I joined Tour Guide Mike, but I'm really not that into it. I'm too impatient to look at everything.

Shelly- We are eating at O'Hana out first night and the menu looks scrumptious! I think DH is going to love it!

Too funny! My hubby gets on a lawn care forum that I find completely boring but to each his own I guess.

Headed to KFC for lunch.... I'm craving their mac-n-cheese for some off reason.

Here's my suggestion - If you can manage it, get him there on at least one trip before or without kids. Teach him about it before you are on a kid-oriented schedule, show him there's more to WDW than the castle and the Magic Kingdom (even though we all love that, too)!

This is what worked for me. DH and I went over MLK weekend in 1996, before kids, for his first visit. He didn't understand why we needed to spend four days at an "amusement park" , but he went along with it to humor me. Of course he had a great time! Our very first attraction was Spaceship Earth (this was before the need to hurry to Soarin', Mission: Space, or Test Track), and after the ride he got absorbed in all the exhibits at the exit. I had to drag him out of there, assuring him that there were LOTS more cool things we needed to see!

I have to admit, though, that he doesn't know about the DIS...my secret vice! I only DIS while he's at work I feel a little guilty about how much time I spend here, but I can justify it because I KNOW we'll all appreciate everything I've learned. DH loves saving time and/or money, so DIS time is an important investment in our future vacation happiness, right?

OMG... I am terrified of snakes... I would have died on the spot..... we always ask for a ground floor room..... maybe not anymore.... can you imagine..... I am shaking in my seat......

You're the greatest! Does your wife know how good she has it?

No, could you tell her? I'm just kidding. My Wife says that "I took one too many blows to the head playing college football" and that she was the one who got stuck taking care of me! But like I said before, we're just two big kids that enjoy Disney for being Disney!

(On a side note, I certainly wasn't trying to step on any other Hubby's toes with my comments )

I'm cracking up at how unaffected they seemed by it all. I've seen people make a bigger deal about their food being cold. What a dream for management.

I always request a top floor at the moderates for the reason of less noise and less chance of "critters", but if you read through that thread apparently people have had them in deluxe hotels on higher floors.

I belong to Tourguidemike, I have put alot of the information in my binder to read.

My hubby also belongs to a fishing and hunting forum so he's all about that LOL... while I have my DIS!! We will see when we have kids for now Disney is definitely not my hubby's cup of tea and he is completely okay with that as am I. I'm definitely not taking him back alone without kids again LOL!!!

Thanks for the menus Shelly I love to read them and then get hungry LOL I can't wait for Disney food.

As far as the snake..I can't even fathom walking into that....OOOOHHHH

Ha!!! My Mike doesn't even KNOW he's a Snowbird!! He's great with computers, but I don't think he'ld figure this out in a hurry!!

Wise up, my darling husband.... planning a vacation is my talent!

Mike knows this is my talent----he's just always wondering how much my God-given talent is gonna set him back!!! He loves for me to plan everything we do,because--as he says: I am sooooo good at it!!!

Me toooooo!! I am the #1 snake-a-phobe---------How long was that little devil up there before they even noticed it? DANG!! I am getting a real tummy ache right now. SHOOT. I am kinda getting the shakes. I believe that they are Satanic. No kidding----why else did a snake tempt Eve. And I just gotta say this--Did she NOT think it was weird an animal was talking to her?

I always tell my husband we need to get our younger son a pair of glasses just for the look--we have nicknamed him the Professor!!! He is soooo smart. I can just see him in a lab coat and glasses!!! He's so sweet!

Every time I'm on the Dis, my DH always says, "blogging again?" I have to remind him constantly what the difference is between a blog and a discussion board. He doesn't mind when I'm on here because that means I'm not talking non-stop about Disney to him. He actually loves WDW. He's only been twice, but this trip was actually HIS idea! He mentioned it months ago, and we were originally planning to go the summer of 2009. Then, one day out of the blue, he suggested moving the trip up a few months. I sure love my DH!

Ok, that snake is totally creepy! I've never thought about creepy crawlers/slitherers in a hotel room, until now! I do NOT like snakes one bit and neither does my DH. We would have totally flipped out. I've never liked the huge gap under the doors at Marriotts to begin with and now I hate them!
