Hi guys! We just booked this cruise last week! My husband, Eric, and my son, TJ (who will be 15 months at cruise time), and I will all be in 9116. It's turning in to be quite the family affair! My in-laws and my parents have all decided to join us and have the rooms right next door! I can't wait!

Anyone find a good deal on a nice hotel in Orlando for the day before?

We're also looking at booking our own transportation to the boat. Anyone else doing this and know of a good company to use?

I think the rate we got at the Hyatt Regency is actually a pretty good deal. They have a discounted rate on junior suites for anyone who happens to be a State or Federal employee. Got a suite for well below $200/N & they have a shuttle service to Port Canaveral. Then we use Disney's Magical Express from the pier to WDW, when we return....

G'day. Thought it was time to introduce myself. My DH, DS(10) and I will be joining you on the cruise. We are from Sydney, Australia. DH and I have been to Disneyland and WDW a number of times over the years...but this will be the first Disney Cruise for all of us. Last time I was on a cruise was in 1977!! I'm sure a lot has changed since then.....I certainly have!

The Hyatt has a shuttle service??? Is there a charge? That's very interesting info! I am just starting to look into transfers.

I may have mis-spoken; DW says we booked shuttle through DCL --
I will have to pull out paperwork and confirm. In any event, the room rate information I stated is correct

You aren't wrong though....the hyatt does have a shuttle to port canaveral. I found it on their website. Not sure if there is a fee yet though, but I'm sure there must be.

Hi everyone! We'll be on this cruise too! This is my DS(11) and my third Disney Cruise and we can't wait. My sister's family (Mom, Dad, DD11, DD1) are joining us as well. I signed us up to the facebook group a while back and have just requested for us to all join the FE! We booked our first cruise at the last minute and were very unprepared and wondered what everything was about - seeing beautiful 'banners w pockets' outside some cabins. We jumped on board right away for our January 2012 our most recent cruise and can't wait to do the FE again!!! Such a fun thing to do! Looking forward to the planning and meeting you all!

Stoney Creek had a real nice Dairy/Ice Cream Parlor, last time I was there (which has been a decade or so, now)

How is the weather up there - it's miserably hot here in the mid-Atlantic

I'm sorry to report that we have decided to cancel our reservation. Still hope to someday sail DCL, just won't work for us in 2013.

All our previous 11 cruises were on Carnival.
We're expecting to be impressed with a difference by DISNEY!

Wow, 11 cruises. Carnival must be nice if you went 11 times. I don't know how Disney compares with Carnival because I have only ever been on Holland America other than Disney. I keep thinking we should try another cruise line sometime, but I keep coming back to Disney. For kids especially everything is great.

We just got to PLATINUM status with Carnival - but now that we are grandparents, we're thinking Disney will be the more appropriate venue for the foreseeable future

I have a daughter who will be 9 at cruise time. She loves to write letters so if your daughter is interested in a pen pal pm me your addy and I will have mine write a letter.
This is our 3rd cruise as well. We have sailed the Magic and the Wonder. So excited to check out the new ship!
