We're in 12/31 - 1/9 Whooooooooopie!!!!!

WELCOME TO THE PARTY!!!

The day is winding down for me! I read more about Toy Story Mania according to TourGuide Mike. He has a page about it, but it isn't included in his sample plans for DHS yet. I wonder if he'll add it soon.

Looks like my day might look something like this: TSM first, get a FP, then ride standby and whatever time the FP says to return. Then head over to RnRC and ToT, grab a FP for whatever one is earliest, see something else and return, get the FP set for the second ride, ride them both. Grab another FP for RnRC if possible. The rest of the park can fit in around those 3 rides.

Since we aren't planning to watch Fantasmic, I'm thinking riding while everyone else is watching might be a possibility. The park is open until 9pm, so it seems like there will be time to ride while the show is going on.

Someone else mentioned that during Fantasmic just a few weeks ago, there was a 5 minute wait for RnRC!

Don't know what we're doing tonight. I've got some e-mails to send...then it's like a game of Settlers of Catan and off to bed!

My husband and our best friend couple loves that game!! I still get so confused and I'm not very patient LOL!! Enjoy your evening and it sounds like you have a great plan for DHS!!

I bought 3 shirts off of disneyshopping today LOL!! I wonder if we bought the same ones...it wouldn't suprise me knowing us LOL!!

I also bought another gift card. To help keep the cost of the trip down so we don't get bammed in January with a huge bill I'm buying a gift card each month that will go towards food, souvenirs, upgrade to my ticket (I have to add a day with hopping LOL), and the hotel!! My version of the payment plan LOL!!

That is a great idea! I think we will probably have to do something like that for our next trip! This time we were very fortunate to receive some $$$ from my parents when they sold their house last winter! Our trip is pretty much completely paid for - we are putting away a bit of cash every month for tips and a few odds and ends! The girls are getting $ for Christmas from all the relatives so their spending money is covered. I think I will save a couple of my paycheques for our spending $ as we get closer to the date!

The tshirts I bought are a turquoisey blue with minnie in her classic pose with dark blue rings on the collar and sleeves! I also bought the girls long sleeved princess shirts and matching blue mickey sleeveless jumper dresses! I could have gotten one for myself too but I am not a huge fan of dresses! I always spend WAY too much money on disneyshopping when they have a sale!

We are a party of 13 going january 2 thru 9 (though i am only staying until the 7th ). we're staying at POP - so sorry ahead of time to all the POP people who see my sil - it may happen?! she has a lot of kids - so laundry happens

our 2 major gatherings are 1/4 coral reef 7:40pm and 1/6 luau at 8pm.

Hey everyone! Can I play too? I just found you guys. I don't venture to the Resort Board much since I am a DVC member but came over to check things out today. Glad I did.

We will be staying at the RPR @ Universal Dec. 29 & 30, POR Dec. 31 & Jan. 1 (unless my waitlist comes through @ SSR), and @ SSR Jan. 2 - 10th.

Our trip was supposed to include my oldest dd & dgd but found out this week they are not going to be able to go with us so I have to make some changes to our ADR's this week. After I make the changes I will add them here.

Most of the park empties in to Fantasmic. The lines on coaster & TOT are very short during that time (unless the park is crazy crowded). TOT is alot of fun at night.

Just got back from watching my little sis. We froze, but it was fun. Her team lost, but she got to play the whole game! She hasn't started and played a whole game since HS!!! I was so happy for her!

Sorry she lost, but I'm glad it was a good game!

I found out about Settlers from a friend who is German. They sell it in the U.S., too, (obviously). You can get it from amazon if game stores don't have it. It didn't seem like the kind of game I would like (read: complicated), but it was easy to learn how to play and we love it.

For all of you snow birds do you use the pools or water parks? We are coming in Jan too Jan 4-11 and we will be bringing my nephews who will be 11/17 they live in Croatia and have never been to a theme park or to the USA. Currently I have the AKL booked with basic dinning but could do the deluxe but would have to switch to Pop. We always stay there. But thought with 4 of us instead of 2 AKL would have more space and hot tubs. Never stayed there either. We are going to check it out in Nov on the way back from our cruise.

We do plan to spend time in the pool but not at a water park. When we went Christmas of 06 we spent several evenings in the pool. I was remembering, and checked weatherunderground . com for the history and there were at least 2 days that the highs were in the uppper 50's & lows in the 40's. There was steam coming off the pools when we were in the after dark because the air was cooler than the water. We just put sweats on over our bathing suits when we got out of the water and had a nice brisk walk back to our room. It was very refreshing.

okay, about this game, how do you pronounce Catan. Is it like Satan (ha!!) with a 'C' or Cat-an? Is it for kids or just adults or what? I have never heard of it & am always looking for family fun games!! Busy day today-parents came-haven't got to visit much-they were off to see a cousin in the hospital, uncle came and sil with 2 nieces Crazy day. So, I'll see ya'll tomorrow after church!!

Good evening Snowbirds! I had a nice 30th birthday party today... my dh even vacuumed and mopped after everyone left. My sister had a little too much fun with the "Over the Hill" themed decorations (If you're reading this- just wait til you turn 40 in a few years!!! ) I'm heading to Old Navy tomorrow to spend some gift cards while they have a big sale- hooray for new jeans!

I think a giant snuggly beach towel would be better, though. The resort towels are just bath towels. If you go swimming when the weather is only in the 70's, it feels chilly when you get out. Towels are bulky though. We are planning to bring some, but since we're driving, we'll just pile 'em in there

Hmmmm- good point. Maybe I'll find room to squeeze a couple big comfy beach towels in our car too!

Speaking of photopass, we should create a list of people interested in sharing the cost of a photopass cd!
I know I will be using them alot since I'll be bymyself too!

Pinkdiamond,Jenjolt,& Meghan I know that Shelley & a few others already have full photopasses set up. I wouldn't mind finding out more about them & doing a share maybe. I will be blunt I don't understand how the sharing thing works but maybe we can figure it out together. Let me know if anyone wants to explore this further.

I would do a share if people are down with that. I just wouldn't be able to be the lead because when it comes to computers, I'm horrible!

And Katy, I did see your pictures and I loved them!

Give yourself about 3 weeks for them to get it to you once you order it... if you accumulate any points after you order it all it takes is a phone call and they can add them right onto your card..... we love our Disney Visa points...

If money was not an issue.....what DW resort would you choose?

What would your dream vacation be?

Ohhhhhhhhhh... I think that I would like to try the new DVC villas at the Contemporary or the Boardwalk Villas so I would be close to Epcot.....

I am also a bit sick. I went to the doc yesterday and I have bronchitis. I feel a little better today but am still coughing and using my albuterol inhaler. I am hoping the antibiotic will kick in by the time I leave. Send some pixie dust my way.
