Happy 2012 Everyone!!!! 10 days and I will be boarding an airplane. I keep watching the weather outlook for that day as we are NOW starting to get snow forcasts and I don't wanna get stuck in an airport so I am stalking accuweather and praying!! Supposed to get 3 inches today...no biggie but I want a sunny day for my flight ...LOL
Even though I packed early, I had to go thru and kinda reconstruct some. I had more tank tops packed then needed so I swapped some of those out for t-shirts. I am always afraid I am gonna forget something. Oh the thought of a 6 hour flight...not looking forward to that.
Anyone else flying in thurs? If so I will be the mom limping around at the hertz counter with a leg cramp from the flight...LOL

Hi, Tess. I just booked my excursions for the 4/29 cruise last night. I will also be on this cruise and can check the table numbers, but I'm wondering if perhaps rather than requesting a specific table number, wouldn't it be easier to request "a table that's on the aisle in all 3 restaurants" as an accessibility accommodation?

Yes, I booked my excursions the other night as well, which is what got me thinking about more planning. How great is it you are going on this cruise as well! We have not been on board since May, so it will be almost a year between cruises.
Thank you for looking out for me! I have tried to request a table on the aisle in past cruises to varying success. On the Panama Canal we were seated near the table I am describing, but were a couple tables in in Parrot Cay and in the corner in Animators. There is only one table that I know of for sure that is on the aisle in all 3.

But, if either of you cannot find it or forget, don't worry, just enjoy your cruise! I cannot wait for April!

Michelle- we also fly in on Thursday (we get in around 4:30pm) and then we are going to head to the hotel and crash for the night (since it will feel like 8:30 when we land and I'm sure closer to 10 by the time we get to the hotel). We have Friday and Saturday at DL and DCA (never been before so I have no clue what to expect or what to try to do) and then off to the boat!!!!! WOOT!

I totally hadn't thought about leaving room in my suitcases to bring FE stuff home, LOL! I keep forgetting that for all the stuff I'm making and giving out, I'll be getting stuff in return. I'm almost finished making the FE itself - just have to bind the edges and put some ribbon on it.

I've spent the morning cleaning ds's room - 10 bags of garbage later...I'm still not done. AND, his birthday is tomorrow and I'm sure he is going to get a ton of stuff which I will again, have to find room for. Ugggg.

I've written my packing list and I've started my "to do" list for pre-travel stuff. It all just seems so overwhelming at this point. The problem for me is that when I get overwhelmed...I just walk away, like I'm about to do today. LOL! I can't wait to not have anything to worry about other than making to the buffet before they close down for breakfast.... Ahhhh.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! May 2012 be filled with good health, happiness and memories to last a lifetime.

Happy new year all! Meg and Ryan left for Nort Carolina yesterday, they were SO excited! It was very cute! Hopefully the snow that they've forecast won't cause any delays!

Michelle- Those long flights are a killer aren't they? It's 12 hours from NZ to LA, I'm going to have a worse limp than you! It's going to take poor Meg and Ryan 23 hours to get to North Carolina and then they only have 12 days rest before flying back across The US to LA so I can't really complain!

Ill think about starting to pack today, realistically I'll do it all the night before, but you never know, this time things might be different! There isn't much left on our list of things to buy or do before we leave, I need to get the door magnets printed and the FEs are nearly finished. Found some shorts for my pirate costume yesterday, wahoooo! This is gonna be good!

We fly in on Thurs at 11am. We will rent a car and head to Hollywood for the day, then Friday goiong to DL, then hanging out sat maybe back to hollywood for a bit & super shuttle private van to the Crowne Plaza at 7pm.

We are leaving Friday at about 3 ish.. get into LAX about 6 ( LA time)
visiting with my Aunt and staying by LAX, Sat -we are going to Universal and then get super shuttle to hotel by port..

Sunday we are going to sail away.. been to the port for the PC cruise on the Magic ..but never sailed into Los Angles before..

My youngest son has been in a band since he was 10ish.plays drums..have spent a lot of time at guitar center and drum pad..LOL

.so i have been to a lot of shows and listened to a lot of practices..some how the band has always practiced in my basement..

Yea drums and percussion for over 35 years now in both the secular and Christian music fields. Live and studio as well as some time in the producer chair. Produced 2 cds we distrbuted to our troops for free titled "Somebody Brave" and "Heroes". Love our men and women who serve our country. Tim

The one thing I will miss about the Dream is the Aquaduck which is the water coaster that goes around the ship and out over the ship. I wonder if they with ever refurbish and build one on both the Wonder and the Magic. Probably not.

Yes we are just rigging our door sign fish extender thing. Got gifts yesterday getting really excited. We are flying through Denver to LAX and it all looks like smooth sailing and looks like our port weather is going to be very good as well. We are in full cruise mode now. See everyone soon. Tim

FE gifts done and some extras in case, FE's completed today, not all my craftyness has disappeared from my brain, but close too it.
DH got a pocket camcorder for a safety award, so that is cool, great way to catch the grandkids!
I can hardly sleep I am so excited!!!!!
I think I have all organized! Thank goodness my daughter in law is an organizer too, she has even started packing! That organizing takes a load off me.
Only 4 1/3 more shifts to go, then on the plane. We are going to fly into LAX on Saturday, get there in the afternoon, staying at the Westin Long Beach, some shopping then off to the port Sunday for 1200 boarding. I read somewhere that getting there just before noon is good, too early and too much waiting around.
Does anyone know if the verandah partitions can be opened so we can share a big one or does that only happen on connecting rooms?

Too funny; I am just about to book the Fantasy Sep 29th cruise and here we see you in less than two weeks for MR. I need to make sure DH can get the time off before we do book thought. He is seniority and vacations were done a month ago so I have to see if we can change them. We have the Oct Hawaii booked but I have changed my mind. I really want the Fantasy and it is much cheaper. So instead of the two week Hawaii trip I am looking at one cruise and a second week touring Southern Colorado specifically staying a few days at a condo in Durango. I hope to add the Sep on in the next few days.

For now, we are flying in late Friday from Denver so I do not miss much class as I will already be missing an entire day the following week. Then doing DL on Sat where we are meeting my sister and her kids who now live in San Diego. Staying at Park Vue as we needed a few rooms and it was cheaper. I hope it is okay.

I believe the babies think I am crazy. I keep talking about the cruise to get them excited, but its been two months now and I am still talking. They just go along with it. I don’t think they get we leave in less than two weeks.

It just dawned on me, we have a 6.5 hour flight...uggg. What the heck am I going to do on an airplane (in a middle seat no less) for 6.5 hours???!

Could you do a paper chain count down for the kiddies? Make construction paper chain links for each day until you leave. Tear of one at bedtime each night and count how many days are left until you leave. When the last one is down, it's time to go!

I don't think the partitions open up unless you have adjoining rooms.
That's awesome that your DH got a pocket camcorder. I love mine but I don't know if I'll bring it since it is just DH and myself.
We are staying at a good neighbor hotel while at DL and we had already booked DCL transport round trip. So, instead of going back to the airport, I called DCL yesterday and had them switch to pick us up at DL hotel. So, we'll get up Sunday morning, Walk (???) about a mile to DL hotel, have breakfast at Tongoroa Terrace and check in at the DCL desk. The bus will pick us up at 12:40 and bring us to the port

Well, for a WDW veteran, I'm definately out of my element setting up my DL trip. I called today (yes, 8 days before we arrive) to try to make dining reservations. Much to my surprise, I was able to grab lunch on Friday and Dinner on Saturday with preferred viewing for World of Color. There is no reservation number, there is no credit card deposit for WOC package, there was availability for both shows. I'm so not used to being able to set things up so last minute.

Well, I've got to figure out what dresses to bring...TTFN!

I hear you, Tim. I've added PV to the Weatherbug app on my phone so this morning when it said it was 29 degrees here in NJ, it was already 65 degrees in PV. Ahhhhh, I am so looking forward to the warmth again.

After setting up all our ressie's for our sept 2011 vacation, yes it was weird just getting ressie now problem 2 days ago for House of Blues. We got that for Friday night. We will take a break from the park for dinner at DTD at HOB. Figure since park is opened from 9am-midnight we will have enough time to hit everything.

I too have accuweather app on my phone. I have detroit cause that's where we are flying from, I have Denver cause that is where our layover is (thurs 8:15am-9:55am denver time), I have PV , Anaheim and Cabo. I keep checking them all everyday Mostly cause I wanna see if there will be snow where I am flying to and from. No delays please!!
