I know some people that are central and west coast have to are rising and shining WAY early just to check. :sad2:

oops that was supposed to read:

Perhaps some Halloween candy will get my brain working again! Is 9am too early for a Snickers? It goes well with my cup of hot tea!:surfweb:

It's never too early for Snickers.:rotfl:

Happy Monday Morning!!! Another week of school means another week closer to Disney!!! I can't believe we are almost halfway through this nine weeks!!

I guess my question about codes is how far are they seperated out!! They have posted the AP and Florida resident rate codes...but no Visa or General codes??? Are they often spread out this far apart!! Maybe they are waiting until the election is over thinking that people will be settled and ready to think vacation again. I'm still crossing my fingers for all of you!! This wait sucks!

QOTD? How about what is your favorite Disney tradition? Something you always do?

Well the only thing I can remember doing all 3 trips was crying when I saw the castle and I will definitely be doing that this trip too! Oh I just remembered something else! All 3 trips we also took pictures of us in the stocks (the things where you put your head and arms in?) in Liberty Square, or is it Frontierland? I can't remember! I think it was nearer to the castle. :confused3

GOOD MORNING SNOWBIRDS! Page 100 already? At this rate we will be onto PART 5 before Christmas! :lmao:

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend with not too many candy binges! :rotfl: I think my girls scored enough treats to last them until Easter! :thumbsup2

No codes yet? Is Disney trying to kill us? I am starting to feel just the teeniest bit impatient! For the last 3 years, Canadian codes were released in the middle of October! :confused3 Something has to come out soon! :goodvibes

Well, hope everyone has a great Monday! I will try to check in a bit during the day!

Good morning everyone! I have quite the day ahead of me, but first, my DH and I are going out to breakfast. I love it when he has a day off!

QOTD- I can't really think of a traditional first ride or anything like that. I know that we'll be heading right for Fantasyland on our MK day! This trip is all about our DD! On the past two trips, we went to the Boardwalk on our first evening.

I hope that the codes come out today for everyone! I'll have my fingers (and toes) crossed!

QOTD: I don't know if I've been there enough to start a tradition yet!! However I think this time I might actually cry when I see the castle, because this trip means so much to me!!

I'm a huge fan of Haunted Mansion, so I'm going to make it tradition to try to ride it a midnight every time I go to Disney!! I'll let you know how that goes.

GLO!!! Girlie we still meeting up there?????

Is the a QOTD? How about what is your favorite Disney tradition? Something you always do?

I always go into the glass/crystal shop in MK. I think it's in the castle (at least, it used to be!). I just like to look at all the pretty things I would break if I owned because I'm a klutz!

Okay, pre-op appointment down, surgery to go! We got to do the whole thing with an explanation of surgery, the discussion of anesthesia, and recovery. They then gave me a doctor's note saying I'm cleared for work on Monday the 17th. I was planning to take a sick day then, because my recovery time is 2-3 days and... that's my whole weekend. Am I wrong to want to actually use a sick day to have a weekend since my weekend will be sick time?

Also, vacation (not Disney!) in just a hair over 72 hours!!! :cheer2:

Well one thing that we usually do is our last day, we have a character breakfast. It's been either Chef Mickey's or Donald's Breakfastosorous (or however you spell that word:rotfl: )

On the day we open MK we always go straight for Fantasyland. . . To Peter Pan's Flight and It's a Small World. . . In May as we were all heading there I said to DH - why are we going here first? And he said - I don't know, I guess it's just tradition! :rotfl:

I guess in my mind I just can't justify waiting hours for those rides in Fantasyland later in the day ( those lines get huge ), so we go their first! :goodvibes And then we go wait in long lines for more thrilling rides later! :lmao:

We call that area Stroller Land. We usually schedule in one night of EMH in MK and that's when we do "Stroller Land".

QOTD:

Our schedule always seems to have us at AK the first day. The first thing the kids want to do is save “Little Red” on the Safari. We’ll be doing it first again this year.:) For HS its breakfast at Play ‘n’ Dine at Hollywood and Vine, Epcot is going on Nemo and MK is the Haunted Mansion.

So I had to just check my flight status for Air Tran and nothing has changed. My mother booked these flights in June (we weren't even positive we were going and yet she booked flights).

I admire all you that can fly NW. I refuse to. I've flown with them way to many times and never got luggage, flights canceled - one was actually canceled as I was on the plane, dealing with absolutely idiotic customer service people - I had someone tell me that I got booked on a flight that doesn't exist because I have an "old" computer and it still registered the other flights...it really took all my energy to not burst out laughing.

I know a lot of people that fly with them and don't have too many problems. I think they just see that it's me and think "what can we do to her today"?

Morning Snowbirds. Glad everyone had a good weekend. I for one am glad it is over. Can we say "chaos" fri trick or treat followed by party at my house 25 kids running around upstairs 30 grown ups downstairs playing pinball. Sat a 13 hour day at work topped off by the craziness that is our Halloween parade that lasts 2 hours. If I have to make another hot chocolate I think i'll scream. sorry had to vent. Sun spent most of the day working on DD first speech presentation on Mount Rushmore. Getting pics printed & pasted on poster board. And keeping track of how many times she said um during her speech. Teach only allows 10 ums.

I can't even try to keep straight who posted what but my sympathies to the family that lost their dog we lost our 17 mutt last Feb. Angus had been my 19th Bday present from DH. It is hard to loose one. POstive thoughts to all that have medical issues in their families this week. Good luck to all waiting for codes.

I'm going to go hide in the storage room & hope now one comes in for the next half hour & try to power nap.

Kayte

Good Morning fellow Snowbirds :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine started off with getting a tooth pulled and it was awful, but it's not too bad now.

I was hoping to find a code this morning, maybe tomorrow.

But I would like to celebrate with all of you ...............

63 days and I will be in disney

robin :dance3: :dance3:

No, I think you are completely justified in taking the day off!! Besides you want to make sure you are completely recovered before returning to work. I will be keeping you and your doctor in my prayers and you get ready for your surgery!

QOTD: We must do the Haunted Mansion and see Spectromagic on every trip. No tradition on the order, but both are essential. Closing the park has become a tradition once d became a teenager and forgot that morning exists! :coffee:

Rope drop should be interesting this trip! :stir:

I Love Haunted Mansion...that is my favorite ride at Disney!! I never get tired of riding it!

Gah. Still no codes! And the Halloween stuff still on the website? Disney should be more on the ball than that. Where did I read that Disneyland is offereing adult tickets for the price of kids in January? Maybe on teh code watching thread.:confused3

Strollerland! HA! How funny! We're headed there are first full day in MK. My kids want to do Dumbo (and so do I!) so we gotta get that out of the way. Then we'll hit Peter Pan and something else right away. I can't imagine waiting in line for Dumbo. :rolleyes1

I can't answer the QOTD since I was only to Disney once as a teen. And I seriously doubt we'll ever get to go again unless someone else foots the bill again. So, what we do this time will be it. But I know it will be wonderfully magical! I just can't wait to watch my kids and see their faces when they see it all for the first time. Pure magic!

So, wonder when the code is coming out. It's very frustrating. But maybe this just means it's something really BIG!:cool1:
