Hello Snowbirds from the land of Oz... I just spent an hour catching up on what you've all been up to - we've all had the flu so haven't been feeling up to

Funning thing is you're all counting down to the kids going back to school, while I'm counting down to our September Holidays (2 week break, but 3 weeks to go before it starts).
First up - Shelley, can you please change my ADR's
Jan 4 - Boma AKL 6.15pm
Jan 7 - nothing here anymore
Jan 8 - Jiko AKL 5.50pm
We deicided the restaurant we were most looking forward to eating at was Jiko, and would much rather spend our anniversary dinner (& $$$) here than at CRT, which is why we re-arranged things. I know I left my heart in Africa when we came back to Oz to live, so am really looking forward to our meals at AKL, (if only the budget stretched far enough to stay there - I wish!!!). We still have a lunch ADR at CRT on our final day for my DDs, so us girls can dine in the castle and feel like princesses for a day (with my lovely prince charming beside us).
Here's some pictures for all you All Star Snowbirds!!
Where at ASMo is RC parked? We're spending our first night there as my girls (even though they're 9 & 11 now), are still big Toy Story fans. In fact Woody & Jessie, who the Disney Fairies delivered to our rooms when we were there way back in 2001, still sleep with the girls each night. Woody actually just got a new shirt as the sleeves of the original became unrepairable - he now has a very snazzy red checked shirt, complete with gold star buttons, custom sewed (in place) to fit! Jessie's going to need a new shirt too before our trip I think.
Hey I just looked at my ticker and realized that -
I am going to Disney in 5 MONTHS!!!!!
As of tomorrow, we only have FOUR months to go!!!!! It all seems a bit surreal actually. Gotta go and arrange new passports for us all soon - our others were issued through the embassy in South Africa the 'old fashioned way', so don't have the bar codes etc. If we don't get the new style ones, I know we'll be held up going through immigration and that's the LAST thing I want.
I'm off now to go & swallow some more cold & flu pills so I can get thru the day. Then reading with DD9s Yr5 class - will be great fun as it's book week here and today they got to go to school dressed as their favourite book character (a change from the usual school uniform). DD9 went as a 'fairy school dropout' (funky jeans, sparkly top, multicoloured hair, wand not fully charged, and wings showing in full view of humans - oh the horror

). DD11 went as the 'Imperial Dragonkeeper' from her favourite book series(i.e. chinese tunic, pants, hair in bun and a sword & fan in her sash). After that it's baking time ready for DH's 40th birthday party tomorrow. Whew!!
So have a good day Snowbirds one and all.
