January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part III !!!

We will be there Jan 18-25 at SSR. Our first trip as DVC members, staying on developer's points.

Our meals are:

Jan 18-arrive in Orlando at 2pm-Chef Mickey's 8pm

Jan 20-LeCellier lunch 11:35am

Jan 22-Mom and DD#2-CRT at noon; Dad and DD#1-CP at noon

I'd like to try T-Rex while we're there. We usually hit Trail's End Buffet at some point, depending on when we get tired of counter service! Earl of Sandwich is another favorite, and will be convenient since we'll be near DTD. We don't like to spend a lot of our touring time on sit down meals. Breakfasts will be in the villa.

:welcome: to the snowbird family!

Is it just me or do we have an awful lot of new members this past week? I bet word got around how much fun we are and people decided they just had to book a Jan trip!

!

So, we've talked about our kids and their Halloween costumes. Did any adults dress up or are you going to dress up? What are you wearing?

My DH and I are going to a Halloween party on Saturday. I'm going to be a pirate (got my costume today) and my DH is going to be the Buffalo Bills playoff hopes. I can explain, but I don't want to make any New England fans angry!

Well Here it is not even November yet and we had our first snow storm :goodvibes This picture was taken outside my office early this morning. Around 10:15 the power went out and at about 11:45 we closed up and called it a day :cool1: Came home and had no power, no phone, no heat, no internet...no nothing. Couldn't even work on my cross stitch project cause it wasn't light enough in the house on this dreary day. Power came back on about 3:45 and now it is toasty warm in here, dinner is cooking and here I am :surfweb: catching up on all I missed.

It is still snowing lightly and we have about 7 or 8 inches of heavy wet snow. Trees and limbs down everywhere, parts of the interstates closed cause of accidents and man is that wind blowing.

I'm going as a "female adventurer" It's a sexy female version of the Indiana Jones costume. I love dressing up for Halloween, it makes it all the more fun!

Robin that is just awful:scared1: ... we are getting the rain/snow mixture right now (we are north of Syracuse NY) but it should be turning over to snow... I hope we don't lose power.... I hate being cold...

That is nuts! I'm not ready for snow yet. I just hope the forecast doesn't change for Friday. It's supposed to be in the 50's with some sun. Just no rain or snow for trick or treating please!

I am so excited... ran out to do some errands today and bought the Sleeping Beauty and Tink movies... the Tink movie came with a Tink Tote bag... both were under $20 at Sams Club......

I went to a party last weekend and dressed as one of 5 Deal or No Deal models. We had a Howie Mandel and the five of us dressed alike and wore wigs and carried little briefcases (they came with a DND card game). Way fun. I won't be dressing up for Halloween though.

We have a summer house not to far from Canadaguia... it is over on Honeyoe Lake.... it is such beautiful country there... great wineries... have you ever been to Sonnenberg Gardens?

Alrighty, time to go take my weather and climate mid-term. Which is ironic considering how much that has been the topic of conversation of late!

Catch everyone later!

OMG! I don't check-in for a few weeks and you guys are already on page 38 of PART III? What do ya'll talk about? This is the chattiest thread! I've been spending most of my time on the January Code thread...still no codes:sad2: and working on my schedule. Do any of you know if the Castle lighting show will still be going on thru January 4th?

Shelly, Here's our most updated version of our ADR's. Hopefully it'll be the last:rolleyes1

Jan 5th: Brown Derby 3:45PM
Jan 6th: San Angel Inn 11:50AM, Le Cellier 6:50PM
