Snykymom- We go to Disney on the same day! Fun!
Okay.... sorry to do this again. Really, I've looked everywhere! I'm not trying to be lazy today, I guess I just can't read.
Where did it say something about free dining in December?
That would be so awesome if it went into January!
I just got ANOTHER Free Dining Pin e-mail, which goes through the end of the year, but not into January
I got one on Sept. 9th, and again yesterday. I'm wondering if that means attendance is really low through the end of the year, and possibly through the beginning of next year.
I have been wondering about the park hopper upgrade....I know they offered it last Jan...but this Jan if I remember correctly, One of the waterparks will be closed and so will pleasure island. Now that half the upgrade park hopper items are closed for refurb. it doesn't seem like quite a deluxe freebie. SOOOOO my thoughts are that maybe they'll have some other offer ( like free dining)?
I think last year one of the Water Parks was closed as well, and they still offered the upgrade. I'm hoping for something a little different, but we'll see.
Did one of you say that the January code came out at the end of October last year? Maybe we will find out new on Jan in a few weeks.
Yup... last year the code was offered to Disney Visa holders and Annual Passholders first, then it was opened to the General Public. However, the e-mails from Disney Destinations came out the middle of October.
I'm getting kind of antsy waiting, so I can make my final decisions about resort (we might change) and whether or not we do Dining.
Good evening everyone!
QOTD- I have only stayed on property twice; ASMu and Contemporary. I would probably choose Poly though. I've heard such wonderful things about it. As for dining plans and packages...I've never done either so I have no idea what I would pick!

I would definately stay for 2 weeks (or longer) and I would love to go with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. That would be so much fun!
I'm a little confused about something that I keep reading. People mention that they just accomplish as much as possible in the parks and they never get to see everything at one park in one day. This is so strange to me! In all of my trips, I've never missed anything that I wanted to see (unless it was down for refurb). I think that the last trip I went on, I rode every single ride in the MK in one day. We arrived at opening and were planning on staying through til Wishes, but it got rained out. We didn't rush around either. I'm just wondering how it's not possible to see everything in one day??? Maybe it's because we've never taken a midday break.
It also depends on whether they jump between parks, and how fast they take on the parks. We've never gone for rope drop and our touring is usually kind of sporadic, so we miss things by running to one end of the park, then back to the other. Also, on our last trip the lines were so long, there was no way we could ride everything. I think the Space Mountain wait was close to two hours, and Soarin' was probably closer to three.
I'm hoping for very light crowds in January. Also, since it will just be me and my soon-to-be DH we can tour the parks in a less convoluted manner. Especially, since he's not going to have any favorite rides yet. When I've gone with my whole family we all have different ideas of where we want to go, and then we like to meet up some time during the day. When you're constantly separating and meeting up and everybody has ridden different things, and some people don't want to ride certain things, so those rides get skipped, it's complicated.
Which is why I'm planning this trip well.
It is really quiet tonite! We have been on page 87 fo nearly 6 hrs! I think this is the longest (in time) page all week!
I had an eventful evening myself! Found T-shirts ON SALE on disneyshopping!

Spent a little more $$$ than I intended but, I think we are now fully stocked for our trip! I even found match matchy Minnie Mouse tshirts for me and my DD's!
Well, I guess I will say goodnight now! I plan to get up early and go to the GYM before it gets too busy! I will try to stop by and say good morning before I head out! Nighty Night!
I got 4 shirts, they came in the mail on Thursday I think... My Mom ordered them, and I got them when I got home on Friday. (Actually... my little sister found my brother's Disney gift card that he hadn't used from our last trip, and we used that)
I got a Kermit shirt, the turquoise Minnie, Steamboat Willie, and the Green Tinkerbell shirt. My Mom got Eeyore, we got the Pink Daisy Duck for my older sister, and my little sister got a few too. I don't remember which ones... I'm really excited to incorporate them into my wardrobe.
I bought 3 shirts off of disneyshopping today LOL!! I wonder if we bought the same ones...it wouldn't suprise me knowing us LOL!!
I also bought another gift card. To help keep the cost of the trip down so we don't get bammed in January with a huge bill I'm buying a gift card each month that will go towards food, souvenirs, upgrade to my ticket (I have to add a day with hopping LOL), and the hotel!! My version of the payment plan LOL!!
Your giftcard idea is really good... I might have to use it for future trips.
The Michael Phelps thing is tonight at 7pm. They start local coverage a little earlier I think but I don't know if it's national or not.
I'm bummed I can't make it to either of the Disney promotions in Philly or Baltimore

Although it doesn't seem like they are giving away all that much anyway so it's probably better I save my gas. I've been popping the balloons online every day and never pop anymore than 2.
I never uncover more than two either.
Yay - I'm another Settlers of Catan fan! Y'all are just about the first people I've "met" who know what it is!
okay, about this game, how do you pronounce Catan. Is it like Satan (ha!!) with a 'C' or Cat-an? Is it for kids or just adults or what? I have never heard of it & am always looking for family fun games!! Busy day today-parents came-haven't got to visit much-they were off to see a cousin in the hospital, uncle came and sil with 2 nieces

Crazy day. So, I'll see ya'll tomorrow after church!!
My family is big into Settlers of Catan, but it's really not a kids game. My youngest brother has been playing since he was around 8, but he LOVES board games. He doesn't have a problem sitting for hours, and he's actually pretty good at the strategy. Settlers of Catan can take 3 hours sometimes, depending on who is playing.
