Monny I have the same red mickey T its hidden in my closet so that I can wear it once before DD steals it from me. Wal mart has a TON of Disney zip up hoodies right now in the ladies/teens section.

Okay, I got some work done and I'm back! I would love a zip up hoodie. I may actually go to Walmart. I never do, not a fan for lots of reasons, but I would go for Disney!!

That's funny - at my d's college, Halloween is week-long holiday (actually 1 1/2 weeks - starting on the Thursday before and continuing so it encompasses two weekends)!

As far as lanyards are concerned, I'm back at the drawing board. D has told me that she'll disown me if I dare wear one. I told her about the EMH problem of showing your KTTW, but she wouldn't relent.

So, all of you fellow Snowbirds, any ideas???

I so want to go to your D collage:worship:

Laynards..... hmm was thinking about them but afraid the little guy will lose his flinging it around etc. DH kept his & the kids KTTW in his cargo shorts pockets & I kept mine w/me. Will probably do the same. Easier for us that way. How about looking for a cute little "mini" strap purse that is easy to carry maybe with a seperate pocket just for the KTTW?

Is there some kind of clear plastic sleeve that could clip onto a belt loop using instead of a lanyard, one of those coiled stretchy cords with a clip at the other end? Yeah, that was really clear! Then they can either have them wrapped around the wrist or clipped on a belt loop. My kids had them with their annual passes to the Camp Snoopy Park at Mall of America. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Not a fan of them either but not much choice here. In the town where my coffeehouse is that is the only place to get stuff. What's sad is its cheaper for me to shop there for milk etc than to order from my food vendors. So I am there about everyday or so.

The hoodies I saw were Tink of course Eeyore & one more I think. Also I saw some at K mart the other day that had Thumper on it. I may have to get it. Not a fan of Snow White but he is adorable.

We have one day when we all wear the same shirt.

This is from Nov. '06 ( you could definitely see us where ever we went!)

Not to beat a dead horse.... but regarding the conversation last night....

I would just like to admit that I felt very left out when everyone was talking binders. I do not have a binder.:sad2: In fact, I don't know why I still talk to you binder-lovers. (Going off in my corner to cry now....)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Where did you choose?

You will have to wait until my update tommorow, Trixie, my love.:goodvibes

I feel for you being stuck with only Wal Mart! That's what my MIL has too. Everything else is miles away. Since I'm born and raised in MN, Target is king with me! (and Walmart is of course, the evil neighbor!) I would love a Tink hoodie! Thumper is cute too. I love when he says "that's why they call me Thumper" - his voice is so sweet!

I've outgrown mine and had to sort it. I now have the Disney bin of stuff to pack and I filled the hopechest with the Christmas stuff and I have a separate bag for the surprise car trip stuff to keep my kids happy for two days on the road.

:worship: :worship: :worship:

Anyone else making anything cute for the trip?

I'm going to make pillowcases for my DDs and our friends kids that are going to be there the same dates we are. I'm just going to use fabric, no iron-ons or anything, but it's a super easy pattern. I'll post a pic of one that I've already made (not Disney).

I have decided not to post a picture of my box - I think others will put me to shame. Plus I don't know how :) I do keep all the surprise gifts for the kids in it, plus my over the door hanger, guide books (when I'm not reading them), my terry flip flop slippers that I found just for this trip...

Is your over-the-door hanger one for shoes? If not, what is it and do you think it will work better?

Is anyone else old enough to remember in grade school (in the late 70s) when we were told to learn metrics because the whole world used it but the US and we were switching over? What happened to that? I wasted all of 3rd grade learning it!!!:lmao:

I think the US is the only country that doesn't do the metric system. I don't know why we don't just change!

Oooh! I'm going to check them out :magnify: when I'm there today, thanks!

I have candy bar wrappers so I can leave candy on the pillows of everyone in my group at night. We are DVC so no turndown or chocolates on the pillows.

I also made pillowcases for two little girls who just got back from WDW and had characters and their names put on them...then had character signatures on them!

I have birthday magnets with Disney characters for our door! and cling on for our windows!!!

Pictures, please???? popcorn::

I have made cute shirts in the past for my family... well everyone except DH... he wouldn't be caught dead in anything with a Mickey, a Pooh or a Tigger on it.....

That sounds so much better than "he wouldn't be caught dead in anything with Pooh on it..." :rotfl:

Oh, to whoever brought up scrapbooks/photo albums...
I am a scrapper too and I have done two disney trips in an album. I quit doing my kids individual ones because the Disney one was Way more fun!! I vowed to try to get caught up on their books before I started another vacation one, but jeez, we went on a Carnival cruise last year (and I bought the kit of course) and now we have another WDW and cruise trip coming!!! I better get to work - I have years worth to get through in three months!!! Plus all my DISing to keep up with. I hope work doesn't get too busy! it will interfere with my fun!

Another thing - we are bringing either a photo mat (you know that fits inside a frame) or pillowcases with Sharpies on our cruise. Apparently you can leave them with the desk and they have the characters sign and return to you before the last day. No lugging stuff around! So when we're at WDW, we'll just do pictures. We have many autographs from the first two trips anyway.

Bah..you know you couldn't ignore me and my huge 3inch binder LOL :rotfl:
OY...you would make us wait wouldn't you LOL

Wow that college sounds fun!
I can't belive she's so against a lanyard! I love them! Then again, I'm a big pin colllector so I use it to store all the pins I buy that trip on. The little pouch has always been a bonus. I use it to hold FPs, tickets, and a little sheet with the day's basic touring plan & ADR's. The fact that now you have to show the KTTW card only makes it better! Have you shown her all the cute designs. They have the basic one toned colored ones, and then ones with Mickey Heads, crowns, dragons, etc...
If she doesn't like the around the neck look, I have looped it through a belt loop. Sometimes it just gets to hot and heavy on your neck. That's how I carry Pal Mickey. I put the lanyard through his loop and then loop in onto my jeans.

They use to have the plastic card holders attached to a clip with a retractable string. This way you clip it somewhere and then you can put it out and show your photopass or easily store tickets. I hope I can find one of those, I think it would be perfect for this trip! If you can get one of those, you'll have the benifits of the plastic thingy without the landyard!

:lmao: I'm exactly the same way!!!! Of all the albums I have the two to get done first were my Disney Albums, followed by my High School album, and then the Alaska Album is done finally LOL (we moved almost 3 years ago) I have just started my Florida album and BAM...another trip...guess which Album is going to get done first LOL...you bet that Disney one!! LOL

If you find one online somewhere before trip time let us know I think those might work but I would still keep the little guys for him lol.

I am wearing one right now!! It has my work ID attached to it and it works as the door pass for the security doors. (I work in a courthouse). My plastic sleeve broke after a few years use, but the clip with the retractable string is going strong. Hey, maybe I'll switch my work ID for a plastic sleeve that I can put my KTTW card etc. in!!:yay:

I read someone was making t shirts for their trip. I was thinking of doing the same- any suggestions?

Anyone else making anything cute for the trip?

Hi Monny. I plan on making a few T-shirts. For DDs birthday, we're all going to wear matching shirts. Hers will say Today's my Birthday and the rest of ours will say Today's Lauren's Birthday. There's a fantastic Disney Clip Art web site that has character art for occasions, so there's some great B'day artwork to use. I"m also doing sweatshirts for us, probably hoodies, that will have something like one big Disney D, then say D..s (our last name), Do Disney January 2009. One of my graphic designer friends is going to do the logo. I may do a more, depends on whether or not I can find the time to do it.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

What is a hippster??

I don't really know. . . Some type of bag/purse, I think.

Another conversation I don't have much to add to!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, ladies... I would be happy to oblige.

A hipster is a Very Bradley bag. Vera Bradley is a brand of handbags and accesories. (Like Coach, Dooney&Burke, ect.) The hipster goes over your shoulder and hangs down by your hip. They are popular because they are cute, light weight and have lots of pockets.

Thanks for the info! I feel so much more included now!! :rotfl:
