Egg nog latte sounds so yummy!! I wish I could order coffee from you...or my all time favorite chai tea...that stuff warms my soul LOL!!

HHMM well I guess you could order but it wouldn't be very hot by the time you get it. LOL No I do ship beans what is the brand you like of Chai? Have you tried a Chaider yet? That chai tea & apple cider instead of milk. Big college crowd drink. Personally I think it needs some schnapps or something.:drinking1

I would love to meet up!! We'll have to work something out! 2disneygirls is also going to be there at the same time! :)

(and I do the "anyone... anyone...?" all the time)

I think I did write it down in my book that 2disneygirls was there the same times & I think at ASMo?

I'm thinking maybe a poolside adult beverage meet is in order

Well I probably won't be around much this afternoon. So I just wanted to say Good Luck to Sarah and Kayte tomorrow. The Snowbirds will keep you lifted up in prayer. Check in when you can. Get lots of rest for a speedy recovery! :goodvibes

I was thinking that since all this code business is over that it's getting to be time to start thinking about some Snowbird Meets! :cool1: I'm not sure what all everyone has talked about or planned for the beginning of the month, but I know that there has been a lot of talk and PM's about some meets later in the month. . . Right now we are looking at possibly meeting for the 3:00 parade at DHS on Jan 22nd. . . And possibly sometime in the afternoon at DTD on the 25th. . . There was some talk about a CBR meet. . . And an All Star meet. . . Nothing is set in stone yet. . . If there are anymore meets being set up please let me know and I will get a list going. It would be nice if we had at least one for every week in January so that everyone has a chance to go to one if they want to. And if you don't feel comfortable going to one that's totally understandable too. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate or time consuming (I know we all have schedules we like to keep :) ), just enough time to stop and say hello and maybe take a few pictures.

Please give me your thoughts and I will get to work on that tomorrow! :goodvibes

Wishing the best for sarbah and coffeehousemom - hope all goes well for both of you!

QOTD:
I'm torn - France would be wonderful for a while, but I don't think I could survive on all that rich food! And I know I couldn't survive without a dose of Chinese food at least once a month - so I guess China it is!

I've noticed that, even if you have a larger workload, the loss of a troublesome co-worker is such a relief that even the workload isn't as bad. Crazy how one bad apple can spoil the barrel...

I agree with debbieandroo. I know it's kinda icky to be short a coworker and the overtime can be long BUT... for me, when a coworker like that is gone, life gets much easier and less stressful. (I once had a coworker quit the day before they were going to fire her and we were all so relieved that another coworker helped her carry stuff to her car... and despite having much more work to do it was much easier to not have her around!!)

As for the recession, my FIL has been doing his doom and gloom dance for a few months now. There might be some truth to it, so we're just being careful but not going into handwringing mode like a lot of people are. Of course, we're in Michigan, so we've been in a recession for quite awhile.

Remmy.....:grouphug: hoping you have a better day today!!!

Thank you for all of your support. I think you are correct, it is easier to work without a negative person.

I am so thankful that we have each other and we are all really friendly.:grouphug:

Thank you
Remmy:)

Remmy -
I hope your work situation gets better now! Have a better day!

Good day snowbirds. :cutie:

That is good news in the long run. Least you won’t have that type of negative around you. I like my job just wish I had more hours. They vary too much. I might have to start looking for a full time job after the New Year. DH had a meeting yesterday at work, and he was told that they would not be getting raises this year. They said they have no lay offs in plan, but the company is not making any money. He works as facilities manager for a company that makes bathroom storage and organizational products for the retail market. Linens N Things were one of their clients, they are all closed down, and now they were informed that National Wholesale Liquidators are closing their doors.

Good Morning my Snowbirds!!!!:goodvibes

Remmy- I think you will be much happier without her there!! If you pay off your package with a credit card and then a deal comes out they will credit it back to you. Just call and ask-but I think they will.

Thank you all again for all the support you have given me. I feel quite loved.:lovestruc

We seem to be a very supportive group for everyone to share their thoughts and ideas and not to be judged.

Thank you very much,
Remmy

To Sarah and Kayte,

I do wish both of you well tomorrow and speedy recoveries. You will be in my prayers.

Welcome to all Snowbirds who have rejoined or just joined. :flower3:

For all Snowbirds,

My best wishes for everyone today. I do hope all is well. :goodvibes

Same here!! Sarah and Kayte!! I will begin my morning with prayers for both of you!!! I wish you both speedy recoveries and just know we are thinking about you here!!

Sarah and Kayte, hope tomorrow goes well for both of you, and you both have speedy recoveries.

As for me, I haven't been around to much...DH hit me with I am about to be unemployed. He is the mayor breadwinner in our house. I teach plus work a part time job. Not enough to support our family of five that is for sure. My oldest is in the middle of filling out college applications, and I have twins who are 12. Christmas is coming up and thank goodness I am almost done and it is paid for in full, no credit. My trips are paid in full, so most of it is non refundable, so we are going.

The thing is DH is a proud man. Last time he was unemployed he was out of work for 18 months. He would not take any job that did not have a title. He will not work more than one job. He won't work one job that pays him less than unemployment and two jobs like I have is out of the question. He is to proud to work a menial job. I think this maybe the final blow to our marriage. It almost killed us last time, we came within weeks of losing our home and at the time my kids were 3 and 8. I am a wreck to say the least.

Today I signed up to every survey site known to man. I know he is home, but other than looking at Monster.com or the paper, he will do nothing else, but complain.

I have been feeling sick to my stomach since yesterday. I feel awful...

Yes, Jen I will be there with my crew at midnight :) I hope others join us :)

Sarah and Kayte, hope tomorrow goes weel for both of you, and you both have sppedy recoveries.

I am so sorry for you. I personally have never been in that situation as a wife but I grew up in those situations. MY dad was that way didn't care if my mom worked 2 or 3 jobs to keep us afloat when his terms were over he wouldnt work at anything unless it had a title & as good pay or better than previous position. all I can do is send you

Hugs to all the snowbirds who need it today- health reasons, work situations, and unfortunate economic reasons.

I'm getting really worried about the economic situation we are headed for and I even catch myself wondering if going to Disney is the right thing to do at this time. I really want to enjoy a worry free week of magic with my family. And who knows what tomorrow may bring- I don't want to look back and regret not going. This may be the last trip with my parents and I want my children (and me) to have those memories and pictures to look back at one day.

To Glo, Sarah and Kayte:

Lots of    and a lot of prayers are coming your way!! Best of luck and I hope it will all work out for the best!
