Amy and Frogmommy, thanks for cheerin' me on!!! I really need it now. I've been feeling so exhausted - no energy. I haven't had any energy to do workouts. I just feel drained for some reason. I've just gotta hang in there like you have!

Congrats on your 25 lb clippie! Good for you. It's so hard to earn them the closer you get, huh? All the more worthwhile, eh? Keep up the great work!

Just wanted to stop by and say HI! and thank you for stopping by my journal while I was on hiatus.

A ? for you, is the E your middle initial or your last initial. You can PM if you'd like, just wondering, 'cause I'm a Jane E too, but it's my middle initial.

Happy Tuesday! :sunny: :sunny:

You did really good this weekend! My goodness, how many caramel apples did you make?!?! I am so glad ours are gone after my caramel apple binge of last weekend...

Last week I was also exhausted. Usually when I work out I'll get more energy, but last Thursday I was just miserable because my body was so beat! I forced myself to finish both weights and elliptical, but it was tough! I took Friday and Sunday off and now I feel SO much better. Maybe you just need a break or it's the change in season. Or maybe you have caramel apple poisoning...

We need to stick together and we'll be able to conquer this weekend thing! :cheer2:

Keep up all your hard work, look at how far you've come! :cool1:

Woke up & skipped breakfast. I had lots of paperwork today. I didn't feel like eating until 2:30 pm when I had a bowl of chili w/cheese on top. Also, I bought mini eclairs thinking that they were portion controlled. Aacckk! I should have just bought the WW ones. I find myself eating many tiny eclairs at once. I had six after my chili today.

Yesterday, I was not a happy camper. I got a postcard from Disney. Jim Caviezel's dates have moved from 12/7 until later in the month. The whole reason we reserved a CP dinner was to hear him narrate. Jaci Valesquez will be there instead. I'm sure she'll be wonderful. Now, dh & I are undecided what to do.

Jaynee, thanks for stopping by. Glad to see that you're back. Its for my middle initial - Ellen.

Amy, you should know me better by now. I don't make caramel apples I BUY them. Lots of them! I was craving my Milk Duds this past weekend & went with the apples instead. To answer your question, I bought 6 of them! I take the stick out & slice'em up and we eat them for dessert. They're so good!

I see you were feeling tired too, Amy. I just can't beat this. I feel worn up from morning until night. Maybe its all this darn red tide. We've had it steady from May & we live across the street from the creek which feeds into the bay which feeds into the Gulf. Also, I'm about 1.3 miles from the bay so if its infected it could be affecting me. I just hope that I snap out of this soon. Thanks for your support!

Aren't caramel apples the best! Plus, if you're get the small Affy-Tapple kind they really aren't all that bad for you!

I'm caught up in the same switched around Candlelight Processional thing too--I think we're going to bump it a day back and hear Cicely Tyson. I've always liked her work, and I think she might do better as an actor versus a singer. Not that either of them would do badly, of course.

Congrats on the new clippie!

Hi, Jane! I'm sorry you are feeling so exhausted. I really think the weather and the lack of light makes a big difference. I hope you get to feeling re-energized soon. I remember others posting about their disappointment when Cavaziel's dates were changed. I've never seen the CP, but I am sure it will be wonderful whoever narrates it. Have fun planning!

Oh, one last thing -- caramel apples with nuts are a HUGE temptation for me. I actually have taken to avoiding the farmers' market so that I don't buy them. UGH! I couldn't believe it when I figured out it was about 9 points for the large apple with caramel and nuts! That was enough to dissuade me from eating one every weekend! Good luck on beating your addiction ;) I KNOW how hard that is! :rotfl:

A caramel apple is MUCH better than Milk Duds! You made the right choice!

Are you feeling more energetic? I hate it when I get like that for a couple days in a row. It's like I have chronic fatigue syndrome or something. And it seems like the more I sleep the worse it gets... I hope you are starting to snap out of it! :grouphug:

Can you reschedule your reservation to see the guy you want? Are you in the way of Wilma?

Yes, we are in Wilma's way! This morning I took my mother to Walmart so she could stock up on staples. I ended up buying water - big and little bottles, soup, fruit bars,& canned peaches. Then I went to PetSmart to stock up on our animal food.

Everytime those darn hurricanes came last year it was days that I had to work at the ALF. This year its coming on Sunday when I have to work. I hate driving to or from work on hurricane days. WHen Charley came by I left work several hours early to beat him home but fortunately he missed us anyway. There were still broken traffic lights, downed limbs in the road etc. Its just eerie driving and I'm about the only one on the road. I'd rather just stay home & watch the weather from inside the safety of my home.

dinner last night: homemade nachos, 3 mini eclairs, grapefruit soda

breakfast this morning: 1 banana, cereal w/nonfat milk

lunch: 1 deli round from Subway, 1 choc chip cookie, 1 bottle of water - My mom had never eat at Subway so we stopped there for lunch today. She was pleasantly surprised.

Pearlique, Cisely must be pretty good. I think that they've had her before at the CP. We still haven't decided what to do. Those caramel apples are good! Surprisingly the ones at our grocery store are pretty low in fat grams.

Kate, thanks for stopping by!

Cam, its not the lack of light. I live in Florida. Still, since returning from Epcot I've just been zonked. I've had friends call and ask me to go shopping & I just feel to worn out to go. I wonder if perhaps the flu shots have something to do with it. I work in an ALF & every year the residents are given flu shots. I NEVER get the flu shot. Maybe my body is just fighting it out! Anyway, I'm wracking my brain trying to figure it out. Up until now, I've had lots of energy.

Amy, the caramel apples are all gone!! Thank God!! I have no more excuses! I agree that I really need to snap out of this. Aackk! its been bad! Dh & I can't decide what to do about CP. I have a feeling that we may just skip it for this year & rebook next year. THanks for checking in with me thru my ups and downs!

Are you feeling better today? I have been a slacker this week with exercise and feel bad about it, but unfortunately there is nothing I can do to fix it, so I just have to get over it! Next week I'll be back in my regular groove.

Good thing those caramel apples are gone! Now you just need to ditch those eclairs and you'll be all set.

Do you have any healthy-eating-wrecker plans this weekend? We are not doing anything social, so I think I will do A-OK!! You can too!

Hope you are spared by Wilma. Hang in there! :flower:

Amy, I'm feeling much better today. That worn out feeling is lifting. I'm back on track!

30 minutes of yoga

breakfast: pineapple 1 C

lunch: Tomato basil burger w/ bun

Today Mom asked me if I was leaving or evacuating?! I told her that was the same thing. If we do have to evacuate she'll probably go with my brother because we have a cat and a dog to take. I told her she was more than welcome to go with us but I doubt we'll leave. In all of the years I've lived in Florida I've never left. Last year my neighbors evacuated & went inland. That hurricane missed us & hit them. They evacuated right into the path of the hurricane.

I'm glad to hear you are getting your energy back! Your mom cracks me up. What did she say when you corrected her? At least with a hurricane you have ample warning and can make an educated decision whether or not to leave. I lived in Wichita for 5 years and my house got hit by a tornado in May '99. It was awful. There was very little warning and it was almost 9pm and I was home by myself with DS, who was 3, and I was 8 months preggers with DD. Not a pleasant experience...

I hope you are able to weather out the storm unscathed. I will be thinking about you this weekend! Stay safe (and lay off those eclairs!)!

Hope Wilma misses you!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I was going to suggest maybe an infection of some kind, or even mono? Now that I've learned all about it with DD!

Stay safe, thinking of you. :sunny:

Hi Jane-

Glad to see you are feeling better.

Wilma looks to be so unpredictable and slow. My dad lives in Miami. First he was getting out, then he wasn't. Now I'm not sure what he's doing. He was like your neighbors during one of the hurricanes last year. They left and went somewhere on the west coast just to have more damage where they ended up. I hope you guys aren't affected by this one.

Too funny, my middle name is Ellen too, but spelled Ellyn.

Glad to hear that things are going well for you... Definately keep an eye on that hurricane.

Gotta jet, but wanted to say Hi!

Happy Saturday! :sunny: :sunny:

40 minutes of walking

Yesterday
breakfast: cereal w/nonfat milk, fresh pineapple

dinner: 1/2 chix nachos, 2 Long Island Iced Teas

Today
breakfast: cereal w/nonfat milk, fresh pineapple

lunch: LC thai chix, lowfat brownie

dinner: dh is grilling hamburgers for dinner

I've been feeling much better the past couple of days.

Amy, Mom didn't say anything when I corrected her - she just laughed along with me. That tornado must've been terrifying. Those things move so quickly and cause so much damage! How'd you ever make it? Did you have a basement? I can't imagine being pregnant and having a small child with me thru that.

Kate, I don't know what it was but it sure had me fatigued. I'm so glad its over! Keep us updated about your surgery.

Hey Frogmommy, I hope this one misses your dad. He must've been mad when he ran into the other hurricane. You never know for sure what to do. I've gotten in lots of water, batteries & food so we should be fine.

Jay-nee, thats funny & both of our names are spelled differently from each other. There's also an E.Jane on these boards but I've never found out what her E is for. Thanks for stopping by!

Hopefully, we won't lose electric and I'll be able to post tomorrow!

Your weekend was awesome! You did way better than I did... :rolleyes1 I need to behave 100% this week because our Halloween party is this weekend and I know I am going to eat/drink a lot (OK, DRINK a lot  ). At least it is at our house and I have control of the food. I am making a LF Chex mix with garbanzo beans (baked until they are crunchy), wheat Chex, dried pineapple, raisins and different seasonings. Hopefully it is good!

Yes, that tornado was one of the worst experiences of my life. This was an older house and you had to go outside to get to the basement and I didn't have time so we went into the bathtub while all the windows were breaking and the roof was getting torn off. Then it started raining in my house. It was freaky and I about had a panic attack everytime there was a thunderstorm for almost a year afterwards... And I immediately started looking for a transfer back to AZ!! I hope you and your family are safe from Wilma. :grouphug:

You are doing great with your eating and exercising, keep it up! :cheer2:

We were so fortunate. We didn't lose our electric this time. It came thru so fast it was mainly wind where we were at. We also didn't have a storm surge which is always a big worry.

I couldn't fall asleep last night. Finally at about 2am I fell asleep. At 6am the weather woke us up. We put on the newschannels until 10am when it seemed the storm had gone by. Then at 10:30am we went back to bed until about 2pm to finally get some sleep.

25 minute weight workout

breakfast: cereal w/lowfat milk

lunch: banana, pnut butter & jam sandwich

snack: pinapple and potato salad

dinner: 4 chix wings & 1 1/2 red potatoes - dh met with a couple of friends at a local sports' bar at 5pm and brought home chix wings & red potatoes for us to eat.

Amy, that was totally horrific!! I can't imagine being in a house thats being ripped apart by a tornado & not being able to get into the basement. I don't blame you for being freaked out about thunderstorms. No wonder you love AZ so much!

On a lighter note, let me know how your Chex Mix turns out! I didn't do better than you did this past weekend. I got off easy. We were invited out Friday night but I didn't go. I decided to stay home & take it easy. Dh went, met everyone for drinks and brought me back dinner. This week; however, we have a family dinner out at an Italian restaurant. Thats the worst kind of temptation for me. I love Italian food & we never go out for Italian because dh doesn't really care for it.

This week is going to be much better for me exercise wise!

My weight is still the same - No loss - but I can see why.

40 minutes of walking this morning :cool1:

breakfast: cereal w/nonfat milk, fresh pineapple
