Okay, I just re-figured. I was going off of 6 nights instead of 7. I actually saved $542 plus will get the $200 gift card!!!!!!!!!!

We saved about that much, too!

My TA had emailed me so when we got to my parent's house, it was there waiting for me!! No word on a gift card, but I emailed her to ask.

Still. $513+ in savings is AWESOME and that's without any word on the gift card. Wow wow wow!!!

This help offsets the fact that my annual trip to Atlanta is the first weekend of the semester next fall. My boss has two weeks we can't take vacation - first week in the fall semester and the first week in the winter (spring) semester. Curses! (Plus the organizer of the event didn't tell us ahead of time and there's now a city-wide convention that same weekend!)

Well, it looks like I am out of luck! Darn! I really wanted to save money! We can stay at POFQ but if we want to save money we would have to move to CBR. I have stayed at CBR before and loved it, but that was almost 18 yrs ago and I have dreamed of staying at POFQ ever since then. There is no way around it either! THERE iS ABSOLUTELY NO AVAILABILITY AT POFQ! I should feel lucky that we have a reservation there and that our trip is paid in full! I know it sounds selfish but I just feel like we are getting jipped somehow! Anyway, I am very tired AND I have a headache so I think I will sleep on it. CONGRATULATIONS to all of you who were able to use the codes!

I'm not quite there yet. I called to book through Disney but Poly was booked. Luckily, I already have the Poly booked through AAA for 7 nights. I was going to cancel with AAA if I was able to book thru Disney. The lovely cast member said that I could modify my AAA ressie with my agent tomorrow.

So here I sit and wait for 9:00 am to roll around.

Congrats to all of you who saved big bucks.

When it was all said and done with my AP, APrate room and dining, I paid just about $825-850ish for my 7day/6 night trip to DISNEY...is that fantastic or what!! I'm very very excited

okay, just for kicks, I'm on the Disney website getting a quote for exactly what my TA from the other website got me...the Disney website is quoting me $2543.55 for Wilderness Lodge.

To all snowbirds who received great discounts, good for you.

For all snowbirds who are happy with what they have, I am glad it worked out for you.

While I was at work my DH called our CAA agent who was on hold with Disney. By the time it was all said and done, we do not come out ahead with this deal. Somehow, even if we changed our reservations to 14 nights instead of 13, we would be paying $123.64 more than through CAA, and that is with 2 of the $200.00 gift cards being included (we would book two 7 night stays) and if we could have applied the AAA discount! Who would have thought? The CAA agent, my DH and myself all did the math separately and came out the same. My DH is a math wiz so I trust him.

Our CAA agent said that Disney is not using value season rates on the hotels, and to just wait. She said that the CM let it slip out that something for AAA members is coming out late November or early December. She also said we cannot use or AAA discount with the Disney deal. Who knows she could be incorrect with that one, but we are happy how things are.

I am a bit sad, that the deal did not come out better for my family but I am happy for the rest of you and any deals you may have.

I will now be happy to go about planning what to do each day and what are the major attractions that are a must visit and chatting with all of you wonderful snowbirds.

No she didn't mention that but I saw your post about it. I will be asking her about it tomorrow.

I hope the Disney CM didn't get it wrong...the extra discount would be nice...we're only saving about $350 with the Disney offer...I was really hoping for free dining that would have saved us about $1000. But I'll take any discount I can get.

I'm up early for work today BLAH!! I'm still waiting not so patiently for my deal to come through. Hopefully by 10, I will be all set up with my new package. Here's hoping that I save BIG BUCKS!!

Anyone else feeling a sense of relief now that we know what the deal is, and have saved some $$ (either by booking it, or in my case going with the AP discount )? It's like a strange sort of calm has come over me, and now I can go through, double check our plans, adjust a few things here and there (to have dinner in T-Rex one night), and not be patrolling the DisBoards day and night looking for news on codes?? Don't get me wrong, I hearing what you're all doing, but there won't be the urgency to keep checking all the time now.[COLOR]

What a great night's sleep. I woke up with a smile and was giggling and singing a little tune- I'm going to Disney, I saved some money, and I get to stay at CBR!!!!!!!

Congrats on making it through the night without your baby! We just recently started letting our 4 year old spend the night at my parents and it was tough- no giggling- I'm overprotective I know! He loves it though because he gets to spend the night with his two cousins and it's good for dh and I too. Only one baby to put to bed (and she goes to be earlier) when he spends the night with my parents and that gives us a little more quality time together.

Morning all...... Congrats to all the snowbirds that saved money on thier trip... with the new deal I'm actually thinking of going back in May with just my DD and myself. But to tell you the truth I feel a little selfish since my DH won't be there.... But he insisted this morning that I go... so i'll be on the phone in a little while with a CM...... wish me luck... oh and I'm stuck between going to CBR or POP.... wish me luck on that too....

This is so awesome. Woohoo! Plus, we are able to keep our resort and our original length of stay (I thought we might have to change up our trip, since we're staying for 8 nights), which means we can also keep all of our ADR's.
