I've updated your info! Were you interested in joining the FE? We can all answer any questions you have about it!

Thanks, CarreyW--it looks like a gift exchange? When I have a bit more time, I will go though all the posts and see if I can figure it out, or is there a website that explains it?

I couldn't find any website that explains it. It's basically a gift exchange. People hang pockets outside their stateroom doors (like stockings) and everyone goes by throughout the cruise and drops off gifts in the pockets (like Santa)! If you sign up for the FE, you would need to buy/make/create gifts for the other people participating and drop off your gift(s) at some point during the cruise.

It's fun because when you get back to your stateroom you find little gifties have been left for you!

I'm glad to know your similar age kids will be on board JBTZHGCSmith! Will both your eight year old and your ten year old go to the Lab? I feel a little funny about them missing school that week, but I know it will be a life long memory for us all.

Laura

I know what you mean about missing school, but I'm thinking it will be totally worth it! Having never cruised before, I don't know what to expect on a daily basis, but I do know my kids are really excited about the lab. And they'll for sure be there while we're at Palo!:cool1: How about your kids?

Yes, they are very excited for the kids club! My son is also interested in the Edge, but I think he must be 11 to go there. I still need to make Palo reservations-- I have been waiting to see if the Grandmas are coming or not to plan our activities.

We will probably bring some school work, although I know it will be hard to do once we are on board! I haven't told their teachers yet-- I feel a little sheepish... (but not enough not to go!)

My 12 year old is going to the Edge, and he's a little bummed that He's the only one in our family that can go there. I'm sure we'll have a ton of homework- I have 4 kids in school! I figure I'll send a note with each kid to school a week before, and then we'll take it as we get it. We have a 9 hour drive to get to LA, so hopefully we can get a lot done on the drive. We'll still have to read each day, but I'm hoping we won't have to do a lot of homework on the cruise!

For my FE, I need to know everyone's family name. For example, mine would be: The Ward Family

If people don't want to give their last names, that's fine too. Their gift just won't be personalized. :)

When I get accepted into the Facebook group, I'll post it up there for you (although, once I'm in the group, you'll be able to see it anyways.) :thumbsup2

We are the James/D'Anna Family :)

We would be the Lucas family. I think we will be doing plan B. Something for each room several days throughout the trip.

Thanks for the youtube link for the zip lines. Caitlin is not doing the canopy adventure in PV. There is one that is almost all zip lines. She doesn't want to repel down the waterfall and get wet. She's also doing the desert looking one on Cabo. youtube has video of all of them so, thanks again.

Mom is much more sedate. I'm going whale watching and sight seeing. I am booked to play with the sea lions, though.

Our last 2 cruises we didn't do any excursion so we're excited this time.

THANKS for the list update on options
the FE list is adding up fast ! im thinking most who want to split can split and thos who want to do all once can do that then those who want to do all once or twice can do that but it looks like lots are in favor of the split - I bet by thanksgiving we will have 9 and 9 - 18 so Im going to make things for 10 that way if any late joiners join I will add them ( not everyone has to )

we are all getting chatty here :-) LOVE THIS !:lovestruc

Since there will be Three of us in our room it will not be family name themed so you can use
Denver
Winda
and
Wanda

Julie ( wanda ) and I are besties since childhood and that is our nick name for each other - you will see my slider says winda wanda and wookie on it - Wookie is Denvers nickname :-)

hope this helps !

54 days kids !

Hi everyone, we will be doing option A. One big gift per room for the FE. Also, our family name is Radoc Factoran.

Hi  I think we will be going with B a gift for the cabin a few times during the cruise. We are the Robinson's. Our group is really growing!!!

The FE Survey
A - I plan on doing one gift per stateroom for the cruise
B- I plan on doing one gift per room a few times
C- I plan on doing all cabins all days
D- I plan on doing all cabins all days as long as the group is split or a managable number or
E - other ( let us know your plans )

Plan A
Brumbie13
carreyw
laalac
marianner
Matt (carreyw's dad)

Plan B
luvmykids
micandkay

Plan C
Canadian_Disney_Mom

Plan D
denversees4me
JBTZHGC_Smith
MrsJames

Plan E

I think I might have to change to D if the FE gets any bigger. If the group gets too big, most of the days I will still have one gift per cabin, but I might have to give one or two days to just half the group.
