She is still at home. G has her today and I'm a nervous wreck about it. He is not very good at multi-tasking and B is the queen toddler of doing way to many things at once. She's running fever and has cold symptoms.

I'm going to get my eyes checked today! I can't wait to get a new pair of glasses. I cannot see at night anymore!

I hope she's feeling better soon.

Hello my snowfriends!!!:goodvibes Well, I am so tired! I was more excited about last night than I thought I would be!!! It just drained me:lmao:

I have school today-of course, and will probably get out my little grocery list and see what I need for T-day! I hate waiting till stuff is picked over and the stores are packed.SO-----did any of you see the View. I was sent a clip of it , but refuse to watch it. Joy whats-her-face, said that "Homeschoolers (the kids) are demented." I of course, dont want to watch it-but just wondered if any of you saw that to verify that she said it.

On to a happier note--we only have 4 1/2 days of :teacher: left!!! :woohoo: We are soooo ready for our break!! What do ya'lls public schools do for T-day? This ps used to give the kids a whole week-now they just get out Th and Fri--I think Wed might be early release? We NEVER got a whole week for T-day:sad2: just the Th and Fri- I would rather have my days off at Christmas anyway.

Do we have a QOTD?

Jen,

Were your ears burning this am? I immediately thought of you about 750 am. My DD told me she has to sing an entire line of a song in the Christmas program & its.............. I Want a Hippopotomus For Christmas!! I bust out laughing. SHe rolled her eyes & shook her head & said to my mother "its a Dis board thing Nonnie".:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Had the best night. Kids brought up Lion King 1 1.5 & we did the hidden Mickey game while we watched it. We got 9 outta 20. DD said we were in training for Disney. DS asked to do our own hidden MIckeys here. So later today I'm gonna make some Mickey heads & hide them around the house.:mickeyjum

:rotfl: That is so awesome!! Wish her good luck for me and tell her its a great song...she'll love it LOL!!!:rotfl:

Bella~ You will probably be making many phone calls home today! Ha!!! Hope your eye exam goes well! I wore glasses from 6th grade on--at 27 I had LASIK and it was the best thing ever!!!! My eye sight was not the kind you could kinda get by without glasses/contacts--so it was very liberating for me!!! I was so thankful dh let me do it!!! We were sooooooo broke at the time and they offered a payment plan-we were thrilled!!! It really was one of the nicest gifts I ever received!:cutie:

Ahh..Wendy don't let what's her name on the View deter you. You are doing what you feel is best for your children and you stick by that.

Thankfully I get Wednesday off, but that is dedicated to making Christmas cards LOL!! As far a T-day I got all my things except for rolls...I'm going to go by Wal-Mart tomorrow at some point and get rolls for our Church dinner on Monday night and I already have my fruit salad so I'm all set. I also need more butter and popcorn..its time to start making caramel popcorn and my candied sweet potatoes....hmmmm I'm getting really hungry!

No I didn't see the View. I don't watch much TV during the day. I can't believe she said that though. :sad2:

My kids get early dismissal next Wednesday, and are off Thursday, Friday, and Monday for Thanksgiving break. DH has the same days off, but he will be hunting on that Monday - the first day of buck season.

Good Morning! Extra cold up here today! -20 C with the windchill factor! Got the girls up and told them to dress warm! DD5 just came down with a rather layered look! She is wearing 4 shirts, 5pairs of pants and 7 pairs of socks! She looks like a little marshmallow! :rotfl: I took a pic that I will try to post later! Gotta go walk DD7 to school! Think warm thoughts for me! :cold:
:rotfl: :rotfl2:  LOL!!

If you had to only choose one of the Animal Kingdom shows would you rather seen Nemo or the FOTLK...I haven't seen either yet and I'm wondering which one I would enjoy more!!
I have not seen Nemo, but Lion King is cool - lots of fun!

That sounds fun! I didn't even realize that there were hidden Mickeys in the movie! I know, take away my membership card! Shame on me!

Didn't see the view - they bug me too much to watch, so I'm glad I'm working! My kids get W - F off for T-giving in public schools here. I get Th and Fri paid holidays! Yippee. DH works for the postal service, so he has to work Fri.
Glad you enjoyed the Nutcracker so much - I think it's awesome! What a sweet gift for you!

Could we possibly do a post of Snowbirds Pre-Trip Reports? I know quite a few of us are writing them. I would like to read them all.:goodvibes

Hope all snowbirds are keeping their feathers warm.

So I wake up to discover now that AirTran is charging for their first bags. $15.00. I went to the website and it says that it will take effect for flights booked at Nov. 12 and go into effect Dec. 5.

What are these airlines trying to do. I understand that everyone has this huge money issue, but I think it's getting to be cheaper to actually drive everywhere. Ugh. Ok so maybe I'm a little crabby this morning. But seriously, this airline thing has just gone above and beyond ticking me off, and it doesn't apply to me since we booked in Sept. sometime.

Oh well. Hope everyone has a good day.:wizard:
To do it after you book a flight with them is what pisses me off.
I want with airtran for the reason they weren’t charging.
I hope they don’t charge for my dates, or I will be bringing it all on board. I am already upset that my flight is now $210. dollars cheaper then I paid through WDW.

Is there really that much problem getting in to see the Nemo Musical that you would need to reserve a lunch to guarantee a seat??? We haven't seen it yet, so I don't know. I just didn't realize that it would be that hard to see it if we wanted to. . . :confused3
It wasnt in Aug. 07. We lined up about 15 mins. before the show. The line was all very long, but they filled eveyone is really fast. I am not to thrilled with the show, and I love Nemo. Little ones like it a lot. Look there is nemo!

First Checked Bag
Effective December 5, 2008, for all reservations booked on or after November 12, 2008, the charge for the first checked bag will be $15. For reservations booked prior to this date, for each fare-paying customer, AirTran Airways will allow one (1) checked bag free of charge, with size and weight limitations (see baggage allowance details below).

When I booked with WDW, I had to pay the air fare at the time of booking, so that means that I had reservations before this date, am I correct?
I hope it was not when the trip was paid in full. Should I call?

I would think you would be okay, but I would probably call anyway just to be safe.

Let me know how it works. I want to pre-order. Do they charge you prior to going or after?

Did you get an offer for the resort photo shoot?:surfweb:
I just ordered it yesterday. It was $99.95- I'm going as part of a Grand Gathering and thank goodness we are splitting this between all 3 of our families! I put it on my Disney Visa to get the points and my card hasn't been charged as of yet but I didn't order it til late afternoon yesterday. I didn't get any offers for a photo shoot- how do they work and how much do they usually cost? On second thought don't answer that- it'll just make me spend more $$$ that I don't have!
but jeeze...when does everyone find time to dis so much:rolleyes1 ?
I tend to keep my computer on and check in throughout the day so sometimes it says I'm on but I'm really not:surfweb:

We are doing the CS plan too. Same reasons. We just don't eat a lot of sit down meals and don't want to deal with tips. It's nice to have no pressure to be anywhere at a particular time. Especially now that we extended our trip a few days, we don't really have much of a schedule planned! The first few days, we don't even know which parks we're going to! I know, Crazy! I still have to check park hours and such.

I was just reading a post on another site about the new dining plan. I have the CS plan booked..but I didn't realize that it was only a few dollars less than the TS plan.:scared1: I am NOT telling DH this. I just think that the CS plan is a better fit for us this trip. No ADR's to plan, no hour long lunch/dinners AND no tips to pay OOP...but the meals are all prepaid. I think that's why I still feel unorganized from other trips. I need to pick out the night we are going to La Nouba..?
I booked the CS plan too although I made a few ADR's I'll pay for them OOP. The regular DDP left me with too many uncovered meals and I didn't want to eat cereal bars in my room or have to make anymore ADR's. I like not having too much of a set schedule.
Oh for pete's sake! As if there aren't enough charges!
Yeah really!:scared1:
Good morning Snowbirds! :goodvibes

 :cool1: 2 Months from right now I will be on my way to CBR and WDW!! :cool1:
Woo Hoo! I'm right behind you!!!! Time to Party!
party: :jumping1: :goofy: :tigger: :tinker: :mickeyjum
The women would flock the place!
You know we would all be first in line!:lmao:

Good luck with the glasses! I hope Belle is feeling better soon. We've got the germs here too- my kids are lounging watching Wall-E. The only good part about not feeling well is that they are a little more relaxed and a lot more cuddly!:rolleyes1

Haven't done Nemo, but FOTLK is amazing! I'm a big theater fan (saw LK on Broadway twice), and I was blown away by the dance, the costuming, the puppetry at AK. I am determined to see Nemo this time (it wasn't there yet last time we went)!

I can do it, Shelly. I don't mind. I just need everyone to send me the link their report.

You can all PM me. :goodvibes

That's a great idea! I keep forgetting to see who has one and to keep up but I LOVE reading everyone's PTR's!!!! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: :rotfl2:  LOL!!

It is listed under bonus features click on it & a lime green mickey I kid you not shows up saying that there will be a hidden mickey coming up then you have to hit enter when you find it it keeps track of your score. They also have a cool virtual game w Timon & Pumba that's a take off on the rides they even do EE! DS caught on that it was EE. Also saw IASW, and others very fun.
