Hi snowbirds!!! I am leaving tomorrow for my anniversary trip with my darling husband....when we get home then I can start getting excited for our january trip. until then, have a wonderful weekend.

Have a great time! :goodvibes

Okay, so this is where DH and I decided on for our one night get-away next month: http://www.7springs.com/

It's almost 2 hours from here. We are very excited. It's been so long since we've done anything without the kids. We are hoping to do some Christmas shopping on the way home too! :goodvibes

Good for you! :thumbsup2 It is so vital to a marriage to have time to yourselves as a couple! Just think - your kids will grow up and move away, but you will be with your husband for the rest of your life! I personally think that our marriages deserve a little TLC every now and then! Hope you guys have a great time! :)

SO I stepped into a piece of heaven today and went to a Scrapbooking Outlet store where everything was half price what it was marked...it made me so happy!! We won't discuss how much I spent, but I totally have a start on my Disney Album for January!!! LOL!!!

Yay! :yay: So glad you were able to something you wanted to do on your anniversary - even if it wasn't with your Prince Philip! Hope you had a great day!
just had to let my snowbirds know.....

this is my 300th post!!!!!

I couldn't have done it without y'all! ;)

Woohoo! Post Party! 300! Yay!

Pretty quite tonight, huh? Well, I'm just sitting here in Buffalo trying to stay warm. It is pretty cold out today and we actually turned our heat on! I'm still sitting on my couch under a blanket though. I must say, the laptop makes a pretty good heater!:)

Yup! It was a really cold day here too! Hats and mittens were very necessary! It did warm up a bit in the afternoon though but still pretty windy! That Northerly wind sure is brutal sometimes! :upsidedow

Did you do that awesome looking alpine slide thingie on the wheeled sleds?

If you're asking me - NO. I couldn't take the ski lift to get up there. I almost had a heart attack on the ski lift at Blizzard Beach, so I knew there was NO WAY I could handle the ski lift up the mountain. It went above the trees, for gosh sakes :scared1:

I was there actually for a big Polka Festival that they held up there every year. One of the things they do to generate business during the summer.

Wow. I guess everyone has a life on Friday nights! :) Well, I've enjoyed my night in. My heat kicked in great and I had a great big mug of hot chocolate. Yum!

I'm so excited because I'm get to see my little sister tomorrow! She goes to a college that's 4 hrs away, so that stinks. She plays field hockey and her game is only an hour away tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't rain tomorrow. I went to 2 of her games last year and it rained BOTH times. It's supposed to be around 60 and sunny so let's hope it stays that way!

Wow, hope you have a great time at your sister's game. That's great that you can go see her tomorrow - I'll keep my fingers crossed for decent weather!

I think I'm going to work for a few hours tomorrow. I am a print production manager, and my desk and under my desk is chock full of print samples of brochures, postcards, and LOTS of stuff. I barely have enough room to work. I'm too busy during the week to organize it, so I think I have to go tomorrow. DD is staying at her grandparents house, so DH only has to handle DS while I'm gone. DD is a handful - she doesn't like to entertain herself, so I have some freedom tomorrow while she spends time with Grandmom and Pop Pop :cutie:

Seems like the Snowbirds are usually less busy at night. I think it's going to be this way until the trip - family activities, holidays - keep everyone busier during the evening. Same on the weekend - I bet only 3 pages until Monday.

Have a great night.

Sharon

Great QOTD...If money were NO object...

I have no idea. I am happy anywhere, even at POP, where we usually stay. I suppose I would enjoy any of the Deluxes, and definitely would enjoy staying in the EPCOT area so that we could walk to EPCOT.

Gee,we think a lot alike!;) Yes, anything in the Epcot area would be awesome with me. Being able to walk to Epcot would be my ideal vacation. :cool1:

Having only ever stayed at the All Stars and Pop, I'm sure I'd be blown away by the Deluxes. (Okay, I did stay at CBR when I was 9, but I don't really remember it.)

Anyway, I fear that if I ever stay at a Delux I'll never be able to go back to Pop, whcih I am quite satisfied with! :scared1: Any one ever have this problem?

It is really quiet tonite! We have been on page 87 fo nearly 6 hrs! I think this is the longest (in time) page all week! :confused3

I had an eventful evening myself! Found T-shirts ON SALE on disneyshopping! Spent a little more $$$ than I intended but, I think we are now fully stocked for our trip! I even found match matchy Minnie Mouse tshirts for me and my DD's! :woohoo:

Well, I guess I will say goodnight now! I plan to get up early and go to the GYM before it gets too busy! I will try to stop by and say good morning before I head out! Nighty Night! :cloud9:

Our local town had it's Homecoming high school football game that my daughters and I attended. Burrr...it was cold out!:scared1: Frost is in the forecast and I will be dreaming of WDW.

I have a problem. If you all remember, I went to the Celebration Tour in Milwaukee on Oct 1. I got a neat little golden ticket (actually 3 of them) and now I have NO IDEA where I put the code on the website!:confused3 I have been on the website and tried a couple of locations. I even called a telephone number and that man had NO IDEA what I was talking about....

Sooooo, has anyone else been to the Celebration Tours and gotten the little gold ticket with the code in the inside? And if so, where do I put it???

I bought 3 shirts off of disneyshopping today LOL!! I wonder if we bought the same ones...it wouldn't suprise me knowing us LOL!!

I also bought another gift card. To help keep the cost of the trip down so we don't get bammed in January with a huge bill I'm buying a gift card each month that will go towards food, souvenirs, upgrade to my ticket (I have to add a day with hopping LOL), and the hotel!! My version of the payment plan LOL!!

So, I guess I am officially the first snowbird on Saturday!! Ha!! I am never on here this late,but....I just finished one of those tear-jerker-heart-rending books and I had to get out of the bedroom before I woke dh up.:sad1: wow!! all of you book-nerds need to get this book(s). I, as many of you know, am a huge Jane Austen fan. Well, at Lifeway a couple of months back, I found 'Just Jane' by Nancy Moser.AWESOME!! Very moving. So, I finally got 'Mozart's Sister'---oh my word.!!!! That book is unbelievable. Lots of the story is true-documented by letters the family kept and all that. She sacrificed sooooo much in her life and really tried to do God's will. If you don't like to read, you still should try this book. I love books, and many can turn on the tears, but few authors can do it over and over. Nancy Moser is one of them. I actually have the next one waiting..'Washington's Lady', about George Washingtons wife. But, I am not in any shape to start it this weekend.

QOTD(fridays): Def. a suite--is it Cont. that has a Presidential? Or maybe one in the Hawii @ Poly. Either one of those two. And my kids would do everything, we'ld take all the tours...eat all the food..... I am sure the suites all have :laundy: in the room right? That's a must, because I would stay for at least 3 weeks. No question about it. Days just to hang out in the suite, watch tv, fireworks, and order room service!!! I would have a mani/pedi day and dh would get massages.Wow, this really gets you wishing:wizard:

People would def. think we are nuts wouldn't they? Oh, never mind, they probably already do!!

I will try to keep up with you this weekend, but it's gonna be hard. My parents are coming in Sat.(well, today) and Mike is preaching Sunday, so we are going to be busy. But, I always make time for my snow-people!!!

Okie-dokie, I am going to try to go to bed now!!!

Hey, sleephead Peeps!:goodvibes I'm getting in a little :surfweb: time while I'm working. I've got a syllabus to write as well as a Sunday school lesson to finalize in Arabic. :scared: Yet, here sit...surfing the DIS! GAH! It's like an addiction!

So, hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!:rotfl:

Just Jane was an amazing book!! I too have Washington's Lady and I haven't started it yet!! Who has time to read for fun LOL??? But you are right Nancy Moser is a great writer I also am a big Robin Hatcher fan her book The Princess is simply timeless!!

Anyways I'm with you besides finally staying in Poly and taking along my best friend, my dream vacation would definitely include a spa day at the Grand Floridian. I would love a nice pedicure for my tired feet LOL!!

Hope all of you Snowbirds have a most wonderful weekend!!!

Go here
http://www.disneyparkscelebrations.com/tour-schedule.aspx
Click on the sweepstakes sign and put your info in. Then it will give you a space to put the code from your balloon.

The tour rolls through this area this week. It's in Philly on Wednesday and Balitmore on the 10th. I can't make either, unfortunately. I would love to go.

Just one more because that puts me at my 500th post :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm also getting ready to celebrate because in two days. Not only do I have a birthday, but I hit the 3 month mark.

No partying just yet. I will hold out until Monday.

I missed quite a bit over the last couple of days. Work is really starting to get in the way of my Dis.

Yesterdays QOTD: If money were not object, I would still be at the Poly but with a MK view OR at AKL in that super huge suite. I've never stay at AKL but would like to. I would stick with the basic DP because I don't want to be tied down to all of those TS meals. I would definitely pick up a VIP tour guide for a few days. I think we would stay for about 14 days, so that we have time to relax.
