We are going to be there the 18-21st which is the Holiday weekend, is there any special events that are going on. We went at this time a couple years ago and it was such a great time to be there we hardly had lines (We didn't take our kids then either so that probably made a difference as far as what we did) I am just trying to prepare for what we might be dealing with that weekend for crowds.

Bummed that we don't get to use the discount, but still excited to go!

My parents used the new code for their Jan 25-30 stay at the Yacht club concierge level. It saved them $304.23 and gave them PH + water parks and more to add to their MYW tickets.

For those who are getting sold out codes, my experience this week might help you out ...

It took me FOUR seperate calls to Disney Reservations trying to apply a discount code but I finally got one.

We are staying WL the last week of January. And as a Canadian, discount codes came out two weeks ago. I called mid-day on the day the codes came out and was disheartened to discover that it was not available for the dates/resort I wanted. Then someone on the Canadian board posted that "Disney was having problems" so I hoped the problem included me and tried again. Nada! The next day -- a glutton for punishment -- I tried one last time.

During that last call I was frustrated with the CM: they spoke heavily accented English and were difficult to understand; they kept putting me on hold with no warning for long periods of time and sounded horribly confused about everything I asked. I considered switching resorts to get a code for about a nanosecond but abandonned that idea because I couldn't bear to deal with this particular CM any longer and in the end I really wanted WL. I just figured at this point to be happy with what I had.

A few days later I misread something on this thread and called to try to apply what I thought was a new code (in actual fact it was just the Disney Visa code). Two seconds into the call with a very friendly and eager CM, I realized the mistake I had made and asked that he check for the Canadian code one last time for me. Ummm ya - the code is sold out for WL woods view but is available for WL - courtyard view. Do I mind upgrading if it means saving some money and getting some perks (like Waterparks) that I didn't orignally have. I told him I didn't care if it meant I was stuck looking at a brick wall. Seriously I don't.

So I saved $163. Not a fortune but if I found it lying in the street I wouldn't leave lying there.

He also told me (in a read between the lines kind of way) to try back today because the general codes will be released then and while I might not get a better deal it wouldn't hurt to try. Unfortunately woods-view bb still was not available and while (having learned my lesson), I could have gotten the deal on woods-view Queen rm. (and saved an addition $162) I decided that we didn't want to compromise that much.

I'm pretty pleased though with my initial savings even though its piddly. With our dollar doing what's its doing I've picked up another $100 in savings there to so it's adding up.

Yesterday, I received an Annual Pass email announcing an AP rate in January and got an Annual Pass rate of $99 per night at the POFQ during Marathon Weekend When I initially made the ressie, the rate was $149.

Now I can use the cash for food and bevvies

January 18, 19 and 20 are blacked out for the code, If your vacation hits those dates they will not become available.

Hmm, I just checked through the travel agent web portal and it says there are rooms available with the discount for Jan 1 - jan 7....6 day hoppers and dining.... 1,384.80....is that your price Shasta??? When you have a chance have your agent check again, because at this moment, it is.

I applied the code to my existing resrv. for jan. 18-21 @ the WL no problem. It showed up as a $125 discount w/ free park hooper and water parks. It really does seem to be who you talk to. I'd call back for sure!

I was told that there was no new confirmation number and I haven't gotten the e-mail confirmation yet, but the new price is already reflected on my intinerary info on Disney.com.

Yes, the same is true for my resrv. They have actually sent mine 3 times, but I still have not received it. I'm going to quit worrying about it b/c it showed up on-line with the adjusted price.

The codes are for disney packages that include a resort stay inside disney.

There are discount ticket brokers, but be cautious when buying from vendors other than disney.

OK I'm not really sure about these discount code so I'm going to ask a newbie question.

Currently we are booked for Jan 1-6 at POP/5 day w.PH. +dinning.

I called to see if I could get the free 2008 ticket upgrade, which I assume would be free PH + WP, is this correct? I gave them the ZVY code but she said it was not accept, what am I doing wrong, or how can I get a valid code?

Mine has shown up on-line as well. I still haven't received an email confirmation. The only problem is on the new reservation, for ticket type, it says ERROR. Has anyone encountered this?

Wanted to share my savings as well... called at 7 a.m. to add the code to an existing reservation.

If your hotel is not showing up, it is sold out for the code or just sold out.
So you would have to change resorts.

And yes...my ticket type says error online - its a glitch. I did ask. Also my blue email confirmation took nearly 24 hours to show up after I switched!

ZVX - Magic Your Way Package
ZVY - Magic Your Way Package with Dining
ZVZ - Magic Your Way Package with Dining and Wine Add On
ZWA -Magic Your Way Package with Deluxe Dining

As I read it, you should use ZVY. But I believe some folks on this thread have had trouble with the early Jan dates being sold out? I guess there are only a limited number of rooms with these discounts.

Yeah Us! My TA from Pixie-dust is awesome! I ran downstairs at 6:30 this morning and there was an e-mail from her confirming our discount for our trip from Jan. 24-Feb.2nd. Our plans are as follows:

2 adults, 2 children (14 and 9)
Pop century
dining plan
8 day park hopper with extras
$2966.96

We saved a little over $200, and we get the water parks, disney quest upgrade! Yeah!

Now I can't wait for January

You would use ZVY for MYW + Dining. When you went online, the rate was less because the code was only valid for ASport with your travel dates. You could just keep checking to see if any rooms open up at POP or try any of the other values to see if there is anything else available witht the code.

Just got home from work and there was an e-mail from my TA. I haven't done all of the calculations but there seems to be decent room discount in there too...not just the water parks upgrade.

Thanks to everyone who finds out about these codes and posts them.

I checked the board last night, e-mailed the codes to my TA so that she could get on it first thing this morning and volia....$$$$ back in my pocket!

Just wanted to make sure you're aware that Blizzard Beach will be closed for refurbishment during your stay. It's scheduled to be closed 1/6 to 3/8 Typhoon Lagoon will be open so your family can enjoy a water park.
