Ok, I need some major pixie dust thrown my way. You know what; how about just throw it on me. Last night we want out to dinner and came home to watch the EAGLES game on DVR. Around 10pm we hear this loud noise that came from outside. DS basketball hoop fell on top of my car. The wind here was unreal. Very strong. We did not hear it down stairs in the house, and it was not like that when we came home from dinner. So I left work early today to get a price on how much it would cost to fix it. $655.95 :scared1:
DH was already upset enough about the car and NOW....
I get home and go to let the dogs out, and my one dog nailed her way through the dry wall in the laundry room to the computer room. I just got done cleaning up all the mess from it. We know have a huge hole in the wall. Not a very magical day for me.

:thumbsup2 :woohoo: :rotfl2: FUNNY!
ok you lurker we know you are here show your face.

What a yucky day for you...I hope today is a little better!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Thanks for helping me to annoy her into coming out of hiding! I'm her little sister so it's my job. She's not very computer savvy but she's learning. She's working on going from looking like this :badpc: to this :surfweb: :lmao:
She's said hello once before but that was back on part II or III so it's DUE TIME for her to jump in and say hello again! Perhaps as our trip gets closer she'll catch the excitement and chime in. :wizard:

Here is some good info on the virus/stomach bug going around at WDW.

Thanks for the info Shelly...I think! I don't like to think of Disney being a place we can get sick.
We will have spent the day at Epcot......Right now we wold be leaving the Candle Light Processional (after dining at Le Cellier) and getting ready to do some EMH:cool1:
3 more days til CHRISTMAS.....and 4 more nighty nights til we are Florida bound !!!!!!:hourglass party: party:
Wow you are close! Be sure to come back and share how you trip went! :woohoo:
Good Evening Snowbirds.

First some pixie dust for all those that are in need of it. pixiedust: I hope all goes well for everyone.:flower3:

I work in a grocery store and it was slammed today. They were lined up all the way to the back of the store (and it is a pretty big store) at times. I don't think the upcoming snow storms are helping the situation. I work in the Pharmacy and it was steady today for us. I cannot believe all the people who leave their medications until the last possible moment to order then expect them quickly. Especially the real snow birds who leave for up to 6 months and expect us to have it all in stock!!:rolleyes2 Anyway, the others who leave it until they are out, and are going on vacation, expect us to refill it for them even if there are no refills.:headache: In our city about half the doctors (we are under serviced for doctors) go on vacation at this time and it makes it quite difficult for these last minute people. I cannot believe when you must take this medication daily that you don't realize until you are out that they order then. Most drug plans pay for one week out or more and that way if you give time, they will have it in stock or contact the doctor for refills and you can go pick it up without waiting. Sorry for raving, I will step off my soap box now. It is really difficult to keep customers happy when there is little you can do and it truly isn't your fault.

I have had to add one ADR. My MIL is now coming for one night and I think we convinced her to stay at the POP with us. :goodvibes She has always wanted to try Spoodles so we are going there for her (not like we didn't want to go but it wasn't on our list this time). I phoned on Sunday for the ADR and asked about the other restaurants that were not yet on the list. She stated they updated the list on Saturday. I looked again but didn't see the Yak and Yeti so I don't know how much was update or if none was updated. http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...especific/eng/nontheme/tickets/2009Dining.pdf

Please wish me luck tomorrow with the crowds and customers and the snowstorm that is to dump over a foot of snow. I truly believe it can stop snowing now. It is pretty with all the Christmas lights on but this is becoming a bit too much.

Remmy
How frustrating! Hope those grumpy Snowbirds aren't heading to Disney! Here's some pixie dust for a bepixiedust: tter day today!

My ticker is at 1 month too!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!

Who's up for a "Snowy Day My Ticker Is Finally At ONE Month" party with me?
...oh wait I don't have any snow. Could you sweet Snowbirdies up north of me quit hogging all the snow and send some down to me. All I got is ice and some very cold rain.
Well I'll still party about my ticker just without the snow I guess. :sad2:

Good morning! I'm off to my DD's school today for her concert and party. She is so excited to have school today! She hasn't been since last Wednesday due to being sick and then 2 snow days. I'll be back later!

Take mine please!! Now, in addition to the foot of snow, there is a sheet of ice on the driveway and sidewalks, the streets are still a mess, and it is so cold it is not funny.

On the postive side, today is the last day of school until January 5th, but luckily, we didn't lose any days due to the storms. We got out early on Friday and came in late yesterday, but they still count as full days. So, not going to have to stay longer in June, which with high school kids - is a LONG month anyway. DD and I hope to get out later today to finish the shopping before we get more snow/sleet tonight! But then it is due to warm up to the 40's by Christmas day, so maybe some of this snow and ice will go away.

I have worked many a Christmas season in retail and it was for a drugstore chain. :wizard: a little bit of magic and :grouphug: some support as you survive the next few days!

We have More Weather en route. It's snowing lightly at the moment, but it's supposed to snow much worse this afternoon. The boss has already indicated that she expects us to leave at 4 (instead of 5) at the absolute latest... but I'm too keep tabs on the weather and report back to her. Funny, I think that's the only thing I have to do today!

Anyway, I'm prepared. We have the food we need and if I take the bus to and from work tomorrow, oh well, who cares, so it goes! It's not like ANYTHING is going to be going on, on campus, on Christmas Eve! (...which is why, if I'm not traveling, I tend to be at work.)

17 days!!

I'd be happy to share mine, too! It's getting a bit ridiculous, and it's supposed to be horrible again today through tomorrow night. I'm so sick of Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Watches and Winter Storm Warnings and Blizzard Warnings...will it ever end?

I can't wait for Florida!

Today is bright and sunny, if cold, around here. Lots of icy spots, too - makes it a challenge to walk around. Tomorrow, though - rain & sleet predicted - YUCKKKK!!!

About the stomach bug - anybody know if alcohol-based sanitizers do anything? Bath & Bodyworks sanitizing gel is 60% alcohol. I know the alcohol free stuff is worthless against the virus, and the bleach-based stuff is best, but how does alcohol play out?

Off to do some research! :surfweb:

That is nice she gets to go back and enjoy her party. I miss school parties, and making cupcakes. Middle school is no fun, though DD team is having a breakfast part today and watching ELF. But the teachers did not need any parent help. I miss helping.

Good Morning Snowbirds!!

I hope all of you get some relief from all the snow and winter you are getting...just think most of our snowbirds will be in Disney soon YAY!!!!!

Today I finish wrapping presents and get some cleaning done. I want to get all my laundry caught today LOL!!!

Hope you all have a great day

Thanks for the weather reports Soleil!!

I just wanted to say thanks to Soleil for the weather reports - it's fun to "count down" with the weather. Plus, even if it says rain, our report will always have the "sun" :sunny: (that's what soleil means in French, for those who may have taken Spanish in school :lmao: )

So "Merci":worship:

So sorry about all the weather-related troubles out there. Today I had a team holiday lunch, and three of us went in my car. The back doors were frozen shut with ice from the ice storm yesterday, so one of my co-workers climbed over the seat and took it upon herself to strong-arm the door open from the inside (without asking me). So, it opened, but then wouldn't close!!:scared1:

We finally got the lock to hold it closed, but not tight. The air was coming in the whole way home and it was COLD :cold:

I'm thinking of getting a new/used car and this may have clinched it. This one is pretty old so I don't know if it is worth it to fix it.

We are freezing in PA!!!!

Oh I forgot to comment on the weather report.
Brilliant Sunshine is exactly what I would expect on my first day at the World and the day I meet Soleil!

Thanks to everyone for the sweet messages. I really enjoy orgainizing list for you guys. :goodvibes Something that our sweet MamaBird and I have in common.

Okay, so I have to share a funny /yet disgusting story with you all.

Each night, after dinner Belle has to go and look out the window at the "Mooooon". On the way last night, she found a little suprise from Lulu our dog (who apparently didn't want to brave the cold and thought she would be sneaky by doing her business on our brown rug). I happened to pass by at that point and Belle was sitting on the rug-hands out, feet in the air- screaming "Mama! Poo Poo! Yu-Yu, Poo Poo, Mama!" She was horrified! I yelled for G to come and help and he picked her up off of the ground. By this time she is hysterical and is in the same postition (Hands out, feet out... almost looks like she is trying to ride a motorcycle.) We cleaned her off and then gave her a bath. All night long she asked to have her feet washed, this has continued into today. My child is truly traumatized!

And Florida is so delightful...

TOO FUNNY!! :rotfl: The poor baby. My dog had issues over the weekend going poop in the house! Luckily, no one stepped in it.
You know, at my parents' Armenian church, they have some special ceremony about washing the feet or something (I know I sound horribly uneducated!). So just consider it biblical! At least she'll have clean feet!

So yesterday I got out of work early, went to Target to buy the "last few things". HA! Got home and my parents had stopped by to drop off some stuff before Thursday. Dad corners me in the garage as I'm unloading bag after bag and says, "what did you get your mother for Christmas?" I tell him and he then says, "I got her a book. what else did she want?" I tell him she mentioned flannel p.j.s. Next line, "would you mind getting them for me? I'll pay you." I say, Gee dad, I just FINISHED MY shopping!!
Then I ask - I suppose you want me to wrap them too?
He just smiles.
So last night, I did ALL my wrapping. I'm done. And today, I get to go shopping on my lunch hour. Yup, I'm the full time worker with two kids and hosting Christmas. He's the retired 75 year old with NOTHING to do. Hmmm...Yeah, I should do your shopping. :rolleyes1
Oh well, as it turns out, I need about three things from the grocery store. I'm hoping they have them at Target, so I can get it all in one trip.
I'm also going to race to the P.O. since I got my friend's package all boxed up. It still won't get there until after Christmas, but it will be out of my house.

I think my lunch hour might be a little long today!

Awwww, poor Belle!! That really is a cute story though!!!

Do you keep washing her feet when she asks? Heehee! Aww!

No, we just show her that there is no poop and tell her that her feet are clean. Poor little girl!

Well, I can't quite party with you - but I'd be happy to send some snow. We got a couple more inches last night! At least it's above zero this morning!

My poor dog weighs 4 pounds and is skin and bones. I don't blame her for not wanting to go out into the 20 degree weather (with sleet). :dog:
