Well it's not looking good for us January code seekers. What is Disney doing????? The Visa site still has special deals for the Trick or Treat party????:sad2:

Man... I was sure there'd be something today...

On the day we open MK we always go straight for Fantasyland. . . To Peter Pan's Flight and It's a Small World. . . In May as we were all heading there I said to DH - why are we going here first? And he said - I don't know, I guess it's just tradition! :rotfl:

I guess in my mind I just can't justify waiting hours for those rides in Fantasyland later in the day ( those lines get huge ), so we go their first! :goodvibes And then we go wait in long lines for more thrilling rides later! :lmao:

We're hitting Fantasyland first thing. I promised my 21 year old little boy that he could ride Dumbo, but I WILL NOT wait an hour and a half until I have a toddler that wants to ride it.

Gah. Still no codes! And the Halloween stuff still on the website? Disney should be more on the ball than that. Where did I read that Disneyland is offereing adult tickets for the price of kids in January? Maybe on teh code watching thread.:confused3

:

It's on mousesavers and probably other places that Disneyland is offering kids' price admission...

QOTD: Our Disney World touring is usually kind of crazy... we basically just run one way or the other. However, since they put Buzz Lightyear in, it has been a family favorite, and we ride it over and over again. It's just so much fun to try and beat each other's score and previous scores. I think I've probably ridden it more than any other ride at Disney. I think TSM will be a similar experience.

Bonjour! I haven't caught up yet, but wanted to pop in and say hello.

Thanks to everyone that sent me the GOBBLER. There was 6 of you and I couldn't fit all of your names into my signature.

I see that the codes are still not out. What's up with that?:lmao:

Going to catch up now..... :hippie:

I forgot who it was that had to put their dog to sleep, but I'm so sorry to hear it. My parents put their dog to sleep on Friday. We got her when I was 11 yrs old, so I was kind of sad. She was a mutt, but oh so cute! She lived to be 15 yrs old. This past year was when her health really started suffering. My dad said the vet would be making little cement paw prints for us to have. When he said that, I nearly lost it. It will be nice to have though.

I guess we'll just keep being obsessive compulsive codes watchers until something comes out. Good thing I have to get up early anyway. I know some people that are central and west coast have to are rising and shining WAY early just to check. :sad2:

I'm Central....I will continue to rise but shining will be optional:p

So I had to just check my flight status for Air Tran and nothing has changed. My mother booked these flights in June (we weren't even positive we were going and yet she booked flights).

I admire all you that can fly NW. I refuse to. I've flown with them way to many times and never got luggage, flights canceled - one was actually canceled as I was on the plane, dealing with absolutely idiotic customer service people - I had someone tell me that I got booked on a flight that doesn't exist because I have an "old" computer and it still registered the other flights...it really took all my energy to not burst out laughing.

I know a lot of people that fly with them and don't have too many problems. I think they just see that it's me and think "what can we do to her today"?

:rotfl2: I have flown NW many times, mostly because I live in MN where there is a hub and there are more flights available. Here there is not much competition so not so many opportunties to choose. I would prefer Sun Country, for the awesome customer service, but they don't have as many flights. There is usually some glitch though. It's so frustrating.

QOTD: My personal tradition...although I don't plan it, it just happens, is I always always always cry during Wishes. It's those little sweet voices singing.....they just get me every time!

We always eat at Crystal Palace as our first meal in WDW. Somehow seeing Pooh and friends makes it feel like "Okay...now we are on vacation"! pooh: :eeyore: :tigger:

Awwww...what a great start to your vacation!! This trip I will be ending my trip with a send-off breakfast at Crystal Palace!! I believe in going out with a bang!!!

QOTD: While we haven't been to Disney parks since we were kids, we will probably still keep ours. When we went to DL as children, we always tried to start out by going on It's a Small World. I'm so glad WDW has Small World, otherwise i'd be heartbroken! It's cheesy, but we love it and it makes us feel like we are really there. My other favorite is stopping for a chocolate covered banana. I don't know why, but it's such a comfort food!

We don't have any big traditions (yet). We kind of just wing it each time. (Maybe THAT's our tradition - no game plan). With our kids going since they were 11 mos and almost 3, every time it's different. My DD7 definitely wants to do more "big kid" stuff. Although she's not a thrill ride junkie, she will try some roller coaster type rides. (anyone recommend a good starter ride?).

I personally always like to go on Pooh's ride, I enjoy singing along, "and the rain rain rain came down down down"! :) The other thing for me is to try something new. Either food or a ride. It's like when we go to the MN state fair - it's all about food. I always try a new thing.

My DH likes the Carousel of Progress. That dang song always get stuck in my head! It's a nice place to rest and cool off if it's hot though.

I realized that I talk about MN almost every post!! I really should work for the Tourism board or something.

:rotfl: I love it! I rise early (kids, you know), but I don't often get to jump online until I'm at work. Today was the exception. I came right to the snowbirds thread anyway, since I knew you guys would be on top of any deals announced before me!! It's sure nice to know I can count on my snowbirds! :):thumbsup2

Has she tried the Goofy Barnstormer yet? That is a great kid coaster. Even I "queen of the chickens" will hold up my arms in the air on this one LOL

Wow... you peeps are chatterboxes this morning.... I took the morning off to re-read a book I had read a few years ago.... enjoyed it just as much the second time around....

QOTD: IN MK we usually go straight to Space.. but grab a few Fastpassess from Buzz
at Epcot we go right to Soarin ride and and grab fastpasses for later or to give away later
at MGM we go right to Rock n' Rollar coaster... also ride and grab fastpassess for later then to TOT
at AK right to EE...also ride and grab fastpasses for later...

Maggie and I did some Christmas shopping this weekend.... we were able to get 3 of my nieces done... and I ran into a great deal at TJMaxx.. they had Disney Princess costumes on clearance for $6 each... I bought a couple to send to my great-niece (yes I am that old) for dress up... also bought a few things for my Princess... she loves clothes.. and she is working so hard at school I thought a little treat would be nice....

I can't answer the QOTD since I was only to Disney once as a teen. And I seriously doubt we'll ever get to go again unless someone else foots the bill again. So, what we do this time will be it.

Carrie.... that is what I thought too... over 25 trips ago....:lmao:

US Air/United are that way for me!! NWA has has the fewest glitches for me, especially when you look at the number of trips I take! (Last time I flew the U's, our flights were delayed to weather and then they kept our luggage for the entire trip - we got it back in time to ship it home via UPS and mail United the bill for that and a week's worth of clothing. They coughed it up without complaint!)

Last time I flew Spirit, they moved each of my flights two hours. And that was too Disney and I thought "Oh heck NO are you shortening my vacation by FOUR hours!" Plus each flight ran late and then the terminal (not necessarily their fault!) here at Detroit Metro (which was separate) was a DISASTER. Like, no T.P. or even hand towels. Ew.

I do like AirTran but they don't go direct to a lot of places I want to go. Of course, after I bought our tickets on NWA, AT opened up direct flights to Orlando. FIE!

No, I think you are completely justified in taking the day off!! Besides you want to make sure you are completely recovered before returning to work. I will be keeping you and your doctor in my prayers and you get ready for your surgery!

Thank you! :flower3: I talked to my boss about it who is perfectly okay with me taking MORE sick time than the note allows... but she does NOT want me taking less. Fair enough. :)

Aw, thanks. :grouphug: It's not a secret, though I haven't actually said, here. I ... actually I'm not sure if I *should* say here. While it's not a secret, it might simply be Too Much Information for everyone else! In short, it's not cancerous, it is part of my reproductive system, and neither the surgery nor the problem will have any effect on my health in the years to come.

Just wanted to let you know that I've had more surgeries on my reproductive parts than I can count. I hope your surgery goes smoothly for you. If you ever need to talk, send me a PM.

FLIGHTS . . . So, Delta changed our flights on the way home. They tried to give me a 12 minute layover in Atlanta! :lmao: I said to the woman "Is that even possible?" She, thankfully was able to get us a different connecting flight. On the other hand, we changed our flight down to Disney to the day before so that we could visit family. It is costing us an additional $450 :scared1: $100 per ticket for the rebook fee + plus the difference in the cost of the flight. Stinks!!

Carrie.... that is what I thought too... over 25 trips ago....:lmao:

My goal is to be just like you Wendy I want to go 25 times!! Well it looks like I'll be going at least twice this year if not 3 times! I'm so going to get my money's worth on that AP!!!

Talked to my mom and I think she is going to come with me in December and we will do Disney at Christmas together!!

Lunch time check in- still no stinkin' codes? really Disney? What are they up to?
I hope they are in panic mode because of the declining amount of visitors and offer a SUPER++++ deal for all of us. :worship:

Stroller Land. :lmao: I guess that's another reason we do it first, to try to beat all the strollers!
I knew there was a conspiracy out there against those of us with strollers!

I'm Central....I will continue to rise but shining will be optional:p
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Yup we'll continue to be here to deliver the updates of NO CODES!!!!! Someday soon though I hope to be pleasantly surprised!

I'm still trying to talk my hubby into moving to FL so I can work as a CM and get us free tickets and live the Disney life. He has this crazy idea that FL isn't the place for us- no snow, hurricanes, too far from family, we'd need to find jobs... :rolleyes1 He just rolls his eyes when I say "Yeah, but honey it's Mickey!!!!!" He just doesn't get it.
