This will be our third DCL, 2nd time on the Dream.

Just debating that topic (FE) ... Not sure if I have time to create crafty items between now and then - or to get us a fancy pouch to hang on the door! Love the idea ... Do the items given out have to be Disney-related?

You can just hang a canvas bag or similar as your FE. As for gifts, they do not have to be Disney. I am giving Disney and beach theme items, personally, but gifts vary. Is there something in your hometown that is unique? Do you do something crafty? Since you've been on DCL befor, what were neat things to have that you brought or forgot! Maybe give those.

Right now there are 7 families in FE #2. Cutoff is Dec 27th.

Also if you provide your family info, I'll add to first post.

We are a family of four - DD turning 14, DS turning 11 (on Sail Away day!) I won't be able to be terribly creative - but will do something Canadian ...

I know kinda how you feel. I just joined this group this week. But I love getting the most out of my vacations. So I joined in. I don't know if the items have to be Disney related, but I get way to involved with cool stuff like this, I Could share my ideas with you. One idea I can give you is; take anything round, Frisbee, candy container, mint container, etc and attach mickey ears to it. For the Fish Extender it's self, when I googled it I saw some that were just pencil cases (cloth kind) and hung them together and then decorated with disney stickers. Sounds pretty simple. Hope this is encouraging to you.

We drove through your awesome country last year, and my boys bought these cool candy/toy items. It was like a chocolate candy egg with a toy on the inside. We loved them because that is not something we have here in the US. Have fun planning your trip!
