything we can pack ahead of time. I've got to call get the dog in for grooming before he goes to Grandma's, get my mani/pedi appt, do yet MORE :laundy: ...
Off to Target today to get HOPEFULLY the last few necessities and then I have to take DD7 to Grandma's neighborhood to sell GS Cookies. We are missing two of the three selling weeks due to vacation, so we're going crazy this week. Of course this is the year she sets a goal of 225 boxes!! Last year we missed one week and she sold over 150, so it could happen.

:drive: Safe travels to all leaving tomorrow - is anyone checking in during their trip?
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: for ONE DAY!!! Wish it was me! - No on second thought, I'd be majorly panicked!!

Good morning! I'm so excited for those of you leaving tomorrow! I'm 5 days away and this surprise is ready to jump out of me!!! I just can't wait to see my DD's reaction. I will most likely cry. Whenever I see anything Disney on tv (commercials, Extreme Makeover:Home Edition) it brings me to tears. I still can't believe that we're actually going THIS Saturday!!!!

What a great tip - and thanks, Trixie, for posting that link with more information. The guys are planning to do the Epcot segway tour on Monday morning and this might be a fun thing for us girls to do while we're waiting for them.

One of our folks missed church yesterday because he's sick -- he's off work today so hopefully this will be enough time for him to get better.

This is our week!!! Woo - hoo!!

:rotfl: I think the same thing, except about my dogs...only my dogs will unpack then chew up what they've unpacked...bad doggies

Yay - I'm glad you're feeling better :cheer2: :cheer2:

ME!!! ME!!!!

I finished my LGMH yesterday (while DH is laughing at me because I put my screen name on them - HELLO? How else will they know me!?! :rotfl2: ). WHOOHOO!! Of course, the LGMH comes pretty close to matching our backpack, so if you see someone sporting a light green backpack - it's me!!

3-1/2 days of work left (counting today). My co-workers are ready to hurt me. I just keep saying 4 days...4 days...4 days... Bring on the warm weather!!!!

YAY ~ We are going to have such a good time at the CBR Meet!! :cool1: Just a reminder ~ it is open to everyone, not just the Snowbirds staying at CBR! The more the merrier!! :goodvibes

I'm sad I won't be at the CBR meet - I'm not there until Monday - but I'll be looking out for LGMHs and faces that I might recognize!!
I know Shelly and MelXthree are there for one more day and
Wendy and at least two others are there during my week.

Hope to see you!!
