Jen.... Daniel just sent me a text message that he shot at a 4 point buck.... not sure if he hit it or not... this would be his first buck with a bow.... I probably won't know until dark... when they emerge from the woods I know that you so totally get what I am going thru.......... I miss having my girly DD at home who was more interested in clothes and going to the mall.... now its ESPN and hunting...

I feel your pain...I truly do This is why we have adopted each other LOL!!

Phil..who's reading this over my shoulder says to tell him WTG Dan!!! He's hoping that he got it LOL!! And he says there is nothing wrong with ESPN and Hunting...MEN LOL

Kitchen Aid Mixers~ I go back and forth every year on wanting one of these!!! I usually do my big baking at Christmas--tons of cookies!! So, what else beside desserts do you use it for? Also, what's a good one to look into?

Bread, potatoes, everything! I have the one with the bigger bowl and I'm so glad I do. I can do triple and even quadruple batches of some recipes.

This morning I was telling you all about the New York State Field Band Competition..... its huge.... bands from all over NY state, Conn, Pennsy., and Ohio come to compete..... anyway the Syracuse newspaper had a photographer there... and they took a photo of DS (mind you he doesn't look the 5 ft 11 inches he is).... it is kind of neat though....

This is the boy who likes to smell like dirt? I don't believe it!

Ok... so I was going to be in charge of the Secret Santa thing. Usually I'm really good at such things. I even found a Secret Santa Generator online, so no one would know who everybody had. However, the first time I input one of my brothers' e-mail addresses wrong. So I sent out a new batch... nullifying the first one and making the "From" line more specific [From: Becca (THIS is your person)] Ok... so it was all good, and I started looking for a gift for my new person, a brother now instead of a sister, so I thought it would be harder, but I found some really cool websites with really cool stuff on them.
Then, my Mom called. She got my youngest brother his very first e-mail address just for the choosing of Secret Santas, and apparently G-mail lumped together all the e-mails that came from the same place (my e-mail through the Secret Santa Generator) The poor kid was very confused, so I figured it out for him, but it wouldn't let me delete just part of the e-mails... It was either the whole thing, or none of it, which means he has 1 e-mail with 3 tabs...which is confusing. I determined which tab it should be and called my sister to tell her what I found out (she and her husband also have G-Mail accounts) Anyways... we decided in order to make it less confusing. We would all delete all the e-mails, and she would generate a new list tomorrow, that way there wouldn't be any confusion...
And all of this has occurred in the last few hours...

Anyone else planning on wearing Phillies world series champs shirts in Jan.?

We'll have Phillies gear on for sure!! We were at WDW in January 1994, which was after the Phils were in the World Series the last time. We saw Jim Fregosi, the manager, at MGM. We talked to him and thanked him for the good season, and got our picture taken with him. DH wore his Phillies hat most of the time. And that was when they lost!!!! Looking forward to celebrating tonight!!!

Thanks again!!! The opinion here at work seems to be that I should get another, so we'll see what my doc says when she calls me back. If she can't shed light on it, I might go that way!!

Sarah, adding my best wishes to you as well. It's so frustrating, and makes you wonder if the care we get nowadays is because it's what's best, or is what the insurance companies want you to do. i.e. cheaper to do minor surgery. Fight for what you believe in, get a second opinion, do as much research as you can and come armed with FACTS if you'd rather do the major surgery.

Haha... I was expecting something like this to happen... if it didn't I would be more worried that when Christmas came we found out that one person got 3 presents and other people got none.

I know... he has the cutest clothes! I have to refrain from buying too many clothes for him, because I've already spent too much on him, and he's only 3 months... (I didn't buy him that outfit though...)

OK this thread is going waaaaay to fast! It seems like the closer we get, the more excited and talkative we're gonna get! This is turning from a chat board to a chat room!

Did anyone else forget how cold the 50's really are? I know its 89 days away, but being the fashionista I am I can't help but wonder "What the H*LL am I gonna pack????" Warm in the daytime, cold at night? Urgh.
I've been hearing some other snowbirds complain about it, but the four letter winter word has been brought up here too....snow. Granted it's only a rain snow mix, but we usually don't even see snow like temps untill Thanksgiving!

Layers! I've been buying lots of plain long sleeve tees (Target, Gap, Old Navy...) to wear under my tops and I'm going to put them in DH's back pack when it gets too warm during the day.

I'm really excited that I get to go on his first trip to Disney with him... of course that could change though, because his other grandparents are the ones with the house in Orlando...

You DN is such a Stud Muffin! What a cutie! He's so lucky to have Grandparent's in Orlando.

He really is... luckily his grandparents are really nice people, so they've already offered us their house for use on vacations. (they're only there part of the year...)
They offered for my honeymoon too, but I declined, because I really want to stay on the property, and the idea of not having to drive myself anywhere really appeals to me as well...

I have returned!!! My DH was home today from work so he could catch up on some stuff for grad school. He hijacked the laptop all day so I had no Dis time. I really dislike my desktop computer. It's way too slow lately. I had so much to catch up on!!!!

All this talk of Kitchen Aids makes me so jealous! My older sister got one from my parents for Christmas last year. At the time, we were still in our apt and didn't have the room for one. I desperately want one this year!!!! I'd love a pink one, but my kitchen is sage green and white. Pink would still look cute though!

I'm going to start working on a countdown. I love reading everyone elses! Ok, off to look at my calendar!

I hear ya with the worries, DF today announced we are goin to let someone else do the driving to the airport! He booked a round trip limo from our apartment to Hopkins! Wooo HOO!!!!!

I too am a little worried about flying in the winter. I've flown in March before, and it was very windy. I'm hoping that we won't have to wait to de-ice the plane or anything like that! I would flip out.
