Oh, that sounds like fun too!! Get a book on cd for your return trip then! Maybe something about Disney!!!!

*in my best librarian voice* books on CD absolutely rock!

And, Shawna, I'm so glad you pointed out your under-100 day status because me tooo!!!!!!

:cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

[don't have to be bitter anymore, at least not until most of y'all get into the 2 month range]

The restaurant I'm looking most forward to is probably Le Cellier or Boma for dinner and Kona or Boma for breakfast.

Happy Friday everyone - after a gloomy rainy cool Thursday, we have a lovely cool fall morning which can mean only one thing...yardwork :sad2:

I just got a Southwest Ding between Pittsburgh and Orlando for $74 :yay: , but good until December 17  ! Oh well, it's getting closer, maybe next month I will get a January Ding! :wizard:

Debbieandroo---so glad you are under 100!!! :yay: :cheer2: Isn't it great!! I feel like we accomplished something!!

We need a library smilie. We don't have one do we? just a book or something,--us book junkies need it!!!!!

I loooooove the library! In fact, if my hubby buys me a book or a gift card to the book stores, for any special day, I get all choked up. Aaaahhhh-to have a prince that knows my heart so well!!! :love2: What a guy!!!!

Snowbird friends.... I don't know what to do.... I could do laundry:laundy: and housework..... I could rake the leaves in the yard,.,.... the garage is a disaster area.... I do need to go to the office..... or I could sit here and Dis along with a turkey on whole wheat pita and some grapes..........:surfweb:

DIS wins!!!!!!!!!!!

A library smilie - what a great idea! [I tried to make up a couple but they didn't work - oh, well]

Your guy does sound wonderful....and books always make the best gifts. I should know - I give AND receive a lot of them - some to other people, but most to myself. :)

Hi Everyone,

Trying to check in occasionally - work has been crazy busy, with the market fluctuations and all :scared1:

QOTD - How did I choose January - quite by accident. I had a conference in Disney World for 3 days in January. Never stayed on site, never been in January. WOW! Have gone January/February ever since. Loved the weather, the crowds, the prices - everything. Probably been Jan/Feb at least 6 times, loved it every time. Has been down in the 40's and up in the 80's - swim or freeze it's still wonderful because it's NEVER hot and humid.

Hope all you first-timers love it as much as we do! But not too many others or it will be crowded.

Sorry everyone! I'm slow in posting. This morning has been WILD at work. DH went to the ER last night and we found out that he has a staph infection in his armpit. Seriously??? I feel like I'm hanging on by a thread these days.

Bella---do you ever hear anything about people getting dogs from Dog Alley in Canton? We are supposed to go Halloween weekend--I would love to look there---but I am scared of bad breeders....What's a girl to do!!?!??

My little pumpkin was free - but I paid $500 at the e-vet last weekend, so she's not exactly free anymore! Sheesh!

As far as Canton goes, I have heard of people with good and bad experiences. My friend and her DH got a dog there and he turned up having parvo. They spent a forturneto keep him alive. Just be careful and make sure you get papers and proof of shots.

So I have had a lot of people ask me why I we are going to WDW in Jan. This is an easy answer for us: My husband does seasonal work so we can only travel from Nov - April. Nov my brother is getting married in Mexico, so that's out, and Dec - just couldn't leave all the family behind. So that left us Jan-April. Picked Jan because of crowds.

Anyways, just thinking why all the rest of the snowbirds picked Jan??

We picked January because I have a free week of vaction time. The church gives us a week off during Christmas or New Years instead of a bonus. Since I'm indespensible  I am staying aroun those two weeks to take care of things and getting the week after NY off when everyone returns.

Keep me posted about any deals for January. Our last 2 days we are there we are homeless. We are in a 1BR value at AKV but there was no availability at the end of our trip probably due to the marathon. We are thinking of trying Bonnet Creek for 2 nights (8th and 9th)...but I would consider something else if I got a pin code.

You can always pack up your sleeping bags and stay at our place. It might be a tight squeeze, but we can do it. :rotfl2:

Although, if I get upgraded to a suite, like I suspect I will  - there will be plenty of room for all of us.

Good morning Snowbirds! :cool1:
(gotta type fast 'cause it's almost noon here!)

distherapy, I LOVED your trip report from last time! Thanks for writing!

I had mentioned to DH that our next WDW trip would have to be before DS8 turns 10 and before DD turns 3 (for cost reasons, as I'm sure you caught on ;) ). So, before the end of May 2010. To my surprise, he said something to the effect of, "We don't have to wait that long, do we?" (He enjoys Disney but isn't obsessed.) So I started looking at when we could go sooner! :cool1: The boys have off Monday for MLK Day, and the following day for Inauguration Day (we're in the DC area). Then three days of school, a weekend, and then the following Monday and Tuesday off for teacher workdays! Three days of school in a stretch of 11 days--who came up with that schedule? :confused3 So the boys will miss three days of school, but I'm betting they won't be the only ones absent. Unfortunately an 11-day trip doesn't quite fit the budget, but we'll be at WDW from Monday through Sunday. And Sunday just happens to be my 40th birthday :wizard: , although the trip wasn't planned around that at all.

Girl what is up with G? Bless his heart--you know he picked it up at the hospital!!:) And as far as your puppy--she's sooooooo cute. I found one that will be ready at 8weeks-Nov. 8----solid white--precious. But the owner sent an email with some info about other pups and said" I have over 65 adults, so I always have puppies":scared1: Holy Cow!! How sanitary can that be--sounds like a puppy mill! I got a weinee dog for my boys when they were really little from a place like -----didn't end up too good:sad2:
So, I am now leary of this lady.YIKES!!

  Oh Soleil:hug:  I will say a special prayer for you and your DH today and hope all will work out okay!!! I know it hasn't been easy lately, but I know you have great faith and God has His hand in all that happens to us!! So you and your hubby will be in my thoughts.

Thanks Maggied, Shawna and Jen! I'm trying hard not to get impatient with God. I know things could be so much worse and I'm just thankful to have DH alive after almost losing him 2 years ago. I belive God can heal DH and I have just been crying out to Him all day to work a miracle iof physical healing in our lives.

Bellasoleil - I sure hope things get better for your DH soon. He sure has been through a lot. You guys sure need this vacation! :goodvibes

I tell ya, it's always something. DS7's blood tests came back negative. So that was a good thing. But he did fail his eye exam and now I have to take him to a pediatric ophthalmologist next month. :faint: Good grief.
