I guess you all are taking it seriously to get to Part III by the end of the week!! :) You have been so chatty this a.m. Must be that many of you are on Eastern Time!! By the time I get to work and get online, you've added three pages since I went to bed!! Now that I'm all caught up,

Shelly - Thanks for the 1900 PF menus. I've been thinking about that and CRT. Might not get it on this trip, but boy does that look yummy!! I've heard that Anastasia and Drizella are really fun too. Might have to make a call...

Welcome to all the new Snowbirds! It's so awesome that more people keep joining in!!

Okay, now I really must get some work done or my boss will wonder what I do all day. Think I should tell her?? :) She already knows I am Disney obsessed.

Catch you all later...

Can I add where we are eating?!?!?!?!

01/16/09 Crystal Palace Pooh breakfast
01/17/09 Liberty Tree Tavern
01/18/09 Kids Teppan Eno - adults private dinning
01/19/09 ???????
01/20/09 Hoop De Doo
01/21/09 ???????

Got you added! :thumbsup2

:lmao: That's something I would have done. For us, we can't have stuff like that to bring along since we are flying. We do buy the individual packets of Kool-aid/Crystal Light, so we aren't drinking plain ol' water. So the other day I bought some of that and I thought my mother was going to die at the store. We apparently have "plenty of time to get that stuff". :rotfl:

Welcome aboard!

Me too!!! It's 33 degrees here right now. I'm really not prepared for this...:rolleyes1 :headache:

I just keep reminding myself that it will be even colder in Jan. when I will be in FL!!!! I love making phone calls to people back here when I'm in FL (usually I just got out of the pool!) I'm so mean :upsidedow

Okay, I post and then I realize I forgot to mention how COLD it is here in Minnesota!! We did have frost overnight! UGH! I prefer it not to get cold until after Halloween. But that is reality here. It just is hard to adjust to that first day you have to wear a winter coat!
It's true - when it's below zero in MN and WI we will be enjoying beautiful weather at WDW!!! I'm mean too! Those of you south of the Mason-Dixon line, and you know who you are, ;) toughen up!! You've got it so good!!!

Yes, I am hoping Anastasia and Drizella are really funny as to distract the boys from realizing that we are actually at a pirncess meal!! :rotfl:

Have a great day at work. :goodvibes

I have my pins and lanyards ready, but that is it. Wht kind of lanyards do you use for the room key????

I am looking for the kind that have the ziplock enclosire and are see through on both sides so the kids do not have to take them out. I know there are DVC ones out there like that...so I was hoping to spot some!!!!

Gee, I probably will be bidding against you on lanyards!! :) I've got 98 days to go and I've got a box full of stuff set aside that I "need" for the trip.

I have my box too!!! LOL...Hey atleast I will lose to a DIsney fanatic if I do ;) :)

Got you added! :thumbsup2

Thank you!!!!

Can I join too???!!
We'll be at WDW 1/24-1/29. I'm not sure where we're staying the first night...I'm thinking Pop Century. And then we'll be at Animal Kingdom Lodge 1/25-1/29!! I'm so excited!!!!

 Welcome!!!!!!

Anyone have the site where you can buy Disney grab bags pins?

Enjoy your dinner, though - even if it's a work thing, it might still be fun to have a little uninterrupted time with your DH. And you don't even have to cook!

I did enjoy it!! & yes, I always like when I can spend time with just my sweet, handsome husband!!!

Peanut1: My bookclub meets tonight. We just read The Thirteenth Tale and I absolutely loved it. Would you recommend The Next Thing on My List for our next book on our list?

Karen

Oh, I loooved the 13th tale !! That was better than I thought it would be!!!What type of book are you looking for? Mystery, novel, historical, romance,Christian fiction? I am a book lover--as well as other Librarians on here--we'll help you out!:thumbsup2

Well, as the odd duck, I'm not "hurt" by everyone's conversation, just pointing out that, yeah, I'm different. BUT!!! even still, amongst the posters with children, the posters who go to church - everyone does things differently. I like hearing everyone's POV on life!
Keep chatting! Keeps the thread interesting! Like I said, despite people's similarities, we're all different and it's fun to learn about everyone. Just because I picked a weird path doesn't mean I think everyone ought to be like me.... to the contrary! Whose kids would I get to spoil, otherwise?! Whose babies would I get to knit clothing/accessories for? How can we learn to understand and be tolerant?
Thanks- and I totally agree!!:)

I wasn't going to say anything about the conversation I missed last night, but after I gave it some though and after I received some PM's from other Snowbirds I thought I should comment.

I certainly don't feel that anyone on this thread has tried to "exclude" anyone else. It is natural that you bond better with some people more than others. Especially when you are talking to people with common interests, whether it be - Disney, faith, religion, being a SAHM, working, raising a family, having no children, working in ministry, homeschooling, going to church, not going to church, etc. . . Yes, there are a lot of us on this thread with a lot of comment interests so naturally we talk about those things. Not ever has anyone suggested that anyone else should have their interests or what someone else does or does not do is wrong. So there is no need for anyone to feel excluded. And there is no need for anyone to feel like they should have to keep their thoughts to PM's.

I am a SAHM and I talk about my family all the time and I will continue to do so. I also have strong faith and will talk about that too. Several times there have been Snowbirds that have been in need of prayer and it is nice to have such a great support group. :grouphug:

Please everyone feel free to talk about whatever you want to. I feel that we have all made a great connection here. If we hadn't everyone would not continue to come back here everyday. :goodvibes

I agree whole heartedly! I was going to say almost the exact same thing!!

Okay, now I really must get some work done or my boss will wonder what I do all day. Think I should tell her?? :) She already knows I am Disney obsessed.

Catch you all later...

NO!!:sad2: Don't tell her! You might get in BIG trouble--then you couldn't come and play with us anymore:eek:

Okay I have to share with you all my utterly pathetic Disney moment this morning...

Please don't crucify me to hard LOL!!!

Okay so this morning as my husband and I were getting ready for work I noticed that a case of bottled water that I had previously bought for hurrican season was opened and few were taken out. I looked at my husband and was like what are you doing with that?? And he in all of his infinite wisdom was like ...honey I don't think we'll need it for hurricane season anymore (He's right for the most part we have survived another hurricane season).

Then with the most pathetic look (or so I was told) and the most pathetic voice I said, but honey that was going to be my Disney water. The silence was uncanny and the look on his face was priceless. "You do realize you can buy more water before January right?" Well yeah I know, but that was my Disney water. LOL

Suffice to say he has the water bottles and I will be buying more a little closer to our trip...okay so I have shared with you my embarassing Disney moment of the day!! LOL

Too funny Jen.... I can see the look on your DH face now... kind of head tilted to one side... eyebrows up...:lmao:

Does everyone have a Disney box???? You know.... the one in the spare room on the bed where you put all the little things you buy to take with you... little laundry detergents, laynards, first aid kit... etc....

Okay, be warned - I will probably post them every morning!! :rotfl: We are going to 1900 Park Fare for the first time in January. :goodvibes Can't wait!!

Park Fare is one of my fav places to eat.... of course it has something to do with the fact I love Mary Poppins.... so a little funny story... the last time we were at Park Fare I thought it would be fun to hand to each of the characters my autograph when they came to the table... everyone except Cinderella laughed and had fun with it.... she was a little insulted....:confused

NO!!:sad2: Don't tell her! You might get in BIG trouble--then you couldn't come and play with us anymore:eek:

I am playing when I am supposed tobe at a sales meeting..... shhhhh don't tell....

Good Morning! I forgot to say Hi in my first posts!!! Well, as you know I was feeling yuck yesterday. I do feel much better today. By the time we got home the headache was turning into a migraine-by the time the sitter left and I got to bed- I was sick at my stomach. For all you migraine sufferers....I took Tylenol PM and woke up about 6 and it was gone!! So, next time you get one try that. I always take something and try to sleep-a friend told me to do the Ty PM and that was the best- and it was great! So, I thought I would pass it on!!!

Nothing new here-my middle son still has the sniffles- God love him! His little nose is red as a beet!!!! I do need to take him to get new shoes -but I don't think he is up to it!!! Maybe after lunch.

It's cooling off here a bit-but it won't stay-we don't have it consistent for a while yet. We get it back and forth. cool days, then it heats back up for a week--this happens a lot til about January. I have spent many Christmases in Shorts!!!!

Halloween-dd has the cutest outfit from the Childrens Place it's a dress like thing with gauzey-toile stuff cut in ribbons so it can be twirled about!! It's top is velvety and sleeveless---with black velvet gloves that come to the elbow and a black kitty eye mask! IT's sooooo cute!! My middle son is just wearing jeans with a t-shirt that's long sleeved with a skelton that glows in the dark-but it's just from the neck to the belly and then the arm bones. Really cute!!

Check in later girls!! & guys!!!

My apartment is my Disney bin! When a friend came over for the first time a few months ago she said "If I didn't know you, I'd be concerned" If Disney didn't want my house looking like a shrine, they would stop making all those cute knickknacks right? :confused3 ;)
I think I have a permant Disney packing list in my head, for those last minute trips!

You know if you're worried about taking kids out of school, there are lots of fun educational ideas floating about. I remember seeing work sheets and projects that kids can do relating a school-time Disney trip to their school work. IE: Animal projects, cultural research projects. My parents were totally against us missing school, so that's how I've always felt, but I thought that was a really clever way to make up for a little of the lost time.

So glad you are feeling better. I agree, Tylenol PM is great!! I get a headache nearly every Sunday at the soccer field. Where we sit to watch the game the sun is directly facing us. I wear my sunglasses but still get a nasty headache right between the eyes. I take some Tylenol PM Sunday night and wake up all better!

Does this get cut off at 200? My memory escapes me.:confused3

Also - is there another breakfast with Pooh, besides Crystal Palace?

:upsidedow I'm having a topsy-turvy brain day.:upsidedow

It gets cut off at 250 pages, so we're good for a few days.

"Breakfast with Pooh" Hehee. I just think that sounds so funny!

My first trip to Disney World I was in 2nd grade. My "assignment" for the trip was to write a journal. So every night when we went back to the hotel I would sit down and write about what we did that day. *My mother still has the journal. I laugh at it but I can still recall the way I felt the first time I met Mickey Mouse, and my journal shows with great 8yr old enthusiasm.:goodvibes
