About the ADRs, I know for us we didn't have to change confirmation numbers when we switched from room only to a package. I would definitely check twice before going through the hassle of that.

I am confused too! Even though I haven't booked a package yet. But eventually I am going to and I really don't want to do anything to mess with my ADRs!!

Well I asked DS6 if he would want to go to Chef Mickey's again to see Minnie (for those of you that don't know, my DS LOVES Minnie!!) even if our next trip is not for awhile , and he said YES!! So, I cancelled Kona and booked Chef Mickeys for that evening!

So of course I tried again to make ADR's for after the 25th, but no such luck. She said to call back at the beginning of October and they should be able to give us a definite date to call back on by then. Also, I asked her if she needed my room ressie # when I booked Chef Mickeys and she said no. ??? And I asked about T-Rex and she said that they expect it to be on the DDP for 1 TS!! I sure hope she's right!! They aren't taking ADR's for it yet though.

I'm sure they'll be okay. I'm not really sure what difference it made, except that our confirmation number was different. But that's not how they store ADRs anyway, so I wouldn't worry.

We also made some extra ADRs for breakfasts, since we had 3 meals left on our deluxe dining plan. The CM was quite funny. When I booked Ohana for breakfast, she said, "Oooh, I love that one! You'll get to meet Lilo and eat some yummy eggs!"

Then I made an ADR for Whispering Canyon Cafe and she laughed and said, "Oooh, that's another great one! You'll have fun there!"

Then I made an ADR for The Wave, and she said nothing. Heh. I'll take that as a bad sign.

One of its good points is how well its hidden - maybe your CM just hasn't been there yet....looks pretty yummy to me....

Sorry if I've confused people about the confirmation number stuff!!!

This is what happened when we called on Sunday.

We called and changed our room only reservation to a package, for our stay in January. The CM said that because we now have a different reservation, we will need a new confirmation number. She gave us our new one. She also emailed us our updated details and will send out a hard copy in the mail.

She then asked if we needed to make some ADRs, and I said we had already made them. She said that since our confirmation number is now different, we would have to discuss what to do with a Dining CM. So she transferred us.

The Dining CM went through every dining reservation we'd previously made, just as though we were confirming them. She checked every one with us, and they were all correct. While she was doing this, she changed our confirmation number on her details. I didn't actually have to change anything.

Maybe we didn't have to do all that, but it was quite nice to have all our reservations confirmed anyway.

It really wasn't a big issue.

Hope that clears some of it up!? You may or may not have to do the same thing - I really wouldn't worry either way. As long as you have all your ADR details, you'll be fine.

Regarding dining reservations, because of the slowdown in the economy, Disney probably is doing more "selling" when people book - I know the CM really tried to sell me the dining plan when I called for my reservation.

The WL person probably looked at the confirmation number and saw that it didn't have any dining associated with it, so they wanted to sell you dining.

It probably wouldn't hurt to change the confirmation on the dining reservations just in case somehow, somewhere a computer glitch does a search on the confirms, sees that yours doesn't exist anymore and wipes them out

I just checked my counter and I am at 4 months and less then 2 weeks! WOOHOO. AT 3 months I have a cool countdown chain (from someone here on the DIS) we will do. getting close! It is amazing because we have planned this trip forever. We started with 24 months and now are down 4 months. I am way excited. Hoping flight prices start to drop. I was going to get tickets months ago and am so glad we did not as that airport does not carry Delta anymore!!! So I am waiting a bit longer to see what happens in the airline world.
