New to the Dis LGMH trend- anyone have pics? Do you use the paint chips from Home Depot or get crafty on your own?

I have a few from Home Depot. I'll probably write my screen name on it and then I'm going to laminate it . I want that baby to last forever! Mine will stand out drastically because I have a black "shoe back/backpack thingy" with Tigger on it. So Lime Green will definitely stand out.

My oh my....I had like 10 pages to catch up on today! Let's see if I can comment on some stuff I've read.....

Soleil- I LOVE Jon and Kate plus 8 and so does my DD. I feel like I know them!

I will be sporting a LGMH on my sling backpack. Nothing fancy...I'll probably just put my screen name on it and tie it onto my backpack.

So sorry that the codes didn't come out today for everyone. There's always tomorrow, right? Shelly- you posted that they came out on the 30th last year. That was a Tuesday. I hope you won't have to wait until next week!

I will definately post pics of my DD in her Halloween costume. It will probably be over the weekend. Maybe I'll even post one of me and my DH since we're going to a party on Sat night. Everyone's kiddos looked so cute in their costumes!

I used the Home Depot ones and cut them out and then put them on card stock that I decorated... along with my screen name... and laminated them.... sorry I don't have a photo...

I am such a dancing banana right now because I just found out that Kate Gosselin (of Jon & Kate Plus 8) is coming to a church nearby this Saturday night. I her! (No flames please, as I know some people strongly dislike her.) They were going to come to a different church, but canceled. It has been rescheduled and I'm over the moon.

I'm take DD to Disney Live with Pooh and that night to see Kate.

Oh. NOW I get what LGMH stands for.

I should get to Home Depot and nab a few for my own nefarious purpose. It seems that mostly the quiet people are going to be at Disney when I am. A few of the more chatty posters will be there over the weekends buuuuut... we're probably not going to any parks on the 10th (sad face) and we're flying out veeeeeeeeery early on the 17th (also sad face, different reason). That's how my luck goes, though!!! Heck, I spent much of a year chatting with someone I was going to be on the same cruise with and we never once met up!

But you never know! And you can't meet people if you aren't obvious!!

Does the QOTD need to be Disney related? Have we done a "what's your favorite Halloween (or, for non-Halloween celebraters, any candy) treat?"

Mine's mini Almond Joys! My coworker (she's awesome ) picked through all the bags and set aside all the Almond Joys for me when my stomach was achey. (I gave a lot back, but she wanted to be sure I got some!!) Snickers are my next favorite.

Both... I have purchased wallet size laminating pouches.... and I have a friend at the elementary school and she does it for me .... unless I am subbing at the high school then I do it myself....

Oh, I forgot about the weather report today!! All this talk about codes.

Today in MN it is gorgeous and 61 degrees at nearly 2 p.m.!! Tomorrow is also expected to be like this, so trick-or-treating won't require parkas and mittens!! YAY!
Those of you east of here should expect a fabulous weekend!

As for QOTD - my favorite halloween candy is a tie between 100 Grand and Hershey's Special Dark. I just never seem to see the 100 grand any other time. I can't do candy corn or those pumpkins.

Last year I bought laminating sheets from Target or Office Max for our cruise luggage tags. They were like pockets, 8 x 10 or so and you could put a few tags in there and seal it (kind of self sticking) and cut them as desired. Super easy, no iron, no machine etc. Very sturdy. I think I have some left, so will use those. I think they were made by the same company as makes labels etc.

Ok question. Apparently no codes aply to me because we are renting points. However, we haven't gotten our park tickets yet. So would there be any codes that are just for the tickets? We don't have AAA or Disney Visa ( I really want it, but need to pay off my other card first ). So is there anythign that will aply to us?

Usually, they do not release discounts on the tickets specifically. There are a few online vendors that offer discounted tickets though.

I don't understand the need to get all rude and mean with people over opinions!!! Geez!!!

Anyways well I'm officially an AP holder! I went ahead and called Disney ticketing and upgraded my 4-day pass to an AP for the whopping additional cost of $54.00 which means I must now start planning how to get there in December YAY!!!!

Oh yes, I left that part out. Let me start over - FIRST they bite your head and butt off, THEN they DIS stalk you for days posting right after you on just about every thread you post on just to disagree with you.

First off, thanks for all the birthday wished for DD.

Second, that January Code Watch thread is out of control. Some of the people are obsessed with codes. A code should not be a determining factor of your Disney trip. I count my blessings every day that we can go again this year. But we make sure we can afford the trip (code or not) before we book. If we get a code and it saves us money, great! It will be money for the trip that can be used elsewhere. Hopefully, money spent on me! Some people just need to step back and breath, relax. In my best James Earl Jones voice from Field of Dreams "Codes will come people, codes will most definitely come!"

I think I contributed to the January Code watch madness... I decided to explain WHY making multiple reservations is frowned upon, because I think people should have all the information when they make decisions. However, after my post I think 10 other people decided to repeat what I had said.

The only reason I was over there was to find out about discounts, and then I saw that somebody seemed to have added the Dining Plan to their AP discounted room, and I wanted information about that.
At this point I don't think I'm going to get an answer to my question though, because they're all so obsessed with the dual reservation thing... it's just silly.
