I missed posting here today! We've been having problems with our computer modem. It overheats and then shuts down. I phoned today, the cable company agreed, but we won't get a new modem until next Tuesday. Dh disconnected the modem for me but apparently I wasn't any good at reconnecting it. I wasn't able to get an internet connection. (I'm terrible with copy machines too.) Dh reconnected it for me tonight.
Today's weight was 152. Ugh!!!! The Girl Scout cookies are here!!! I need to get a handle.
Today our family had a big medical emergency. I'm totally worn out. Its been a long long day for me.
Saturday I had a protein shake for breakfast, LC meal for lunch, SO key lime pie - snack pudding cup. For dinner ds & his wife came over for quesadillas - I had one lowfat one with 2 glasses of Squirt!!!

and a mocha bar
Sunday - I didin't eat until dinner time. We had friends over. I went to the store and bought more chicken!!! We'd promised them a fajita dinner. The husband had never had fajitas before. He loved them. I got the big white flour burrito tortillas and the husband had TWO!!! He loved them. My friend kept saying she should fix them for her family. Incidentally, she's lost like 10lbs. She's not over weight - she's always been thin but the past year gained an exta 10lbs. She looks thin again - must be a size 8.
I ate 1 fajita w/cheddar cheese - so good!!!! Love that full fat cheddar! Didn't realize how much I missed it! Also had carrot & celery stix w/lowfat dip. 2 glasses of champagne & 1 Skinny Cow.
Today I was so stressed out that I didn't eat until dinner time. I made the Sante Fe Chicken Soup. It was wonderful. I love spicy soups anyway. Of course I spiced mine up a little more than called for. I only used 2 chicken breasts but in addition to the regular recipe added sauteed green peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes & fiesta corn. I love this recipe.
I couldn't believe it took 30 minutes for the brown rice. That set me back a little. I love the fact that the corn tortillas are cut into slices, placed on a cookie tray & browned without any fat at all. It works!! It tasted delicious in the soup. Before when I made the recipe I used olive oil to saute the corn tortillas in. This I like much betteer. Its faster, less fat & tastes good. Also, cilantro & salsa are the garnish, and I love cilantro. I also put green onions with it for dh because he loves green onions. Neither of us like sour cream so I didn't use that - but it look nice in the picture.
Today I had one bowl of soup, oj and about 8 girl scout cookies - 6 Samoas & 2 the new Cafe ones.
No workout today.
Amy, I bet your kids would love the fajitas with lots of shredded cheese. My older son hates peppers & onions too but loves them plain with cheese & a little salsa and sour cream. I'd like to make the extra spare room a workout room. As it stands now I workout in different rooms depending on what I'm doing. It would be great to have everything finally centralized. We can do this, Amy - its just getting hard because we're at the midway point & leading stressed filled lives!!! We will do this. I'm grateful to be stagnating at a size 12 instead of where I was a year ago.
Beth, I love the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Its sooo good. Great job on hitting below 150lbs!!! I'm right behind you!
Heather, thanks for stopping by. It's great hearing from you!
