I can't wait to eat at Palo for brunch. Brett, do you know when you find out your restaurant rotation? I have been combing the boards here and there doesn't seem to be an answer. Also, when do you think it brunch is best, day 2, or 3? Thanks,

Cheryl, sorry to get back so late, been working 12 hr days the past couple weeks, also weekends.

We found our rotation from our TA, we had early dinner at 6:00, which was the LAPLAPL rotation, which was great because at disembark we had breakfast at Lumieres, which is next to the exit, and when we saw the crowd that was lined up leaving, we got up and left, and were through customs in 15 min.

As for Palo brunch, we went the second day, and thoughly enjoyed it!

We've kindof changed our thoughts about St. Martin...I think we might do the zipline thing. Looks and sounds like fun.

I have been sneaking around the disboards looking for ideas and ways to make our doorsign and also one of the fish extenders...they looked cool.

Does anyone know what date we arrive in St Thomas? I think its the 23rd Jan but just want to be 100% certain as I want to charter a daysail. Also, any idea what time we have to be back aboard ship and what time it sails?

Che I still havent heard anything from Cathy, do you know if we get consierge service as part of our package? it would be great to be able to start booking things 105 days out

I need to start thinking about gift bags, are we going to have some sort of DIS list of who is taking part in the gift bag swapping so I know how many to orgainse and how many fluffy penguins to buy?

We do indeed arrive in St. Thomas on the 23rd and we set sail at 4:30 PM

The other night I saw a documentary on the Falkland War and I was wondering....do you have ANY trees on the islands???

Brett at the last count I think we had 4 tree's

There are no native trees, the ground is mostly peat bog. There are a few around town that have been imported, but they all grow at an alarming angle, about 45 degree's, due to the constant gale force Westerly winds.

Thanks for confirming the date for St Thomas, I am now a little worried that a full day sail wont be possible due to the timing issue, the captain has said we will be back at red hook by 3.15pm and then its a 25min taxi ride back to the ship, but if we are caught in traffic or running late then I dont want to run the risk of the ship going without us!

Gixer, we are chartering a day-sail on St. Thomas. There are enough of us to be the only ones on the boat, so they are tailoring it for us, so therefore we should be back in time. When you said you were looking to charter, do you mean that you would be the only one's on the boat? Because if so, I am certain the captain would be able to accommodate your time.

And no, I haven't spoked to Cathy... ...so I don't know about the Consierge service...but I am hoping that that counts so we can book earlier.

We are booking with the "Stormy Petrel/Pirate's Penny". A long time ago we went to St. Thomas for 11 days and we were lucky enough to go on a day cruise with this group and I called them up and asked if we could do an all day thing with them if we had enough people, that way, we wouldn't have to worry so much about time lines. I would imagine that these excursion people know that the cruises leave and do everything in their power to get us where we need to be on time. I hope..

I got an email about our vow renewal this morning, it said that Cathy was off on vacation until mid August but the price for the renewal package has been released and its $1500 and did we still want to go ahead.

I have just emailed them back so hopefully it will be added onto our booking by the end of today

Yeah for you. What day are you requesting...I forgot and that was a few pages back. Also, I was on another thread and found that they serve this drink...the BBC...bananas, Baileys, and Colada (Pina). Greatwhite and I agreed that it would be a great breakfast drink!!!!

Its 102 here in Goldsboro, without the heat idex....YUCK

We are finally home from 3 weeks of travel, looking at colleges and a trip to south Florida to see family( I was NOT allowed to go to Disney so sad).

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. A few more weeks till the boys are back in school.

Congrats on the Cat 3. We have been considering adding ourselves to the waitlist, but the added cost scares the daylights out of me.

So has anyone stepped forward to be in charge of the DIS Bag exchange? If not, I can be the keeper of the list.
