I'm getting reaaaaaaly excited at the prospect of taking Baby Bee to WDW.

We've been planning to go to DLRP next summer and then WDW in 2016/17.

Instead I think we might weaken and skip DLRP and go to WDW early 2015 before she is 2 instead.

So - which month Jan-Feb would you pick to go and why?

I would choose late April as there is most chance of swimming weather :thumbsup2

I went from January 3rd for just over 3 weeks this year with my twins 8 months at the time we had lovely weather for most days high 70s low 80s we did have some days in the higher 60s. Tbh I found the weather perfect for my 2 and had them swimming lots just not the days in the 60s plus the days we did the parks we had really low crowds and 5 minute waits :). The evenings did get a little cooler but we just put a jumper on. We are going to go for christmas this year and stay until mid January as we always love that time of year :).

I haven't been during any of these month but I would go for April aswell as its likely to be nicer weather.

id probably go early feb. Ive not been myself at that time but i know people that have and have said its low crowds but warmer than Jan.

Depending on how early easter falls thst year spring break crowds will start in mid March.

We have taken Megan several times (4months, 18months and 24months) and she honestly handled hot weather great (we went in May and Sept) but she didnt enjoy the crowds so much. I think she felt more intimidated by so many people around her.

Quiter parks allowed her to walk more and take things at a more relaxed pace.

This is where we all different - we went in December and most days it was high 70s and a couple of days it was just about 80 but we didn't swim at all. DD would have just been too cold and I don't get in a pool if it is less than 85!

I have swam in March and April before but the crowds were worse in March hence picking April after Easter. We have been every month except Jan.

I voted for April (after the Easter break if possible)

Yes, there can be nice days in Jan/Feb but chances are there will be cold days and you will likely have to wrap up in the evenings. (When we lived in Miami, these were the months the locals would be out and about in their fur coats!:rotfl:)

March is nice weather but has the spring break crowd but later in April it will be a lovely temperature and the crowds should be manageable.

The thing to remember about Orlando winter weather is that it is highly variable and can fluctuate wildly within the same week. We have visited Christmas into New Year and been swimming and bought hats and gloves to wear in the same two week trip. The later in the year you go the better your chance of hot weather. I have visited in mid March and still had days where I can't swim and am wearing jeans and others sitting at the pool all day. After weather, crowds are a consideration. The few weeks after NY have cleared will be amongst the lowest crowds. The days around the weekends of Presidents Day and Martin Luther King day are public holidays so swell the crowds for a few days in Jan and Feb. Then Spring Break begins in March in the US and actually runs into our long UK Easter school holiday pretty much as Easter is so early in 2013. It is very busy the two weeks around Easter. So for 2013 as Easter is early, if I was not confined to school holidays as I am, I would go as late in April as possible for your query, avoiding both very high crowds and increasing my chances of hot with low rain fall. If you're looking at 2014 I would apply the same rationale to above. The other thing to then check is which Disney season you are in as this affects price. UK school holidays have a massive impact on direct flight prices too. Personally I would find the cheapest airfare for your period and plan around that as flights for us as a family of 4 are the biggest cost consideration.

Thanks guys. :)

I guess it's a toss up between January and April then.

We went Mar 24-April 15 in 2011 and it was very hot and pretty busy. But I guess is Easter is earlier in 2015 then we could be luckier.

Also depends on when the little lady makes her appearance as we need to fly back before her 2nd birthday to have her fly for free.

I was expecting more votes for January to be honest as that's when I was leaning towards going but the risk of snow at this end and cold days at that end does make it a little daunting.

Sure I know everyone is different lol just how we did it on my resent trip and most of my trips at that time of the year :). It's the same as if I'm at home the weather worked out between 25-30 degrees our weather if I went to the beach here I'd get into the water so I'd be no different for us to get into a pool in Florida. But I also know January can get cold. I put January because in op post it has January - February I did not cop the jan- April in the headline of the post lol april after Easter is also a nice time to go as the weather is lovely and the crowds are manageable.

If it was a once every couple of years there is no way I would do Jan or Feb. Too much chance of snow disruption this end and I don't think I would want to wandering the parks in jeans & jackets either.

When we used to go less often the hot sunshine was one of the things we loved most :)

In 2015 Easter Sunday is the 5th April so any time after 12th will have lower very manageable crowds.

I voted April *** I've been twice in Late April and once very Early May.

Weather was beautiful (perhaps a little TOO hot for a 2 year old?!) and the crowds were minimal. Of course, booking at this time you have to be careful of Easter and Spring Break and all that jazz...

Enjoy, whatever you book. :goodvibes

Jan and the beginning of Feb are really (really!) quiet park wise and then you reach the American spring break season which gets busy.
The parks look beautiful in spring and Flower and Garden in fun in April.
