January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part I !!!

Hey snowbirds!! Ok, fellow Target lovers, I got the skinny on some goods!! At work today my job was sorting out all the new dollar spot stuff. There was some cool halloween stuff and the asian themed stuff is back but the most important was the TINKERBELL stuff!! Woohoo!! What I saw- dry erase boards, diaries, gel pens, socks, stickers and lip gloss. The boy themed stuff was called happy monsters. Not sure what it looks like (sorry) I only opened one tinkerbell box and it looks like the "cool" tink with the attitude. The set date on it was 9/21 which means the stores should have it set in the next couple of days. Go check it out!! Overfill those bins! The old stuff was 75% off in our store. Hope everyone is having a good day!

I just got back from Target and ours did have the Tink stuff out already, although no stickers were listed on the shelves, unless they came with tattoos, and the bin for those was empty. I got DD6 the dry erase board, it's really cute! We're switching rooms with her (long story), so her new room will be all-out Tink. She already had a bunch of stuff (lamp, comforter set, etc.) but now she'll have more. And I found Tink (and pirates and cars and princesses) peel off decals at Home Depot today. Yay!

I love Target! I was just there a few hours ago. I didn't check out the dollar bins this visit, but I did buy DD a new Pooh (stuffed animal). Yay Target!!!!

I went a couple weeks ago and they had some back to school stuff in the dollar section and got an over the door magazine holder that I can use to hold some of our toiletries since ASMo has such little counter space. Woo Hoo!

I am so happy you all shop at Target!!! I was always an avid shopper there before they hired me. But now I love them even more. I just celebrated two years with them. They have been the best company I have ever worked for. If you have older ones into Camp Rock then look in the bedding department. We had some of that on clearance as well. I will keep my eyes peeled for more goodies!!

We fly out of Philly to use Southwest. It is an hour from our house to Phila. Airport. We will have to keep out fingers crossed for the weather, because we have an EARLY (6:30 a.m.) flight to Orlando! Maybe we should consider staying overnight near the airport.

Staying over night in Philly sounds like a good idea to me!

The Camp Rock 'tween' clothing is adorable, too! I was almost tempted to buy a turquoise sweatshirt with that Jonas Brother on it. Then I remembered that I'm 27.

Went by my Target today and got some of the Tink stuff, for $1.00 no one can beat that type of deal!!

My husband was in the Army, but due to a respiratory illness he was medically retired a few years back. I loved SOG, it was a beautiful resort!!!

When I realized we had not scheduled to see Spectro, I rethought our plan. Then I booked our flight, which gets us into Orlando at 11:18am. I figured that would give us enough time to enter the MK, enjoy our early supper, maybe take the train ride at some point to show the kids everything they'll experience the next day, and catch Spectro that night!

My kids are starting to ask more Disney questions. What rides will we ride first? How many characters will we see? How many days until we go. They ask that several times a day. I figure it's time to start some kind of countdown calendar. I'm also keeping track of how many days until we hit US soil! Just 85 left! I miss America! It's been more than 4 years since we've been home...or at least what is home to me! Home to my kids is Palestine. In fact, the older two aren't so keen on spending 7 months in the US. I know they'll love it when we're there, but they don't want to leave their school and their friends. I can't blame them! They are nervous about studying in English. Right now they do all of their schooling in Arabic! I can't imagine being them. My kids are pretty amazing kids.

Disney has given us all something extra to be excited about!

I am about 30 mins. from the philly airport. traffic can be crazy around it. Ther eare many hotels right next to the airport. We thoguht about this if we fly jet blue.

No Target!!! You poor thing! I went to mine today but they didn't have any Tink stuff! Very disappointing.

We started one this month! I printed a calendar from the Disney website. My son liked choosing the characters to be on it. Here's the link if you want to make one...
