January 2006 List- Who's Going

Count us in!!! We'll be surprising DS for his 3rd birthday! We will be there 1/7 - 1/13.

Hope to see lots of lime green!

We (Terry, Kym-sn is homeschooler, myself, Richard and David) leave January 17th for Florida. Get there on the 18th and stay in Amelia Island until the 21st. (Lucky seminar planning ) Stay some place (most likely a Disney hotel) on January 22nd and then move into the house Monday, January 23rd. We will then be joined by 6 other people and the whole gang will leave February 3rd and will arrive home February 5th. All of us have been on the DIS at some point or another but I am not sure of all the screen names so . . . And yes, we will hit Disney at least once a day from 1/24 to 2/2. What can I say? WERE ADDICTED!

That is so funny, we are homeschooling family going to WDW from January 23rd to February 3rd. How old are the kids going?

Not only do we homeschool but the family that will be meeting us down there homeschools 3 of their 4 kids. Roll call has me\Kathryn (18), Alexander (15), Richard (14), Tucker (13), David (10), Makayla (7) and Bennett (4). How old are your kids?

Hi,

::sigh:: Would you please take us off the list. I will be cancelling my trip (first time I ever had to do this). But I must look at it in this light. If I cancel my trip this time, I will be able to pay off my car 6 months ahead of time, also, pay off two credit cards. I have decided to take off the year 2006 and not go. But we are planning a trip in 2007, and I will start saving now for it. In fact, a savings account is being set up for it next week! So, for 2006, I am going someplace I've never gone before and I'm very nervous about going. I've been so spoiled by Disney, the cast members, the knowledge of the parks and resorts, and just the feeling that it is home, that going to Myrtle Beach is a little nerve-racking for me.

Those of you going, please have a great time. Take great pictures, write great trip reports. I'll need it in this coming year!

Thank you for letting me just get my sad feelings out. I know it's the best for myself financially, and well, Disney is there, and missing it for almost 2 years will make me appreciate it even more the next trip!

My kids are Danny 14, and Jordan who is 12. Both boys. This is the first time they will be able to go off on their own. Do you think they may want to hang out as a group? Danny is not into rides, but Jordan is.

We have tried to invite a few of their friends, but as the boys get older more kids are going back to public school. It's impossible to have any of their friends join in January during school

We homeschool too! My boys are Jeff (almost 13, but he's opted to stay with his Grandma this time), Corey (almost 12, he's going), and then my DD, Emilee (3). I love being able to go on vacation any time we want. (We'll be there January 22-30 btw.)

We also tend to fly by the seat of our pants so we don't know where we will be until we are there so meeting up would be hard. If you will have computer access durning your trip I might be able to tip you off . . . or if you have your trip layed out I can see what I can do.

Since we've gone so many times to the parks, we also don't have a set itinerary. Danny and DH are going golfing at the Palm course one day, going to Universal and the Kennedy Space Center this trip. We're really only going to the park 4 times in our 12 day stay. I know we will be in Epcot on Saturday 1/28 because we have dinner reservations. I think we will be at MGM on 1/24, AK on 1/25, hopefully BB on 1/31 and MK on 2/1.

If any of those dates works for you or jcemom's maybe the kids can get together. I know my oldest enjoyed that when we went on the 14 day cruise through DCL. If not, I hope everyone has a great time!
