So what is everyone's children dressing up as for Halloween? pirate: And when is your town's Trick or Treat?

I will have one Skeleton and one red Power Ranger. Their school parties are this Friday afternoon and our Trick or Treat is on Saturday 4-6.

Our school actually does not call it a "Halloween" party. It is a Literary Day party and parade. The concept is to dress up as a character from a book and bring in the book to share with the class. Luckily we have a book about a skeleton and a Power Ranger book!

We are going to have to have a whole section just for us!!! I am soooo excited--we are really moving along!!

Nope, not me. That would force me to plan more! :) Although I am contemplating getting the Passporter for both WDW and Cruise.

We must be polar opposites because I'm an obsessive compulsive planner!! I have membership to TGM and Unofficial Guide and I have preordered the 2009 Deluxe Passporter...I'm insane LOL

My DD is going to be a black cat w/a white stomach. She is obsessed with cats (we have two)! She's been a Disney princess every year (1yo-Tink, 2yo-Care Bear (I know, not a princess), 3yo-Belle, 4yo-Ariel, 5yo-Cinderella), so I don't know why the change this year. Our trick or treat is on Halloween at dusk (it always is), but other towns do designate a different day. My DD's school party is on Halloween and it's a half day as well. I think it's a conference day or something. Not sure. They have a half day this Thursday and then no school on Friday for conferences....I don't get it!

I finally kicked my Husband off ;), time for me to post! Our DD is going as Jasmine and our DS is going as Buzz Lightyear. Our Trick or Treat is Friday the 31st, 5:30-8:30pm.

I don't belong to TGM, but I've thought about it. I've subscribed to the UG and I like it well enough. I too pre-ordered a deluxe passporter. I have the 2007 version and its great! I haven't really been planning lately. We just have to book our rental car and buy park tickets. That's it! However, I know that I will start planning and re-planning once I get my new passporter! I just LOVE reading about WDW! I pretty much know what parks we're going to on certain days. Since Fantasmic is only showing twice and so is Spectro, I had to plan around those. I have to pick a day for AK. Never been there, so I have NO idea how much time it will take.

DD9 is going to be a classy witch, and DD6 is going to be a movie star. I'll do makeup for both of them and hair for DD6 (DD9 has a wig). DH is going to be Captain Jack pirate: (MIL is making his puffy shirt as we speak), and I'm going to be a tiger. I got the coolest eyelashes for me! Not that tigers have big eyelashes per se, but it's Halloween, right? :thumbsup2

DDs don't have a party at school because they go to private school. Which is fine with me, as Halloween isn't my favorite. Our trick or treating is Friday from 6-8 pm. I'm always glad when it's over!

If you are really into the animals it can take an entire day or more I would guess. AK is HUGE, the largest Disney park. But if you are like us and don't really care to see the animals and just go to do the major attractions, you can be in and out of there in 3-4 hours.

The past several years we have had really crappy weather for trick or treat - cold and wet. I'm really hoping for some decent weather this year. :wizard:

Just checked the extended forecast - looks like same as always - 50 and rain. :sad2:

Yeah if we have a new thread every 5 weeks or so we will be on Part 5 before we leave! :faint:

Shelly..........another thread..........another reason to party!!!  :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

Jen.... our lives are just way to much alike... you work with teens... I have them... DH fish, hunt, etc... and aren't Disney crazy like us.... and I could talk about and plan Disney EVERY DAY!!!!... :lmao:

I love TGM just for the fact that his what parks on what days are right on the money... atleast from past experience of us using his methods..... never tried the UG but I do love my passporter.....

I am excited about getting my Passporter...I had one back in 2005, but don't know where it disappeared to so I'm excited to get a new one. I just love being able to read about Disney LOL!!

Ummm...as far as AK goes I usually can do all the must sees in half a day but it depends on if you would like to see shows...most people from what I have read can be done with the park by 3ish!

Hey! We get to be snowbirds, too!

We will be at WDW Jan 8-14, doing the Disney Half Marathon. We are eating at Spoodles the 11th, and Boma the 12th -- I'm leaving the rest up to how we feel...

My ds10 is going to be an alien for Halloween. He's trick or treating with his two bffs, who are twins. I got all 3 boys little plush Halloween Stitch figures from the Disney store, since they call themselves the "Stitch Brothers".

Halloween plush are half price right now at the Disney store, and you get a 15% off coupon for your next purchase between Nov. 10 (or first, I can't remember off the top of my head) and 23rd...great time to stock up on Tinkerbell gifts if you are travelling with little ones...

This is an adults only trip -- don't feel bad for ds, he needs to stay at home to be in school. His grandparents are coming to spoil him for the week, and he's getting a 2-wk family vacation in Orlando at the end of August...

My DD7 is going as a "green"witch, not environmentally green, but actually with a green hat and tights and maybe face. Turned out pretty easy b/c two years ago she was the Wicked Witch of the West and we can reuse most of that costume. My DD5 is going as a tiger w/o ears or tail. They were sold separately and she said she didn't want them! Amazing, no Disney characters this year. :) We have run the gamut on the Wizard of Oz characters in the past - each has been Dorothy, and one Glinda, one Wicked Witch. We were also obssessed with that for a while. DD5 usually has trouble deciding and when in doubt, goes for the Belle dress she got when we celebrated her 3rd b-day with the Princesses at Norway. Still fits, a little short however! Always a good backup plan.

Our town sets no real guidelines, so we will go out on Halloween about dusk and usually after about an hour or so it's so cold someone (DD5 or me) wants to come in. We shut the lights off around 8.
