WOW that's a great deal!! :goodvibes Yes, those kids t-shirts at WDW are at least $20 each. But I usually end up buying them each one anyway just because they say Walt Disney World on them!! What can I say - I'm weak when it comes to Disney!! :rotfl:

What a relief! We're not alone. I didn’t want to say that the kids will still get shirts there as well. One with their favorite character, one with their favorite park, one with 2009 on it....etc. etc. etc.:rotfl:

One question for all you veterans out there: When would you recommend buying the plane tickets?

I bought our tix in very early June! Like Shelly said, I saw a price I liked and I went for it. I had watched prices for weeks, spotted a sale, and was so glad I did. My best advice is to check every day! I used sidestep.com.

Congrats on the extra day!! :woohoo: An extra day at WDW is always great!!

Where are you staying?

As far as the airline tickets, I would get them as soon as you see a price you can live with. You never know when they will go up. I just paid $85 each way because that was the lowest I had seen them in awhile from my airport. I hated to do it because last year I only paid $74, but I was afraid they'd only go up.

Good luck! :wizard:

Thanks! We're staying at the Pop and requested the 80's building. I'm just so super excited to go! At first I was going to wait on all the airline tickets, just in case I couldn't afford the full trip (have to cut off a couple days). I just graduated from seminary in May. When I decided to switch to the four year Master's program to become a Pastor, I promised myself I would take my two sisters to Disneyworld, no matter how broke I was! I'm so excited not only that it is happening, but it looks like we'll be able to do the full 9 days! pixiedust:

Ticket prices are really good right now, at least for my flight. I may have to consider trying to buy them very soon and wait on making one of our payments to Disney. We'll see!

It looks like your going around the same time as us. Where are you staying?

Congrats on graduating from the seminary. :goodvibes

We will be at CBR the 20th - 27th! Can't wait!! :yay:

I may be a bit late with this thread, but I'm pretty new to this board!

My FI and I will be in DW from Jan. 10-17th, for our Honeymoon! :lovestruc

We're staying at the WL...and I just made a bunch of ADR's yesterday, but left everything at work. My memory's not that great, so can't remember all the times!

I've been to DW in December and this is my favorite time of year to visit! :yay:

WELCOME Amberleigh!! :goodvibes It's never too late to become a Snowbird!!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! We look forward to chatting and planning with you.

Hello fellow Snowbirds!
I've been working with my Disney itinerary and had a quick question. On Sat. we'll be at HS until dinner where we will head to EPCOT to eat dinner followed by illuminations. Isn't there a boat you can take from HS to EPCOT or am I just making that up? If so, would the boat ride be quicker than the bus?
For those who've stayed at the POLY, how long is the monorail ride to MK? EPCOT?
Last thing, I'm sure you have all seen this buzz on the disboard but just in case I wanted to say something so everyone would know...apparently there is a Tink meet and greet coming this year! Which means if they keep it for a while it will be there in January when we are all there!!! I'm so excited about this :cheer2: Thanks for all your tips!

Yes you can take a boat from HS to Epcot. It is a nice relaxing ride. The monorail isn't from POLY to MK or Epcot isnt' that long however if you have ADR's allow enough time just case the monorail is very busy.
I would love to meet Tink.

Congrats! I am staying at WL also from 1/11-1/16...well at least at this point we are staying there...I'm hoping for an upgrade to CR with a discount code so we can be on the monorail.
Good for you making all your adr's I've been procrastinating a bit since my dh doesn't really want to be that tied down to plans each day.

Finally!!! I've had the worst time trying to get logged back in here!

I just called Disney on Friday night to add to our ressie for Donald's Safari cause we needed 13 not 9 and got it! I'm so happy! We'll all be at separate tables and the last 4 check in 5 minutes later but what's 5 minutes? We will all get there together and check in together. YIPPPEE! I was so worried I couldn't get it. When I first called they said they couldn't get me 13 at the same time so I did 9. They never mentioned a time 5 minutes later for the rest of my party!

I'm getting so excited!!

Oh, does anyone know when Disney will put out the 2009 planning dvd? I just received another 2008 one. I was hoping for the newest one but we still have 4 months and some weeks so maybe hope?

Well, off to take care of our late dinner tonight......everytime I get stressed I think or plan/read about our trip and it helps so much!

Thanks! I didn't even know that was a possibility :) We will have to give that a try. With all the eating we do at WDW a good little walk will be good for us!

Just read a piece of trivia that reminded me of you. "There are enough mouse ear hats sold in Walt Disney World each year to top the head of every man, woman, and child in Pittsburgh." Interesting.
