January 17, 2013 DREAM Cruise becomes a Reality

Yeah!! So glad you made it. No worries on the FE...we haven't made ours either yet!!

How are the crowds and weather?

Well the weather is a bit up and down. A few days have been cold by Florida standards, the cast members are wearing wool lined coats. Mainly it has been very pleasant, not boiling hot but not cold either. Though we are from Tasmania which is close to Antarctica so we are used to cold weather and are wandering round in tshirts and shorts while others are wearing polar fleeces.

The crowds up until Christmas eve where brilliantly low. But on christmas eve all that changed. At around 11am each day the crowds make it quite difficult, but the parks are opening at 7am so we go for the early morning, do all our favorite rides and then just watch shows after lunch and return to the pool for fun and relaxation. The thing we notice is that most people aren't leaving the resorts until after 10am so if you are an early person you can get a lot done.

Sounds like you all have it down!

Glad to hear the weather is good for you. I bet the Floridians are giving you guys some weird looks as they are in their "winter" gear!

Sorry, Lori but this is my first time cruising so I don't even know what a Cabin Tour is (except I guess it's where you can view different cabins to help you decide for your next trip?)

My mother and boys and I are on this cruise!! This is my boys amd my second disney cruise and my moms first... We are excited to be joining! I have been meaning to join this thread for weeks now, but finally was able to find my login info

Please let me know if the FE is still open.. the kids and I had a blast with this our last trip!

My boys are 5 and 8 and are looking forward to all there is to do and to meeting lots of new friends!

I'm sorry but FE#2 is closed. However you are still welcome to come to our DIS meet on Jan 17 at 3:15pm, location TBD but prob Club 687. This is for the FE families to review anything FE related, but also for families to meet and greet.

I'm sorry but the FE closed on Thursday. However, you are welcome to join our FE DisMeet on Jan 17th at 3:15pm at TBD (probably Club 687)...more info to follow. We will be reviewing any last minute details for the FE and also just meeting one another.

Woo hoo! My husband put together a great fish extender using a duct tape idea we found on disboards. I've also got all of our gift bags ready to go. I mixed up gifts from the practical to the fun and for the young to the young at heart. Even managed to throw in a little local flavor from our area of the country. Hope you guys like them! We are soooo excited now!
