Hi Shelly,

Here you go:

http://www.disneyparkscelebrations.com/tour-schedule.aspx

The website to start from is http://www.disneyparkscelebrations.com

That will take you wherever you want to go regarding the celebration stuff.

You've been kind of quiet today. Busy?? It's chilly here today and I guess that weather's heading your way.

Darn! The tour came to Toronto this past Wednesday! That's the closest location to me. If anyone was there, or is going to an upcoming tour stop, let me (and everyone else) know how it is.

I think the tour comes to Indianapolis next week. I work in the center of downtown, so hopefully it'll be close and I can check it out!!

If you click on the ballon on the main page it will bring you to the "Celebration Page". I saw the US Celebration Tour on the side by "New Entertainment" You might have to scroll though the ad for Miley's Sweet 16. That link will bring you to the tour homepage! I think I saw them going to Philly???? I know there was a PA stop!

I can't wait till mine next week!

Thanks for the info! They are coming to Pittsburgh on October 6th!!

Yep, busy here today. Cleaning and rearranging furniture. I think it is cold here now (cloudy and 68), I don't know why I can't seem get warm today. Supposed to be rainy all weekend. That will make for a miserable day at soccer Sunday.

I have seen Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King in Toronto. I loved them both! When I was in HS, my parents used to take my sister and I up to Toronto every spring to see a musical. We also saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Donny Osmond. I saw Phantom of the Opera in Toronto three times.

I saw Beauty and the Beast in Tampa and I loved simply loved Phantom!!

Its funny because my ringtones are all Muscial related and are as follows:

Text Message is I feel Pretty from West Side Story
Picture Sent is Beauty and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast
Regular Ring Tone is Phantom of the Opera from Phantom of the Opera
Alarm Clock Ring is Defying Gravity from Wicked

Love those ringtones! My parents have season tickets to our local theater here in Buffalo. They've had some amazing tours come through. I have only been able to go to one with them and it was Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It was very very good. I'm not sure whats coming this year, but I am going to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. We went when it came to Buffalo a few years ago, but this time we're taking DD along too.

Thanks for the welcome (& the early congrats! I can't WAIT to be done!)

Yay for the NYC snowbirds!!! I am also on jetblue out of JFK, I'm on the first flight out and the last flight back, to max my Disney-time!
Although that first day can be a killer. Last summer we took the 6am and stayed for Epcot EMH till 2am! :scared1: It was my cousins first time and they just wouldn't leave....talk about looooong day. I was up and on the run for almost 25 hours! :faint:

Are you going to the Celebration tour next week?

I wish I could, but I'll be out of town on business all next week. :( Would of loved to sneak away from the office for a few hours and get my mouse fix.

Ok have you seen We Will Rock You in Toronto????? If you haven't get in your car and GO!!!!

It's a musical based on Queen music. I saw it when I was living in London and LOVED it, I ended up seeing it 6 times. Since it's come to Toronto I've driven up from NYC twice to see it bringing my grand total up to 10 :goodvibes While this newest production is not quite as great at the Cannon production, it's still the best show I've ever seen. I mean the characters have names like Killer Queen and Scaramouche, how can you not love it?

As you can see when I like something, I tend to go overboard with it....disney, We Will Rock You........I better not start drinking, or rather, I should stop....mmmm now I want a Glow-tini. darn.

How many of you have been to see Mary Poppins on broadway? I would lllooooovvvee to go to that!!! My ds (who turns 13 in early Dec) wants to go to NYC. So, maybe we can swing a short trip and go see it. All my kids want to see the show.....Wonder how much a short 3 day trip would set us back???? Any New Yorkers want to help me out?

Too much!! Two nights, three days in a hotel would be well over $500. Show tickets for 4 usually run $100 each, depending on the show and time. Some shows go for $50 each. Everything in Manhattan is just SO expensive.

I would love to go see We Will Rock You. I absolutely LOVE Queen! However, I don't have a lot of time to go up to Toronto. :sad2: I'm going up next month to see the tour of So You Think You Can Dance, but I'm only going up for that show and coming back home. Bummer

Yea for 200 posts!! I feel like I will never get to 200 posts. I guess I will just have to keep at it! :)

Peach3es - sorry - too lazy to find the post to quote, but just wanted to say, "of course I watched The Office!" LOVE it. I got a little teary at the end...

Hi everyone! I'm here. I had the worst morning ever today! Got stopped by a train (literally, it stopped) and was 40 minutes late to work. Then, I pull Belle out of the car and she is covered in diarrhea from her neck to the back of her knees. So I stripped her down and hosed her off right in front of the church. (Meanwhile, she is laughing and trying to run off as if this is the most fun game she's ever played.) After that I had to head back home and wash her car seat cover. AHHHH!!!!! I want to pull my hair out!:scared1:

But, I'm here..... hope everyone is having a better day than me.:confused3

I'm so sorry about your bad morning. I hope you're doing better now.

It's sad, but I must admit, I've NEVER seen Mulan:confused3 Don't know why. It just never looked like one that I would be interested in. How horrible is that.

And...I have to add a few more to my list. How could I forget Pooh's Heffalump Movie and Dumbo. I just love elephants! My son just loved the Heffalump (poor kid got a love of elephants from me:rotfl: ).

My Daddy took me to see Mulan for my...10th? birthday. Then he took me to Disney On Ice for my 16th, which I just loved. I even conned him into getting me a magic wand. The little girl sitting in front of me said "Daddy, Daddy can I have a magic wand" so I copied her. My Dad also pretty much always gets me Disney merchandise for Christmas, Birthdays etc. almost every year. I think that's the one thing he has latched on about me, so whenever he goes shopping for me he thinks "Disney."

I've never seen Mulan either. :confused3 :guilty:

Mulan is definitely one of my favorites.

MAGGIED, do you mind if I "borrowed" your snowbird? I really needed a new avatar :)

I also loved the original "Parent Trap" movie! Never saw the remake. I like the part where they're camping with dad's girlfriend and convince her to bang sticks together to scare away the mountain lions :rotfl:

Also count me among the fans of "The Sound of Music". We had such a good time when we visited Salzburg and saw so much of the scenery. There are actually guided tours you can take, but we just did it ourselves.

I've been thinking about favorite Disney movies. popcorn:: I was a kid in the 70s, before VCRs even :scared1: , and it was a big deal when Disney would re-release one of the animated classics in the theater. Not like nowadays when you can watch them whenever you want! At that time they were making very few new animated films, but I seem to remember a LOT of live-action ones. "The Apple Dumpling Gang" was a favorite, as was "Escape to Witch Mountain". I haven't seen either of those in 30 years, so I'm not sure if they're still as good as I remember! I also remember "No Deposit, No Return" and, I think, one called "One of our Dinosaurs Is Missing". Does anyone remember these? Or am I just nuts?

Escape to Witch Mountain was one of my favorites as a kid. We rented it a million times, because we all loved it. I think we were all convinced that we had twins out there somewhere that would help us unlock special powers. We would rent Escape to Witch Mountain, Hocus Pocus and Robin Hood Men In Tights over and over again, because we loved them so much.

Oh my gosh!! I love P&P!!! I loooooove the one with Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet, and Emma Thomson. Love it! I had it on VHS and then got it on cd when it came out. I cry buckets everytime I watch it!! Oh when Eleanor and Edward are at the end and he says'My heart is, and always has been....yours" I nearly faint!! And poor Eleanor is choking and sobbing and laughing...Ah Jane Austen!! The Queen of Literature!!

I think you're a bit confused my dear... Sense and Sensibility has Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant, and Emma Thompson in it. P&P was most recently remade with Kiera Knightley, and a bunch of lesser known actors and actresses. There's also a 4hour long version from a few years back.
I love Sense & Sensibility too. All Jane Austen movies (and books) are amazing.

I've never seen Brother Bear or Home On the Range...oh and Wall-E. Other than that I've been pretty Disney obsessed my whole life, so I've seen
pretty much all of them. Those three are more recent though, and since I've been in college I've had less small children running around, so I haven't seen many of the Disney animated movies. I'm sure I'll watch them at some point though.

I love Musicals too! I'm pretty sure most everybody who loves Disney loves musicals. (I might be wrong) I never got to be in a musical in high school though. I tried out, but I never made it. However, we did do a Chorale Review of Broadway Musicals so I got to sing "Mamma, I'm a Big Girl Now," "I Feel Pretty," and a Chicago Medley. They were all so much fun to dress up for. The year before they did all Disney songs, but I wasn't in choir that year (I don't know what I was thinking)... They also made a trip to Disney (again....I don't know what I was thinking) I did get to go on the trip to New York and see Aida on Broadway.

Ok. This has probably been asked before, but how do you do multiple quotes per post??? Thanks in advance!

Boy, lots of chat since I was here last!

3 day weekend - yes, I knew about the Jewish holidays (I'm Jewish - doing all my baking for the holiday!), but I didn't know that NYC closed down! My town just closes school for the 2 days of Rosh Hashanah and the one day of Yom Kippur. For anyone else who celebrates, L'Shanah Tovah T'katevu!

Musicals: I grew up in a theater-oriented family, outside of New York. We'd meet my dad in the city after work and go to the theater! Dad would always get "two-fers" - coupons to exchange for 2 tickets for the price of one. Saw my first musical when I was 6 - "Oklahoma!" (no, not the original - I'm not that old! :rotfl:). Last one we saw was "Light in the Piazza" with music by Richard Rodger's grandson Adam Goetschal - absolutely glorious.

I've seen "Lion King" twice, "Wicked" twice, "Thoroughly Modern Millie", a lot of Steven Sondheim. Haven't made it to "Little Mermaid" or "Mary Poppins" yet, though. Lots more musicals to see!

There should be a little "+ button to the right of the quote button. You click that... and then you can continue reading and click as many as you like. I get a little crazy sometimes, then I don't remember why I clicked it in the first place.
