All this talk of Disney bins makes me wish I had one! What does one keep in these said bins? I'm dying to see pics!!! My UG and Passporter are on a shelf on my nightstand along with some DVC info I've received in the mail. I bought a sling backpack for use in the parks and I've been buying up clearance t-shirts, tank tops and shorts for my DD like it's my job! I would like to buy a lanyard I saw online at disneysmilesstore.com. It has a clear window on one side. I've read they're great for holding photopass cards so you don't have to keep digging for it and taking it out for the CMs. I believe it's only $6.95. I told my DH about it and he got a little frustrated. He doesn't understand why I need to keep buying things for the trip. :confused3 I just like to be prepared, that's all.

The sad thing is that I actually have a chart on my wall with the equations and a list of conversions so all I had to do was look behind me LOL!!!

I'm glad to hear that you didn't know the conversion equation in your head!

I do believe I will take myself downstairs to the basement and take some pictures of my BIN! I am almost at the point where I need to transfer to a bigger one or else start another! :woohoo:

Woo-hoo!!! :woohoo:

Is it warmer in your basement?

The shivering smiley guy...if you click on the "more" button under the flower smiley, a new window will open. The poor freezing guy is toward the bottom of the first column, below the Disney characters, in with the nature section, I think.

This morning we were in the lower 50s and right now we are settling in on a very comfortable 74 degrees. And for you my Canadian friend..we were 12 degree celsius this morning and are now about 23 degrees celsius LOL!!!

It is a gorgeous day in Northern Florida!!!

Pardon my language, but....BITE ME!:rotfl: We've warmed up to 45 degrees here. :cool1:

I believe I'm on my 5th mug of hot chocolate!

I'm patiently waiting for my pics of clothes to upload to photobucket. Oh if only I would have taken the bin out before my dd fell asleep! Then I could take pics of the bin too.

I've outgrown mine and had to sort it. I now have the Disney bin of stuff to pack and I filled the hopechest with the Christmas stuff and I have a separate bag for the surprise car trip stuff to keep my kids happy for two days on the road.

Ok, I know I've brought up the Nintendo DS in the past, but I have one more question about it. What's the difference between the DS and the DS Lite?? We are definately going to get our DD one for Christmas, but I don't know what the difference is. Is the DS Lite just the newer version?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I read someone was making t shirts for their trip. I was thinking of doing the same- any suggestions?

Anyone else making anything cute for the trip?

Jen go to the VB website they have a ton of clearance stuff half off got my hipster in elephant print for 20 or 25 I think. Check it out!!:surfweb:

Yep, well it's not really for the trip, but for after. I make my own Disney photo albums. Well, I buy the photo album and cover it in Disney fabric. I just finished scrapbooking the last one. Now I need to get busy making the next one!

Well, in my bin I have:

T-Shirts (LOTS of T-shirts)
3 disney lanyards w/ zip wallets (princess for the girls; Mickey for Me. I asked DH if he wanted one and He looked at as if I had just asked him if he wanted to have his right arm cut off! :lmao: )
GUM - you can't buy GUM anywhere on Disney property!
Guide to the Magic - bought it for the girls (I also ordered the Birnbaums Official Guide but it hasn't arrived yet!)
Empty M&M tubes - for coins for pressed penny machines!
Glow sticks - for evenings in the park!
Travel sized items - shampoo, body wash, sunscreen, lotion etc
Airplane Fun items for the kids - books, small toys, etc!
Ponchos - for the possibility of Rain!
Many, mnay other things that I just can't seem to remember right now! Bad, because I just finished taking pictures of it ALL! :rotfl2:

I go to lunch and this thread has added ANOTHER 3 pages! We had a soup/chili contest where a bunch of people brought in soup and chili (duh) and we tasted and voted. I am so full I had to log on to DIS just to keep me from slipping under my desk for a nap! :) Is there a napping smilie?
How am I ever going to get any work done today? I have one thing to do and it's taking me 10x as long as it should. Hmmm wonder why? This is WAY more fun!

I have decided not to post a picture of my box - I think others will put me to shame. Plus I don't know how :) I do keep all the surprise gifts for the kids in it, plus my over the door hanger, guide books (when I'm not reading them), my terry flip flop slippers that I found just for this trip...
My DD7 has a DS and I don't know whether it's a Lite or not! (bad mommy) I will check at home and see if I can help answer your question Meghan. (did I spell that right?) But I would bet that before I finish typing this post, someone else will answer you! :)

I guess I have some company in the weather department with people from Upstate NY (Buffalo =Snow) and Ontario and WI. We can commiserate. Even though now it's a pretty darn nice fall day. I'd guess in the mid 50s now and sunny.

Is anyone else old enough to remember in grade school (in the late 70s) when we were told to learn metrics because the whole world used it but the US and we were switching over? What happened to that? I wasted all of 3rd grade learning it!!!:lmao:

Good Evening Fellow Snowbirds!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday!
Today was budget due dates in the office which meant a long line of students and an off the hook phone all day. YUCK! Anyways, I caught a minute before class and rehearsals to stop in and celebrate because........

I"M DOING THE DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE!!!!!!!!!
96 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!
Woohoo!!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

:pixiedust:

Hope everyone has a great night! I am now late for class, but what the heck a double digit dance was long overdue!

Wow! That is a super party!:cool1: You throw one awesome par-tay! I'm surprised a certain someone who shall remain nameless or his equally creepy twin brother haven't shown up yet! I'm waiting!

You have been chatty! I didn't even get through the last few pages! I was away at a conference all day and now I'm wiped out! More of the same conference tomorrow! AHHHHHHH! It's a good conference, just a whole lot of sitting! I could feel my bum just spreading and getting bigger and bigger!

So, that menu for 1900 Park Fare makes me happy we chose that place too! YUM-O! Oh, I love food!:rotfl: When I look in the mirror and see those few extra pounds, there is absolutely no questions as to why! I love me some yummy food!:lmao:

So, hope all is well in Snowbird land...I might actually sign off...or I might hang out a bit more and try to catch up! I miss my peeps when I'm gone!:yay:

I need someone to make me a t-shirt for this trip :rotfl: I just recently added 3 t-shirts to my closet.

I'm so excited to see what everyone else has in their bins...I know this is totally going to make me want to go out and buy more stuff. I'm already thinking I need to look into this laynard thing. I have a visor that has a lot of trading pins on it that I'm thinking I need to transfer.:rotfl:

Okay here goes... Let's see who else has the same shirts!:lmao:

T Shirts from summer that I've stashed away and a Toy Story Sweatshirt but I'm not sure if it will fit him by January- the sleeves are a little short. :confused3 I may just let him wear it now and if it lasts to Disney then I'll take it. I think I'll let him pick out a new one while we are there if it's chilly enough to need one.

Woo-hoo!!! :woohoo:

:cold: Nope! It is actually ALOT Colder in the basement! :cold: Took the pictures - now I have to figure out how to off load them onto photobucket! Might need DH's help with that!
A bit warmer now - just made some nice hot EARL GREY tea! mmmmmmm :surfweb:
Anyways - gotta go get the baby up and I think DD5 might have fallen asleep as well! Almost time to go pick up DD7 from school. The principle just called a few minutes ago to say that DD7 had fallen and scraped the back of her leg! She is okay, principle just wanted me to know so I could make sure to check it when she got home!
We have DD7 Girl Guide enrollment ceremonty to attend tonite until 8 so I will try to check back after that! Hope everyone has a fantastic afternoon and evening! :goodvibes

Oh Yes - about Halloween! DD5 is going to be a penguin and DD7 is going to be a blue Fairy Queen! We usually go out for treats after 6pm until they are too tired! Usually by 730 they are done! :)

Monny I have the same red mickey T its hidden in my closet so that I can wear it once before DD steals it from me. Wal mart has a TON of Disney zip up hoodies right now in the ladies/teens section.
