January 10-14 2010!!! 4 nights on the Wonder

My daughter loves the Beast then Belle. She's really looking forward to the Princess and the Frog movie coming out in a few weeks.

I have a feeling they will be playing it on the ship!!! :cool1:
That's the only way I'll be seeing it in the theater. Skylar won't sit during a movie yet, and I don't want to pay just to leave early.

So is anyone else as excited as me to get this cruise started? We sail in six weeks from yesterday, but the way I look at it is....just three more weeks because then it will be Christmas then New Years then we leave. It will go very fast when Christmas gets here. So three more slow weeks then three fast ones. YEAH!

We're celebrating DH's birthday onboard. What a great birthday present. We'll be in Atlantis for his birthday. I'm so excited and can't wait.

I'm currently doing Weight Watchers and I'm losing weight. This is great except that I have to keep trying on all my clothes to see what still fits. Everything is too big and I keep having to buy smaller sizes. hahaha.:laughing:

They'll be playing it on the 12/12 cruise I'm taking, and given that they're still playing Up and G-Force, I imagine they'll still be playing it come this cruise.

How do you find a listing of movies that are playing on the cruise? Do you need to call them?

You can call them 2 weeks out I believe to get the list of movies. We just recently got the list for our 12/12 cruise for example.

Still no room assignment! I'll just have to check again in a few hours. :)
Last year it was funny because I started checking daily at 75 days out! Then one day it just showed up!!! Should be soon now!

Got my room assignment... 6067... deck 6, inside stateroom... I have to admit I am sad... my own fault, but still... I have sever motion sickness... how is deck 6??????????

Congrats on the upgrade to Cat 11 (but you probably assumed that since there are 4 of you!) Deck 6 is great, and a midship inside stateroom should be a low motion location for you. For our cruise next week we were assigned an inside cabin on Deck 1, which will be a new experience for us since we've only sailed in suites on the higher decks!

Given that this cruise is completely sold out for 4 people still (as of this morning at least), I'm not very optomistic about the chances of getting an upgrade at the port unless there is a suite available.

Thanks for the reply!! I was really hoping for Category 9, which I knew was a far shot, but you hear about so many 1st timers getting lucky, I was starting to believe we were too!! I am very thankful to be going and think we will be totally okay with the inside state room. Time to get excited!!

We got upgraded to a cat 11 Room #6039
My parents got upgraded to a cat 11 also room #5639.

Glad to finally get our room numbers! :thumbsup2

Any other time, or had you been a party of 3, I am very sure you would have gotten an upgrade to a Cat 9. The Cat 12 upgrade thread seems to support first time cruisers getting upgrades to window rooms (to entice you to spend more the next time around.) They figure past sailors who book a Cat 12 are doing so because we're cheap, and didn't feel spending the money was worth it. Our Dec 12 cruise had over 20 Cat 12 GTY rooms accounted for on a sailing that was very empty at the time rooms were assigned, and the only ones who got Cat 9 upgrades were the 1st timers. Same for the couple of people who were offerred cheap paid upgrades from Cat 9 to verandah rooms.

But since this sailing has been sold out of 4 person rooms for awhile, I think that's what impacted your room assignment as much as anything, because there just isn't any place for you to go!

Nat - will you be keeping track of the room assignments and updating the fish extender list? Thanks!!

We'll be at AKL the 4 nights before our cruise. I'm continually debating how to get to the port Sunday morning for the cruise.

We currently have a car booked so we can drive to the port Sunday morning, though I'm having some challenges figuring out a good way to pick the car up on Saturday without missing too much of the parks.

We generally like to get to port early to try to snag an upgrade. However I'm not optomistic that there will be a lot of upgrades available since this sailing currently shows no availability for a family of 4 in Cat 4 and below. (Haven't called to ask about Cat 3 availability.) And money's tight so I don't know that I'll be looking for a suite for a 4 nt cruise. So I don't know if it's worth it to get there early or not.

An alternative is we can take DCL transfers from AKL to the port, but I heard they don't leave AKL (or arrive at the port - I'm unsure of which it is) until 12:30pm, which just seems like a loss of an extra couple of hours on the ship, on an already short sailing (we've only done 7nt cruises thus far so it's short to us compared to those cruises.) But this would allow us to check in at the hotel, and not worry about luggage, etc which would be nice.

Nat - I know you'll be there the same time we are (different hotel I think.) What are you and the others doing?

Thanks for all the info. It makes sense... our ship is going to be hopping!

Nat - It looks like we will be close by, as we are 6067. I hope that the people getting on and off elevator aren't too noisy, as it looks like it is right in front of our door. Good thing is, once our girls are asleep, they could sleep through a hurricane!!

We will be arriving Saturday (driving for the first time, 14+ hrs) and will stay at a LaQuinta near the Brevard Zoo, then driving over to the port Sunday morning.

We will be spending a few nights at Caribbean Beach Resort in the pirate themed rooms, before heading home Saturday night. We have a late breakfast ressie at Chef Mickey's thursday, will spend the rest of the day around the resort, Friday at MK, and spend most of saturday at Downtown Disney.

It seems silly, but I am worried that the girls are going to be disappointed with only one day at a theme park. They love love love rides and all things Disney!! I can see my 2 yr old asking for the "toy story ride" which of course is not in MK, lol.

I can't wait to see their reaction though when we go for the dolphin encounter!! They are going to be so stoked. I'm going to put waterproof disposable cameras in all our stockings, so we can be sure to get some good pics.

I need to get started on my FE and gifts... Money is tight right now, so I need to be creative!!

So at the end of December I'll PM everyone on our list to make sure they are still intrested. There are some people that we haven't heard from in awhile.
There is plenty of time for people to join if anyone is still intrested! It's going to be alot of fun!!!

Not really worried about the noise... just hoping that our FE and gifts stay safe. =)

I am getting so excited... can't wait much longer. Just got the vacation approval ealier this week from work - of course, they didn't know that the trip was already booked and was a 'done deal'... :cool1:

Got our upgrade today - didn't get a chance to talk to Natale about it but got the message relayed through my DH... wow!!! Can't wait!!!

Hey Nat - we are assigned 6069! Mommy2Paris - we are neighbors! I am hoping for an upgrade because we are three in a four person cabin! I guess I better not count on it! Soooo much to do in so little time now!!

Congrats on the upgrade! And as noted above, your chances of getting a paid upgrade at the port are better than our chances being a party of 4, though the ship is still very full.

Getting close!!! I can't wait for it to be here!
