Rue McClanahan or Judi Dench for Grandma Mazur. I can really see Judi Dench having a good time in that role!

I LOVE that idea - Steve Buscemi with all of his not attractiveness is a great actor and one of my faves. I don't know why I didn't think of him...

I do agree with Dznyfan...both!!!

Grandma and the caskets would be hilarious. And they could all share 1 room at POP, so it would feel like home!

I just started reading the Plum novels recently and I started on book 9. I know, but I borrowed it from a friend and then I got hooked. I'm on Two for the Dough right now and I love them!

I like the idea of the Rock too, however, isn't Ranger supposed to be small and compact? If I recall correctly, Stephanie is 5'6" and Ranger is only an inch taller than her. Evanovich repeatedly describes him as "cat like."

From the descriptions I have gotten out of the book, Ranger is supposed to be a dark, mysterious, sexy Cuban. And although he has a fantastic body according to Stephanie, he is not much bigger than her.

Which would probably leave out Vin Diesel and The Rock. Although, I think The Rock for Morelli is perfect. Morelli is 6 foot, so it would fit.

As for Johnny Depp - that is an interesting suggestion. Although I am not a fan of Depp, except as a pirate, he might actually be able to pull off a dark and mysterious bounty hunter.

So, who is dark, mysterious, fabulously sexy and has cat-like grace?

There is an actress whom I think would be PERFECT for the part of Stephanie, but for the life of me, I can't remember her name. Ugh, I'll post it if it comes to me.

Tea Leoni would be good. I saw her on a talk show once and she said she grew up in NYC, so she's got the 'tude she needs.

We also need to cast a long-suffering soul to play her Dad.

I also think Ellen DeGeneres, with appropriate aging makeup, would make a fabulous Zany grandmother.

Reese Witherspoon would make a better Valerie than a Stephanie. I agree that Witherspoon doesn't fit the character of Stephanie at all!
